Just thought I'd get the thread up and running and see who's going. Sadly, I won't be there unless two things happen:

a) I can save more money for going.
b) If there's a train station in Columbus that Amtrak stops at and someone can pick me up.

But enough about me. Who else plans to attend?

Sadly, not for me either. I'm going to be totally Conventioned-out by that time. Plus Califur is sort of near then, if I'm not mistaken, and I might go to that just because it's convineintly located.

I'll be there- I've already volunteered with the con staff again this year to help WS and Kada-Ru with the Furtopia Hopitality suite they run.

This is a small con still, last year had I believe 165 furs attending, so it's a great con for a first timer (it was my first con when I went last year). There's plenty to do but not so much that you're overwhelmed and it allows you to meet almost every fur there

Aloha! Ya'll know I'll be there, its just a 55 minute drive for me. Oh BTW the Dragon pen and ink (on the 2006 Morphicon page) that is getting it's tail salted and peppered is my handy work.

Well, I just checked the main Amtrak website tonight and it definately looks like I won't be able to go. ':cry:'

The closest that any trains run through Ohio is Cinncinati or Cleveland.

Wait a sec, I just had an idea! ':shock:'

Maybe I can get a ride from..........Drew Carey?

I want to goto Morphicon but i may be stuck helping on staff for Anime Central... (Morphicon 30 minutes away, Acen 7 hours)

But if i do goto Morphicon I will be ride/room sharing. So if anyone around the Marysville area wants a ride, etc. I'll be open.

I am most definately going this year!

I've been to many cons (various fandoms) & Morphicon has got to be one of the best, most positive conventions I've attended.

I had *the* best gophering experience I've ever had last year, & look forward to having just as much fun this year, too.

I'll be getting there a day early & staying a day late, otherwise I'd offer to car-pool with any Cincinnati-area furs.

Look me up, people. I'm hard to overlook, & I love to meet & shoot the breeze.

ill be there! ive decided! *waves flag* i will have a room available, and it will be open to roommates!

BUT! one bed is already tooken for myself so NYH!

Rooming qualifications:
-Pay by how many people are in room (you know...2 people...1/2 3 people 1/3...so forth)
-DO NOT SLEEP ON XIANCAS BED!
-Shower items and clothes will be kept around your luggage vicinity
-over 18 and over 21 stuff IS permitted but let Xianca know 1st

I'm considering it, as I live in Ohio and all.

But I really want my suit's con debut to be Anthrocon so maybe I won't go. We'll see.

Although, to those of you who have been:

I'm a socialite and a party girl (and a fursuiter), would Morphicon be crazy enough for me, or is it too small? What's the fursuiting situation there?

From what I've heard and read, Morphicon is somewhat small. I think this year will be the second or third time the con's been held. Not sure. Not sure how many fursuiters were at last year's con; perhaps less than 100. *shrugs* Best advice would be to PM Kada-Ru and WhiteShepherd and ask them what the con is like since they both worked the Hospitality Suite at past cons and will be involved at this year's con as well.

Yes, Kobuk, this is going to be their 3 year and they have been growing each year which is a really good thing.

We run the Hospitality Suite (food for con goers and free) and WS runs the Internet section that is also in the Hospitality Suite.

WS says there was a LOT of fursuiters there last year. Bring them and show them off!! Don't be surprised if I ask if I can take your pictures! LOL

First, there are LOTS of fursuits. So many in fact they were asking for volunteers to fill a suit for the furry variety show.

Second, come, & bring your fursuit. Morphicon prides itself on having an actual competition Masquerade. In other words, judging and real prizes-- not just a 'hey check us out, we're in fursuits, take our piccies' display.

And yes, Morphicon is plenty crazy & fun & enthused. All they ask is you follow con guidelines, respect the hotel staff & property, don't squick the mundanes, and don't break any laws.

RK posted earlier in the thread that we would be attending. Sadly, we won't be this year. The drive is extremely far and we decided to see how RCFM was going to be this year, since we heard good things. We'll sorely miss our friends who'll be there.... ':cry:'

I wish that I can go but I'm saving my expenses to attend Anthrocon in June but maybe next year I might attend Morphicon
