(2) Would it be possible to stay at an off-site motel? (since everyone I've ever talked to stays at the hotel itself)
(3) Just how comfortable do you suspect a non-fur is likely to be at something like this? He happens to be fairly conservative and quite possibly easily squicked.

1) Join OhioFurs! www.ohiofur.net . There's nothing BUT furs in Ohio.
2.) Go!

1.) You have to register for conventions.. they ain't free and cost a lot of money to run..so yes, it's a membership fee..I suppose you can call it a cover charge. Volunteer to work and get discounts in the future. . .
2.) You can stay wherever you so desire, but you really wanna stay at the hotel... you'll get to hang out with folks all night!
3.) No one can speak for your friend. You need to ask him if he wants to hang around a bunch of furries. It's just...furries hanging out. Look at the webpage and the events. http://www.morphicon.org . While there are 18-and-up events (mostly those are listed that way because due to the subject matter, the conversations can easily lean that way), the con itself is family friendly. But the real question is, does your friend think I'm a loser for wearing a dragon suit?

Guess you missed my last post. I'm going. The two of us, and quite possibly his friend who lives nearby, are definitely going. He's been to the website and been briefed, briefly, on what the fandom is and claims to understand well enough. But I doubt he'll quite be prepared for the mega-abundance of 'suiters. I've heard that only something like 10% of furries actually go in full suit, but if the selection from this site is any indication, it'll be more like 90%.

Sadly I most likely have to remove myself from the list- unexpected money problems relating to my being on disability have taken a sudden chunk out of my budget for the next month or two. It's an 8 hour drive for me and that requires staying from Thurs thru Mon and four days of hotel room costs (even split four ways) is just not possible for me at this time.

New turn of events:
Turns out I'll be DJ'ing the last 90 minutes of the dance on Friday.
Heh! Even more of a reason you need to go!
. . .This is the first time I've DJ'ed a dance as opposed to live radio, shoutcast, or events. . .hehe, I wonder if I'll sound too much like a radio DJ? . . .although, I think that's what they wanted for that time...

And Foxwolf, if you want a purrsonalized badge from me, there's a link at the bottom of all my posts to furbid auctions. The only time I don't have a conbadge auction is when I'm currently drawing one. im offically attending. apperently after asking if i could just put my voulenter hours tword this year, (because i really was just looking for some way to go as i really wanted to) someone stepped forward and anoynomously donated the money so i could attened. im so excited!

I realize this is coming on short notice.

Since there are so many of us Furtopians attending Morphicon, it'd be nice for us to get together for an hour or two of saying howdy, putting faces to the fursonas & names, hugging & teasing & driving each other nutsy-cookoo. Also doodling in each other's sketchbooks, as well as the El-Cheapo But Nifty Furtopia Sketchbook I'm donating for just such an occasion. What say you??

It would be best to gather in The Feed Lot (Bishop Chase room), since that is where Kada & White Shepherd are spending 99.9% of their time as indentured servants---errrrr, running the hospitality/computer suite.

I suggest Saturday, 7:00pm (after the chili dinner & before the Art Schmooze & Dance).

I'll leave the Furtopia Sketchbook with Kada & WS, so if you can't meet-n-greet but still want to sign or doodle in the Furtopia Sketchbook, look them up.

If anybody needs to find me, just look for the biggest broad there (that'll be me). I'll be in Registration most of Saturday morning as well (9am to 2pm). Stop by, say hi. Free hugs to all who will accept them.

Hey everyone

'> Frantic Fox and I got here Thursday night. We met up with Aloha and got moved into our room. Afterwards we took a quick walk, it was quiet so we retired to our room and chatted. Aloha showed off his new suit. It is really nice.

After a bit Frantic Fox asked to hang out in the hall, he was wanting to meed other furs soo badly. He did

Friday was a busy day. I helped out in registration and Frantic Fox helped Kada with some setup in the Hospitality suite. This is a good reason to attend Morphicon. They FEED you for free so that you have more $$ to have fun with.

Met lots of my furry friends and met some new ones... well many new ones

I hosted a panel on Weasels, but unfortunately it was running against free pizza and a puppet show so turnout was not too good. Still we had a good time. We brought pizza and soda with us. Late friday night many of us got togeher and played a game called werewolves, it was loads of fun!

Well now it is Saturday morning and I am chilling out, getting some breakfast and waiting for others to wake up.

Aloha Ya'll! I'm having a good time so far, it was a little touch and go after a very late night private P-A-R-T-Y! Friday late thru the wee hours of Saturday morning. I'm OK, now and currently in the holding pattern for our GOH (Guest Of Honor) dinner, then on to rehersals for the FVS (Furry Variety Show).

Roma was well liked and my performance in the Masque went very well but I was lost out by "one" point to my competition---electronic animation will get you every time. LOL.

Oh man, so the only way the con would've been more awesome is if I'd been able to make it on Friday as well.

Sabertoothlynx and I arrived in time for brunch on Saturday and went out to First Watch with a bunch of our friends. Lascivus and Frantic Fox wandered around the con for awhile with me and Sabertoothlynx, and went swimming later on. It was a very relaxing con, and while I wish I could've made it to Friday's events, it was nice just being able to chill with my best friends for a weekend.

I'll post pics and stuff after work. *hugs*
