Attention members: regarding PMs

Since the change to the forums we have yet to find a way for the forums to automatically tell members when they received a PM.
Due to this I recommend you either check your PMs on a regular basis or stop in at your profile and click the personal message options link on the left. This will give you a few options one being "Show a pop-up when you receive new messages?" you can check this to get a pop-up when you enter the forum that says if you have PM. You can also use the option underneath that to turn email notification for PMs on.
I hope this helps some confusion about people not knowing they have private messages.

I was kinda wondering about this. I checked my PMs the other day, and discovered that I had three undread messages (some that had been there for a while ). I clicked the little pop-up option, so I'm hoping that helps. Otherwise, I'm still checking them much more actively now.

Something else that's up with the PM system, whenever I send a message it never appears in my outbox. That's always empty, whether the other guy got my message or not.

When sending a PM have you made sure you have the option "Save a copy to my outbox" ticked underneath where you type the message?

Yeah, by the way, there's an option in your profile that makes that box automatically be checked by default, so you don't have worry about checking it each time you compose a message...
