Batman: Inferno by Alex Irvine

Saw it in Barnes and Noble and it looked interesting so I picked it up. It was a nice change to see Batman written in novel form, and it's fairly well done with POVs between Bruce, Joker and this arsonist, created by the author, named Enfer.

Fahrenheit 451 is such a good book. :)

I just reread Slaughterhouse-Five by Kurt Vonnegut... I think the next book I read is going to be The Talented Mr. Ripley by Patricia Highsmith.

It's my favorite by him. I like it better than Cat's Cradle.

Now reading: Venus in Furs by Leopold von Sacher-Masoch
Also: Buddha, a graphic novel by Osamu Tezuka
I can read two at once only if one is a comic. Otherwise, no.

Taking a brief pause on Let The Right On In (note: it's fabulous! Read it if you can) to dive into a book I got for Christmas: I'm a Lebowski, you're a Lebowski.

It's all about The Big Lebowski :)

Same here, I couldn't get into Cat's Cradle that much. Actually, Slaughterhouse-Five was the only book of his I enjoyed, really... I guess I'm just not a fan, but I can't figure out why not. Also, is Venus in Furs good?

Also also, um, I deleted your double post. Consider this your official mod notification. :D

the last 20 pages of the hitchhikers guide tot the galaxy, mostly harmless: part5 in a trilogy of 5! (i wonder how it's gonna end!) *explodes with anticipation*
Sometimes I wonder how easily I am influenced by those around me. The need to fit in somewhere always tugs at me from the back of my mind, even though I should be doing my own thing.

Kurt Vonnegut has neat ideas, but I think his characters are sorta flat. And sometimes it feels like he's trying to jam his ideas down your esophagus...but I still like him.

Actually, I'm really enjoying Venus in Furs. It's good in a different way than most "Great Books." The book is 90% the two main characters talking about their philosophies of love or acting them out. Sacher-Masoch doesn't write as smoothly and isn't as technically skilled as others, but there's a raw honesty in it that makes the characters come alive.
Just for comparison, I like it better than "Lady Chatterly's Lover," if you've read that one.

Im about halfway through the final book in the twilight. The series is AWESOME, as theres a good bit of romance in each novel, but at the same time a good chunk of action (usually at the end). It took me about 3 weeks to read the first 3 books, (im a fast reader) and it would have took me 2 but i had to wait a week to get the third one.
duct tape is like the force. It has a dark side, a light side, and i holds the universe together.

Just finished, "Our Town,"  the play by thornton wilder....  Didn't like it much,   though it had an interesting theme.

Now on the fourth chapter of "Guliver's Travels,"  by Jonathan Swift.  This one i am actualy enjoying.

Also...  On the note of Jonathan Swift...  I just read, "A Modest Proposal,"   :o         ............          :o    Lol.  Awesome satire...   But it was...  Morbid...

So many school books to read,  so soon...    ;)

I just finished "The Long Walk" by Stephen King. (writing as Richard Bachman.)  It was weird, to say the least, but I really liked it.  It was pretty sad, too, at the end.

The Sight by David Clement-Davies

It's basically the life of a wolf pack and involves their own "bible references." It's quite an interesting book.

"The world is my tide, but I am the ocean."
