Realistic wolf tails
« on: October 29, 2013, 03:42:39 am »
Looking for an arctic wolf tail.

Everything i find looks pretty-much like a tube,  or ultra toony.

I'm 6'3'' so it'd need to be a decently long one,  but i also want something fairly realistic (rather than toony) looking,  and i'm not quite sure where to look for something like that.

Any recommendations?  I'll take recomendations for toony ones as well even.

I'm not sure what you mean by realistic in this case.  Have any examples?  I have a fairly large gallery of tails I've done, are any of them what you're looking for? http://www.sparkcostumes.com/gallery/index.php?cat=12

Tails made with yarn, like Jorinda linked to, are pretty realistic. However, they take some time to make. I contacted one person who made herself a wolf tail and it said it took her around 40 hours to make it. However, they look really nice. So if you want to make one of those, be warned that it'll take you some time to make depending on the colors and patterns.
