I -have- had
12 cats
a bijillion fish
1 iguana
2 snakes

what I have now is,
1 Gwarmi named gwarmi(its a type of fish)
1 Burmese python named Lucky
and 3 cats Mogwai, Alice(BITTY!! ) and Poops(oscar)
Poops is with me about 90% of the time when I at my home computer. He used to sleep on my monitor constantly till I got an LCD... but here is an

Our family currently has a female rabbit (we're not sure what breed she is since she was given to us) named Nibbles and a an angelfish we call El angelito

Pets we've had in the past:

A male guinea pig (Caramelo)

3 hamsters. (Gerby, Bolito, and Corb)

4 parakeets (Primavera, Colibri, Blanca Nieves, and one who died before we could name it.

countless of unamed fish.

I've never liked it when people had more pets then they had time for. Its one of my biggest pet peeves that I have with fokes at work. One girl has 17 pets...17!! There is no way she has time for them and work. I barley have time for my two rats and cat.

So I have three pets. Not including my hubby. Hehe!

Was going to make this topic, then decided to search first....

They've all been dogs.

Purebred golden retrievers, shamrock and riley, since I was born. And them a chow/german shepherd/ golden retreiver mix named Kelly. Loved that dog alot, she was like a mother to me. And then my sisters little rat terrier bucky (fiesty and whiney!

And then for an early christmas present I got Bailey, my black lab. He started out full of worms and unhealthy, he could barely walk on his own. Now he is strong and fit and a happy dog!

Bailey and Kelly were pound dogs, I think it's better than buying bred dogs. You are saving their life and giving them a good home and loving family.

I'de like to get some real big dogs, maybe another golden retriever, and a German Shepard. I like dogs with thick fur (as opposed to hair) They both seem like loyal and intelligent breeds.

I think 3 dogs would be max for me though. Sounds about right.

What a FUN thread! I love reading about what everyone has had and currently has! So, here is my contribution:

Growing up we had hermit crabs, fish, birds, cats, and dogs.

Once on my own, I have had:

2 German Shepherds, Klaus and Bismarck
1 Doberman, Keiko
too many Italian Greyhounds to count (I do rescue)
various cats
ratties
skunks
marmoset, Tamlin

Currently, I have:

5 skunks (Neo, Trinity, Mocha, Fizzgig and Sunny)
Italian Greyhounds, Ike and Minnie (fosters)
Coatimundis (Kairi and Mei Mei)

I've owned a mouse and two rats. Â If you want to count the family pets, add on 5 gerbils, two more mice, and a beta fish. Â I think the pet I was most attached to was Baker, a black Hooded rat. Â He died about a year ago. Â Lung tumor. Â His brother went the year before. Â Able had a tumor that went through his kideys and his liver. Â

Lets see. I used to have a dachshund, 2 parakeets, 10 goldfish, a bunch of other fish (I was young so I don't remember), a mini shark, an anole, and a guinea pig. They were mostly when I was younger...

Right now I have a cat (My babyyyy <3 May 15th 1993=birthday) Willy, and two firebellies Sancho and Pancho (Sancho is 5 going on 6 and the Pancho will be going on one year).

I also have a dog and a kitten, but they are only partly mine (family).

When I was young I had two cats, a bunch of hamsters and a tank of goldfish. These days I've just got a snow white cat and a king charles cavalier dog. I remember having a cockatiel at one stage as well.

How does one go about summoning the will to look after and pay for so many animals. >.>
