Any of you guys have one? Do they make alot of noise? I want to get one for my cat, she is timid around odd noises. I hate cat box odor, but I don't want her to be scared. '<img'> Help?

Bleh, those electric ones don't work very well.

My cats were just like "what the heck is this?" when we got one.

They like the regular boxes better.

Don't bother with it.

I have one I got for my cat, and the motor burned out on it after only 6 months. And yes, they're noisy. Things sound like a buzz saw in need of serious oiling. The containers on them are horridly expensive and have to be changed out almost every day. They don't even lock out oder that well. That's more the function of the litter you use.

Right now, the one I have is being used as a regular litter box.

I got the "Litter Maid" ("Veterinarian Recommended!") It ran about $100 for the base model, and it's roughly $15 for a set of containers which last maybe 7-10 days per pack.

Do yourself a favor. Just scoop the poop yourself.

You cant find the older models in stores anymore, only online. And the ones that the stores DO carry are the Eliete or Mega ones...which come with a Ionic air thing..yadda yadda and will set you about $200 back.

Roll up your sleeves and just dig in.

My family got one and my cat was TERRIFIED of it!

I would be too of course, I mean what if that thing suddenly scooped you up while you were doing your business? o.o

Oh yeah, that's the other thing I forgot to mention. They're *very* wasteful of litter. You'll end up going through a significant amount more litter then you would manualy scooping.
