Title: Lawrence (Bitza Wolf) does art!
Post by: Timberwuff on January 15, 2015, 01:15:29 am
I don't play art very often since it takes a lot of time and energy to complete a piece, but occasionally I can produce reasonable results. :D

I've been playing a lot of hearthstone lately, so I spent a few weeks painting this one! It's digitally painted (SVG) in Inkscape.

Nice job on the digital painting.

Thanks for sharing.

Very nice. Makes me wonder just what kind of a hand you've dealt. ;)

I spent a few hours on this one today. It started out as anatomy/sketch practice, but I had a very satisfying time taking a lot of time to take it beyond a sketch.

It's not well drawn, but it speaks of my skill level at this time. Just more practice and it will all become easier and faster.

Also posted this to Furry Art School on Reddit (http://www.reddit.com/r/FurryArtSchool/), but thought you fuzzies might enjoy something I don't ordinarily post online.

I found a nice sketching site that presents you with a real-life picture to draw within a time limit you set. Always interesting poses too and it really helps me learn anatomy. Gesture drawing as it were.

Keep up the good work. Practice is the key.

Another good idea is to mirror your drawings. This helps show distortions
you might not notice otherwise.  :orbunny:

Finally got around to uploading this!

It's a drawing I made referencing it out of a big book of native tribal drawings. I'm so sorry, and I don't want to get the name of the tribe wrong, but I don't know what the tribe's name was. This was done at a Summer Camp back in 2007 I believe. The camp was held on the beautiful Olympic Peninsula here in Washington State.

The native style of art is always interesting to look at. You did a nice job on this one. :orbunny:
