Title: Phinox does art....
Post by: phinox on April 13, 2015, 09:27:04 am
So I had my first real go at sketching my fursona in detail. I unfortunately don't have a computer or laptop so until I do (probably end of this year) I'm going to keep sketching. Any feedback is welcome! :) http://s1301.photobucket.com/user/phinox_76/media/Mobile%20Uploads/20150413_140843_zpsxpozewrw.jpg.html?sort=3&o=0

Looks good for your first fursona drawing. The thing I suggest though is that, try to put some more detail in the shoulders. Other than that looks good, keep up the work! :)

Wonderful work. :)

The only suggestions I have are to keep practicing and make sure drawing stays fun! :)

I agree you did well for a first attempt.. Now you do need to practice if you
wish to draw well.

Remember to draw for fun along with the practice. Try drawing other characters.
Look at how others draw your species of choice. It's a good way to gain ideas for
your own artwork. Also draw different poses. Sometimes people get stuck drawing
profiles or face on stiff drawings. These are easier, but you will learn more doing
other positions and action poses as well.

If you want to do realistic art, you will need to study anatomy for the species you
like along with that of humans if you wish to do anthro art well.

There are several toutorials online for furry art which can be helpful too.

Don't forget to post your work, we can help by pointing out things that you may
need to work on. Don't get discuraged, drawing like any craft takes time to learn.

Keep up the good work. :orbunny:

Thanks, unfortunately its finding the time to draw. Stuck between work and school. But that means it's dinner when I manage to!  :)

I understand.  Before I retired about the only time I had to draw was during breaks or
whenever I had a bit of spare time.

I suggest carrying a pocket sized notobook. Then you can make a quick sketch
whenever you have a few minutes to spare. :orbunny:

So I recently went ahead and decided to create an older sister for my fursona Phinox, so here she is. Once again feedback is welcome :)http://s1301.photobucket.com/user/phinox_76/media/Mobile%20Uploads/20150429_210129_zpsebqdha6g.jpg.html?sort=3&o=0

The link doesn't work. Maybe try right clicking and press 'cut' then paste it that usually works. :)

Yeah I don't think it turned out as well. I'm definitely going to improve on it sometime soon.
