Ty's Attempts at Art
« on: July 22, 2014, 10:19:48 pm »
Hello everyone! I don't draw often and I'm not all that good at it, but I've been trying to pick it up as a hobby and improve at it. Anyways this will most likely just be a collection of my attempts as I endeavor to get better.

As for my first attempt, I tried to draw my character from the tales from the forest RP. Without further delay here's Ryven:

Glad to see you got this up already  ;)
Do you use any reference images?  I find them to be unbelievably helpful when drawing things like this.

No direct images, but I did watch 2 youtube videos before starting my own attempt. I'll look into using a few reference images.

The last one is cute.  There is nothing wrong with using reference pictures. All professional
artists use reference drawings and from real life.

I usually do. :orbunny:

I agree with Old rabbit . References are really important , since they will help you to learn anatomy and see your mistakes. Even I use references . There is no doubt it is not a bad thing , it's not cheating . Your pictures are really cute and I wish you the best in your art journey ^w^ .

Had some free time in class today. The tablets at my school have a drawing program so... I decided to try and draw something real quick.
