Yes Kobuck, Trump must have his audience to feed his ego. Hopefully his support will fade, but a voice on
social media may keep him going.

The GOP used to be against Russia, but now they want to copy their political system.
One which is more like an autocracy. With basically total  control of the government and
the people with an autocratic president, and rigged elections.

The GOP members of congress are trying to copy Trump with their disrespect of people
who don't agree with them. Then when they are called out for this disrespect, they
pretend to be victims. Just like their hero Trump did as president.

The GOP is pointing to the Mexican boarder, claiming the large influx of immigrants is a
disaster created by president Biden. These claims by the GOP are mostly lies,
because the only difference is his returning to a humanitarian policy. Where Trump
force these people to stay on the Mexican side of the boarder, where they faced terrible
treatment by the criminal element there. The Biden administration is working to let
these people stay with relatives or volunteers  where possible until a decision can be
made to allow them to stay or not. At this time mostly kids are allowed to cross the
boarder, but once the mess Trump created can be undone, adults will be allowed to
cross the boarder and stay with relatives or supporters till a decision can be made for
them as well.

In the meantime the GOP is going to call this a disaster, trying to make the president
look bad. Because most of their voting base supported Trump's inhuman policies
toward immigrants. Mostly due to their ignorance, and we know the GOP isn't going to
try to help them see the truth.

Both the GOP and Trump want the public to believe the Democrats are against law and
order by de funding the police. This is a lie, the Democrats want to improve law enforcement
by requiring police to treat all citizens equally, and only use force when
it's unavoidable. Currently too many in law enforcement see all non whites as a danger
to their lives, and use deadly force even when it's not called for.

As president Trump called for using forceable tactics by the police. All this does is
make the police look threatening, especially to people of color. The police is supposed
to serve the public, not treat people like criminals on sight. It appears the police are
trained to be street fighters instead of protectors of the public. Yes police work can be
dangerous, but when the police puts it's own safety over that of the public. They turn
into hired guns.

People should have no reason to fear the  police. If they do the police can't properly
protect the public from real criminals.  A policemen should be our friends, someone
we can approach unafraid when we need help. The color of our skin or clothing should
not affect how we are treated. Police can be trained to recognize danger by the way
people act. In the past when police walked the streets instead of riding in police cars.
they made friends and  had the respect of the public. Being in a car they can't earn the
respect of young people or make friends.

Seems today it's survival training instead of training the police to work for the public
good. This isn't to  say all police treat people with disrespect. But when training is more
about survival than caring for the public,  it's no wonder we see so many police killings.

The GOP have no interest in passing immigration reform now or ever. Because if they
did, it would take away one of the main reasons people vote for the GOP. This is the
main reason Trump started his campaign as being against immigration, and to build a
wall along the boarder. Because he knew this would gain him a lot of support within
the republican party.

The party leadership have known for years that many people fear immigration, thinking it will make it harder to find jobs. When in reality most immigrants take jobs most
Americans don't want. The big danger in not solving immigration in this country is due
to the aging of the work force. Without steady immigration this country will shrink in size
and it's ability to maintain it's leadership in the world.  Increasing our dependence on
other nations for our survival.

Another  shooting for the GOP to ignore.  I  doubt if they  ever will care  how many
people die, as long as they continue to please the NRA. Yes the NRA, because the
majority of Americans want gun safety, and to make assault type firearms and large
magazines illegal to own.

The NRA is against any safety measures for firearms. They claim any change to limit
firearms will spell the end of legal gun ownership in this country. In reality, they are just
out to protect firearm manufactures, and the power it gives them.

While It is true laws won't prevent some shootings, but it can make it more difficult for people to go on a shooting spree due to rage, or due to mental problems. Many
deaths due to firearms is due the  lack of gun safety. Guns can be made safer, but the
NRA has stood against laws requiring manufactures to do so. Until people vote to
remove those standing against needed laws to help protect people from the improper
use of firearms, we will all be at risk.

I think the Grand Old Party has lost sight of democracy. The Georgia legislature lost it
when they made it illegal to hand people food or water while in line to vote. Not only that they voted to over ride local elections if they don't  like the results.
The GOP has claimed they can't win if they make it easier to vote. This is nonsense as
all they have to do is work for the public, and quit supporting the radical element in the
country. People who if they had their way would like to use the Bible as our constitution.

When asked a GOP congressman said they weren't keeping people from getting food and water, because there will be stations where people can get food and water. Of
course he didn't promise people wouldn't be sent to the back of the line when they step
out of line to get a drink or bite to eat.

The GOP must feel very insecure if they fear voters who are willing to stand in line for
hours can be easily convinced to vote for Democrats just to get a drink. I am sure people visit with each other while in line. We might ask if the GOP plans to put voters in
jail for asking the time of day?

The GOP must realize changing the laws to help them win elections is un  American.
This smacks of authoritarianism, and I feel Trump is at the bottom of this. And I do
mean BOTTOM. I wouldn't be surprised if when Trump talked to authoritarian leaders if he wasn't convince that authoritarian government is the best. Especially with him at
it's head.

Trump is still up to no good with his claims the invasion of the capital was a hug fest.
He knows if you say something often enough people will start to believe it. So he will
continue with his lies as long as people are ignorant enough to listen. I wouldn't be
surprised if he claims the videows showing the attack were created by the leftest
Democrats, though he probably has already.

Trump wants to run for president again, and if he loses, which he likely will, we can
expect the same claims of voter fraud from him. So the GOP is passing laws to make
it too expensive for many people of color to vote. Requiring voter ID which in my state
cost $10 and a trip to a license office to get. I imagine most people who vote for the GOP have the extra money, but for a person living on a
limited income, or handicapped may not be able to get a ID card made, and they sure
don't have the resources to go to court. The GOP know this will likely keep
thousands from voting. A  GOP state congressman made the claim that many people
shouldn't vote, because they are too ignorant. That is just a step away from requiring
people to be property owners to vote. Something I am sure the GOP would love to do
if they could get by with it.

The GOP doesn't want anyone who might vote for Democrats to vote. Since many
people of color and others who are in need of aid,do vote for Democrats, the GOP
works to either mislead them or pass laws that makes it harder for them to vote. The
one thing the GOP hates the most if taxes on themselves or their rich supporters. Now ,
no one likes higher taxes, but to ignore the needy will cost more in the long run. Not
counting needed repairs and improvements on our infrastructure. Left undone will cost
not only money, but lives.

When the GOP voted for their big tax cut, a cut that just happened to save Trump and
their rich big business supporters millions in taxes. They claimed it would add 5 or 6%
to the economy, but ended up only adding about 2% instead. Now that President Biden
wants to increase taxes on big business by about 7% the GOP is claiming it will
increase  costs to the public  and cause businesses to leave the country. This is very
misleading, because most foreign countries would have higher taxes than the 28%
the president wants to set taxes for corporations.

The GOP apparently isn't interested in the presidents infrastructure bill. A bill that will
likely create millions of good paying jobs for Americans. Even though millions of
Americans currently need jobs, and our infrastructure is in dire need of repairs.
In the past the GOP would favor infrastructure bills, but it seems now all they want

to do is block the Democrats, in spite of the nations needs.

As usual the GOP lie to both reduce taxes, and when the Democrats wish to
increase
taxes so corporations and the rich will be required to pay a fairer amount,
they lie again hoping to save themselves and their rich friends a lot of money.

Moscow Mitch, the GOP minority leader of the senate is claiming a tax increase  would
be bad for the economy.  Typically the GOP always claims tax increases are
bad, and decreases are good, even though economists not in the pocket of the GOP
tell a different story.  When asked about money for infrastructure the GOP claim the
public should pay, because they are the main users of the infrastructure. They want to
forget that without the infrastructure, big business could not make the large sums of
money they do.

Each time a large corporation  chooses a new location to do business at, they always
make sure the location has adequate infrastructure to handle the needed work.
This alone shows corporation should help pay to build and maintain the infrastructure
they need and use. No matter what the GOP claims.

The GOP fully understands economics, but their desire for money and power causes
them to ignore the needs of the people and the nation. So they lie and cheat to keep
the voting public in the dark. Then since Trump showed them his dirty tricks they
appear to be copying him after seeing how well he did with his  constant stream of lies.

I have a hunch the GOP is afraid if Biden gets this infrastructure bill he wants passed, it
will wreck any chance they might have to regain control of the senate or the house.
Much less the White House. So we can expect lots of dirty tricks by the GOP between
now and the 2022 election. They are already working to limit voting by supporters of the
Democrats, any way they can.

Across the nation, the GOP is working to pass well over 300 voting laws designed
to give them an advantaged during the next election.  They claim these changes are
only to make our elections more secure. If this was the case, why did they wait so
long to make these changes?  Especially if their claims are the truth. The GOP claimed
the changes made in Georgia are no different than in the state of  Colorado.  Turns out
this  is a lie, apparently told to mislead the public when a baseball
team moved to Colorado from Georgia due to the GOP's actions.

The GOP is claiming corporations should keep their  nose out of politics. Now isn't that
a laugh.  The GOP have been working for many years to please large corporations  just
to keep their political support. In fact Moscow Mitch went out of his way to create a
political   action  committee for the purpose of allowing big business to donate millions to
help  GOP members with their elections, so they would vote to pass laws that protect the
profits of those businesses.

Now the GOP is making threats that if big business doesn't support their new restrictive
voting laws, they will make them suffer. This puts big business in a box, because the public
is likely to boycott  big business if they don't punish the GOP.

It's sad how the GOP treats the LGBTQ  community. The GOP is always glad to take
advantage of the public's ignorance if it will gain them votes, even if it involves hate.
Not only do many supporters of the GOP hate the LGBTQ, they don't like many minorities,
like African Americans, Indians, Jews, and most people who act or
look different, and especially those who have non christian religions.

If the GOP really cared about the nation, they would work to  bring our people  together
instead of dividing our people just to hold on to power. It's time we let those who
hate create a party of their own, and stop their infection of the GOP, a party
who once cared for the nation, but has allowed it's self to be taken over with
people who care more about themselves than our country. Especially Evangelical
leaders who have used the christian religion to gain power over the GOP and our
nation for their own benefit.

Not all Evangelical leaders are guilty of abusing their control over their followers.
I  could go into detail, but I am not into religion enough to preach, except to say most
good religions teach love, not hate. It is sad to see religious leaders break this rule and
teach their followers to hate those who think differently.  This abuse of religion has been
used many times down through history to hold on to power, and unfortunately has caused
many wars.  Sadly it's all based on human greed, so it's likely to continue as   greed is the
nature of mankind.

The GOP continues to promote the politicization of Covid19. They are against  requiring
people to use masks, and other safety procedures to protect themselves and
those around them. They act like this is a terrible thing the Democrats want, as if it has
never been done before. The requiring of vaccination is nothing new. Scools have done
this for many years. Traveling to other countries almost always requires vaccinations.  Yet
the GOP is against any requirement to show proof of covid19 vaccination which would
assist the safe return to normal activity by the public at large.

It seems most states are doing little to provide covid19 protection to those in their
prisons. Especially those states run by the GOP. as if these people deserve to suffer
even more than they already do.

Most of this nonsense by the GOP was started by Trump. It seems the GOP, after
watching Trump get by with his lies and not following rules can do the same thing
themselves. All you have to do is listen to them talk. They  sound just like a clone of
Trump, wanting to blaime everyone else for their troubles, and pretend to be a victim  of
the bad old Democrats.

As usual the GOP comes out against any restrictions affecting firearms. While it is true
laws do little to stop gun violence, background checks properly done should find
mental issues, and prior criminal activity. People who have mental issues should
not be able to  buy or own firearms. Even if medication helps, there isn't any guarantee
that the person will stay on their medication or see their doctor regularly.  Also there
should be a waiting period for the legal purchase of firearms. Hopefully to prevent
people from running out to purchase a firearm due to rage. Limits due to criminal
action would depend on what it was and when.

It seems the GOP want to let anyone buy or own a firearm, no matter their
mental condition or much of anything else.  Soon after the law expired that
prevented the sale
of assault weapons, the GOP refused to renew the law. Allowing huge numbers of
these weapons of war to be sold to the public. Apparently to please the NRA,
and weapons  manufactures they and the GOP support.  Of course the GOP hope
to gain votes from people who want to own assault weapons. People who seem to feel
they need them if the government was to fall. I rather doubt most would neither  have
the training or the ability to survive long during a period of anarchy. Even with an assault
weapon, they would  likely do more harm than good.

Those who support the GOP best learn how to live with people of color, because by 2035 white
people will no longer control this nation. If they think they can start a civil war to change that
they best think again. Because people of color can use firearms as well as anyone else.

The GOP ought to be singing their praise for the Democrat
senator from Virginia who is blocking changes to the filibuster rule, He is
claiming  laws passed by the senate
must be bipartisan, and by the senate rules. I don't know what pile  of crap he
is working under, but the GOP has no interest  in working with the Democrats, and he
should know after serving for years in the senate.  All the GOP want is to solidify
their control over the government by packing the courts with judges that support GOP
 desires and policies.

I think the GOP knows their support  by white America will end in about 20 years.
So by packing the courts with young conservative judges, they can keep control well
beyond this cultural shift, since judges don't have to be elected or re-elected. I think
this is why the GOP always complain when Democrats put judges on courts, as it
makes it harder for the GOP to control the courts with every judgeship they lose.

It's time this senator starts working for the country, in stead of wanting to
make a name for himself.

There is a bill in the U S House  for police reform, but the GOP doesn't appear to support
it, especially in the U S senate. The so called law and order party (Namely the GOP)
should be first to support equal treatment by the law, especially by law enforcement.
But apparently infection by Trump has caused the GOP to forget their conservative
values.

It seems even now that Trump is no longer president, members of the GOP think they
must kiss his backside to keep their job. So if he doesn't want them to support a bill,
they usually don't. Unless the GOP tell Trump to mind his own business, he will likely
cause the GOP to fail as a national party. I am no longer a fan of the GOP, but this
country needs at least two strong parties to have a good government.  Because
single party control can lead to extremism.

If there isn't a change in how the police treat people of color in this country
we will likely see quite a lot of trouble. People of color only ask to be treated with
the same respect as anyone else. When they can't even walk down a sidewalk
without being stopped for just being there, it's time for a change. Seems either by
training or state of mind many police treat people of color like wild animals.

While it is true some people  of color are  bad, but this can be said about any race of
people. Seems a lot of people can't see past the color of a persons skin before they
decide what kind of person they are, or their intelligence for that matter. Many early
American settlers looked at all American Indians as being stupid or as killers. Just
because they had a bad experience with some. Even to some American Indians all
white people were bad. Just goes to show with
misunderstandings any race can fail to understand other races of
people, and their culture. It's unfortunate, but many people  look for
the bad in others before they are ready to see the good.

The GOP is crying foul over the Democrats idea of increasing the size of the supreme court. Claiming the Democrats are trying to pack the court. This hypocritical claim by the GOP would be laughable if it wasn't so sad. It has been the goal of the GOP for
many years to have a conservative majority on the high court. In 2015 the GOP controlled senate refused to consider a moderate judge for the court, with the claim it
was too close to the next election to do so. Then in 2020 they voted to replace a justice during a very election they had previously  claimed was wrong to do.

The GOP being in the minority fear any gain by the Democrats. So they  use every dirty trick  to offset the majority power of the Democrats in any way they can. Over the last
four years with their control of the senate, and the White House, they have done little else but put conservative judges on federal courts.  This is being done so those conservative Judges can effectively change laws to benefit the GOP. By using the
courts, the GOP avoids the need to control the U S legislature to support big business
and their rich friends.

President Biden has put sanctions on Russia due to their interference in our
political process, and for stealing government and business information via the
internet. Of course they deny all this,  but we have good evidence to prove it.

When Trump was president, it seemed Russia could do no wrong. At least according
to Trump. I kind of think Trump felt if he was nice Putin would be. This just shows how
ignorant Trump was when it came to diplomacy.
His own lawyer said Trump was too lazy to run a business, much less the  White House. The trouble with Trump is he enjoys having the title, but has no real interest
in doing the work. Oh he loves the crowds that cheer for him, and being in the spotlight,
but that is about all.

I think people  should serve at least one term in the U S House, and one in the senate
before they can run for  the office of president. I am sure the founders didn't expect a
man like Trump to run for  president, much less win, or they would have required a background in government   service to be eligible for the office. No neophyte like Trump has any business being the  president of the United States.

It's nice to have a president who won't let other countries run roughshod over us. Trump was all about cozying up to dictators, likely because he wanted to turn the US into a dictatorship as well and be president for life so he could sit easy and pretty being a figurehead while the GOP ran everything from the shadows. Thing is, Putin and other dictators aren't incompetent fools who just hold office while someone else runs everything. They're ruthless, cold hearted people who put on a smile for everyone.

But never forget the 48th Rule of Acquisition: The bigger the smile, the sharper the knife.

Trump was fooled by those smiling facing and their accolades, like a little kid who wants in big brother's club house and thinks they'll get in by doing everything the big kids tell him to do, Trump pretends he's a ruthless, masterful, skilled chess player but I don't think he could win a game of checkers.

"Trump should run the country" He doesn't seem like he could run a bath.
"Trump is the man to lead America." I doubt he could lead a parade.
"Trump is the only one who can save us." The man can't even save a dollar!

And yeah, I know that idiot isn't funny and his tenure as president was a nightmare that we're still dealing with but I have to make jokes. To quote Hawkeye from M*A*S*H -- "Joking about it is the only way of opening my mouth without screaming."

The GOP continues to blame president Biden for the high numbers  of immigrants
crossing our boarder with Mexico. Our country needs more immigrants, not fewer.
Thousands of jobs go wanting, especially agriculture related jobs. If left unfilled  crops are lost. This can cause food shortages and increases in costs for food.

If the GOP cared about anything but their political control of the government, they would
work with Democrats to improve immigration in our country. But no, they only
want to block his efforts to help restore our economy, and infrastructure, So far it seems
the GOP is running scared of the far right and Trump followers.  So unless they start
losing a lot of  elections  they won't change. They are changing election laws, but if large numbers of  voters come out again, many in the GOP could be out of a job.

Is the GOP trying to rig vote counts by hiring third parties to count ballots?  The GOP in the state of Arizona hired a third party to make a second recount with the hope of  showing Trump as the real state winner. This party is preventing all but one national
new service to cover their recount. Already there is some evidence that either by
accident or purpose ballots are being corrupted. Once corrupted they can be thrown
out. We can only wonder  which vote ends up being tossed.  If by some chance
this recount ends up going for Trump. I think we can guess who's votes were tossed.

So far Trump is leading the cheering crowd over this attempt to change the vote.
It's obvious he intends to continue his lie about voter fraud to the bitter end.

It makes no  legal difference if the vote is changed, I think this is the GOP sucking up
to the far right, and Trump. I understand this is more about raising money than
anything else. The GOP apparently hopes by trying to help the far right and Trump,
it will bring in tens of millions in donations and thousands more votes.

It appears the GOP has no morals when trying to hold power. They  will lie and do
whatever it takes to win. It seems they really do believe all is fair in love war
and politics. With the GOP I think you can add business to that list.

It always seemed strange to me, when upper class retiring white
collar workers  move south into areas where people don't make
much money. They start demanding more public services that cause taxes to increase
for everyone.  This due to most people making minimum wage or less causes
them to lose homes and family farms. Of course these upper class  retirees
have a lot more money to spend than most working people in these rural
areas, so they hardly notice the increase while many go homeless.  Of course most
of these retirees generally vote for the GOP because they consider the needy as
being lazy and not deserving of help.

Though  we do need a police force now days, in the past the police was more
about race control than anything else. There were reports where if a white man  caused  damage to the property of a black man, the police arrested the black man
instead.  This race control by the police started  with requiring all white men to consider
any black as an escaped slave, and to either report or capture them.
In the north police went after undesirable immigrants as well.

After the civil war many areas used criminal complaints to justify the capture and
enslavement of blacks. So it's likely many blacks were falsely accused and jailed.
This continued in the south till the middle of the 20th century, and even longer in some
areas.

This terrible history of police work in our past is likely the cause of  how people  of
color are treated by the police today.  When people train to be police officers they learn
under those who were trained by policemen of the past. So any bias or prejudice
they may have had would be passed along to the next generation of police.
This isn't to say all police are affected this way, but I am sure several are.

The foul treatment of people of color by the Police must stop, or the country is
in for a lot of trouble.

The GOP is still relying on the three pillars of the Republican party.

Lies. "There is no systemic racism in America". "Covid vaccine is the mark of the beast" "Voter fraud is wide spread and we need reform" "Only well informed people should vote."
Poverty "The infrastructure plan is a waist of time and will not help the unemployed"
Suffering. "Herd immunity" "This pandemic is fake" "We don't need a new insurance plan. What we have is and will always work".

It seems the U S economy will grow over 6% this year.  Yet the GOP apparently  could
care less. Now if Trump was still president I am sure they would be shouting it to  the
rooftops. We should remember when he was running for re-election he was claiming
if Biden won the stock market would crash. Something else the GOP isn't talking about
since the market is growing to greater heights than ever. All they want to claim is all this
spending by the Democrats will cause a  lot of inflation.

If the GOP really cared about peoples rights, and needs, there would be more women
and people of color in their party. As is it's mostly a party of greedy old
men in congress who think women and people of color should be their servants.

It seems the GOP use every means  to reduce  taxes for the rich and business every
chance they get. Even  to take money from the needy to do so. They don't want the government to tax their supporters.

Some people in the GOP believe if we tax the rich, and big business too much there \

will be fewer jobs. This might be true in a few cases, but if infrastructure is allowed      to fail, so will jobs. Because to build businesses that create jobs takes good  infrastructure. Also many large businesses use tax savings to give out big bonuses \
to their executives, instead of raises for their workers, as the GOP wish to claim  with
their trickle down economics.

Besides most jobs in this country are created by small businesses, not large
corporations that the stock market feeds.

The GOP depends on the public's ignorance to hold on to power while they
wheel and deal to gain  riches for their friends and themselves.  I am sure
many people that vote to elect the GOP think by doing so will help them gain
high paying jobs. Unfortunately this only works with the help of
a crooked business or congressman in most cases.

The only way to really be successful is through hard work and a fair amount of
good luck. Yes good luck, many people who have become wealthy have done so after
several tries, where through persistent they finally succeed.

President Biden want's to help women with  child care, as is many women can't afford
to put their  kids in child care and work too. So they have to apply for public aid. Seems
to me providing  money for child care  so women can work is the best way to go.
Yet the GOP just complains about the cost to government while doing nothing at all.

If voters put the GOP back in control of the senate or the house in 2022 we can
be sure nothing will be done. All they want is more conservative federal judges.

100 days, and president Biden has accomplished a lot. It's a shame the GOP is
working so hard against him. They seem to think by doing so will gain them votes in
2022 so they can retake control of congress and the senate. If they do we can be sure they will do nothing but complain about the presidents spending policies and little if
anything else.

all they have been doing is blocking  Ever since the GOP won the senate in 2014,
they have been working against the Democrats. No partisanship, and when Trump
won the presidency they spent nearly all their time installing federal judges the fedeerlist society wanted. Judges that would support corporations over the average
working -citizen.

The GOP continues to holler socialism when the Democrats attempt to
provide aid to the needy. But it's just fine when the GOP votes to give aid to the rich
and big business. So for them it's just fine to use socialism for the wealthy, but
for the poor and the needy it must be capitalism or nothing.

I think it's odd when people want to run when they hear the word  socialism, but they
are fine with their socialist support of the police, fire department and school for the kids.  True socialism is where the government owns all properties and  runs all businesses.
Of course the GOP wants the public to think the Democrats want a form of communism
that will steal all  of our rights.  When it's the GOP who is out to steal our rights to benefit the rich. Now it would be great if we all could be rich, but that would never work,
because  there will  always be a need for workers, and many who want to take
advantage of them.

If the GOP is allowed to take over, this country will become an autocracy run by the
super rich. Much like Russia is today. Prisons will be filled by people who have tried to
fight for human rights, and those of us who speak out against the leaders.  All will be required  to conform, or face danger from extremists. I am sure many will think this
could never  happen here, but remember January 6. Riots like this can happen with
little or no  warning, and under an autocracy there would be little protection for the public.

President Biden has been trying to support the LGBTQ  people , but the GOP controlled
states have been stepping on the rights of Transgender young people. Claiming  by
preventing them from joining girls in sports they are protecting biologically born girls.
I think this is just an excuse on the part of the GOP wanting to gain votes with
their claims of being against  Transgender people as they are with nearly all in the LGBTQ community.

The Democrats and the president are trying to support them over the hard line
wishes of the GOP for years. Sadly the voting base of the GOP seem to think their
religious believes should be put into law. Of course the GOP with their desire to
hold power want these people to think they will support their wishes. Both the GOP and
their voting base should remember our constitution doesn't allow religious groups to
run or control the country, even if they want to.

The number of babies being born in this country is at a all time low. Almost 5 million
below what it should be as of last year. This is more proof we need more immigration.
Otherwise  there won't be enough workers to keep the economy strong in years to come.  It seems Trump felt businesses could do as he does, importing workers as
needed, because he could save money that way. Personally I think businesses should
hire our own people instead.

Why the GOP want to follow Trump's advice seems strange to me. Seems to be
a foolish idea, if they want to grow as a party. Because the support of jobs for
Americans should be their priority. Unlike Trump who considers his bank account above
all else.

President Biden is going to be on the road for the next few weeks putting pressure on
politicians to pass his infrastructure bill. Even though there is big public support for it,
the GOP is claiming it's to costly. I think even if the president backed down, the GOP would come up  with another excuse because they don't want to give the Democrats a win that would   help them in the  mid term election.

The GOP across the nation is working to slow voting by Democrats, especially
those of color. Instead of trying to limit  voting they should be working to convince
more people to vote for the GOP. After all working to prevent voting is anti democratic,
and downright un-American.  Especially if they continue trying to copy old man Trump.
A man who has spent his life using money and lies to gain an unfair advantage over others. It's unfortunate, but some people seem to think someone like Trump
is being smart, and think his way, is how to get ahead, which is very sad.

This could end up destroying the GOP in the end, because when people realize
they are following crooks, they will turn away. President Reagan convinced a lot
of people that big government was bad for the country. Unfortunately due to the
support   by the GOP Reagan was able to  change the tax structure in a way that
benefited big business and the richest Americans. This plan where by cutting taxes
for the rich would be passed along to the middle class.  "Trickle down economics"
never did anything but help the rich get richer.

Since the government had less money, the GOP started to cut social programs
for the poor and disadvantaged. Because if they didn't, taxes would need to be raised.
Something the GOP could never stomach. Because the GOP has aught to reduce
government, as they think if government is allowed to grow it will become to big
for the economy to support, and this would destroy the country.

I think this was a fear felt more by the rich than anyone else. History has shown
big government can destroy countries, and it's the rich who stand to lose the
most if a country fails. History shows it's the rich who start wars, not the average citizen, as the rich have the most to lose.

It's greed that destroys societies and countries, more than anything else.
It's unfortunate, but many in the GOP are controlled by Greed, and until they
give more consideration for our people, and our  country , we shouldn't
vote for them.

It appears the GOP have lost sight of this country as a democracy. Unless of
course they win elections. Then they are fine with it.  Just like Trump, who likes the
constitution only when it suits his purpose.  Lately the is claiming the social media
online is breaking free speech. Even  though private enterprise isn't required to follow
that part of the constitution. Trump also complained when he found he couldn't sue
people or the news media for talking about him.  Trump loves control and hates it
when he doesn't have it.

Across  the nation GOP controlled states are passing  laws  that will make it more
difficult for blue collar workers and the disadvantaged to vote. Apparently  with the
hope it will reduce voting by people of color. Several years ago the GOP passed laws
so people could vote by mail. This was intended to increase  voting by republicans.
which it did. But when large numbers of people of color decided to vote by mail,
Mostly Democrats, the GOP lost their advantage.  When Trump found out he told the   GOP they should limit voting by  mail in hope it would return the GOP's
advantage. Trouble is, this could backfire by reducing the number of republican votes by those  accustomed to voting by mail.

The supporters of old man Trump may think he will protect their rights and keep the
government from telling them what they must do. Well I have news for them, because
as soon as Trump gains autocratic power he will forget about those who supported
him. They should pay attention to how he is treating the GOP. He is treating them like
a bunch of  puppets on a string. He  will do the same to his supporters once he gains
the power he wants. Trump plans to do the same thing Putin of Russia did to his
country. He will put his cronies in positions of power,  so he can do anything  he
wants, and those who try to oppose him will disappear or end up in prison.

People of color and the LGBTQ  could end up in forced labor camps. I am sure it
wouldn't be hard to convince a Trump controlled congress to support most anything
he would want, with the claim it's good for the country.

Likely with orders from Trump the GOP is pushing to teach school kids a false history
about the treatment of black people since the civil war. Likely with the hope to turn
more people against African Americans in the future. I am sure they are seen as
a threat to Trump's plans, after all it was people of color who cost Trump the
presidency. With another 4 years Trump with the help of the GOP could have gained a
third term in office, and possibly more under an autocracy.

I understand the GOP hopes to retake the house in 2022, then bring an impeachment
against president Biden, and try to use this to replace him with Trump, using the claim he was the true winner of the 2020 election.  Now this may not work, but even if
the GOP were to take the house, president Biden could do little of anything the GOP
under Trump's control didn't want.

Control of this country could end up in the evil hands of Trump and the GOP if they
win in 2022. This includes state elections as Trump seems to control the GOP across
the nation.  If they win more power in 2022, they could with control of the supreme
court, make it all but impossible to vote them out in 2024. I think we can be
sure the GOP will use the claim of fraud as Trump did for any close election they may
lose in the future. Just as they do in any autocracy.

Under Trump the GOP calls the government  under control by the Democrats the
deep state. This is just more of Trump's misinformation to lead his supporters down the
garden path to an autocracy run by him.

The GOP far right whites are running scared. They see their control over people of color coming  to an end in the not too distant future. They see Trump's popularity as a
way to hold on to power. So they are fully willing to follow his immoral acts and support
his lies as a way to regain control of the federal government and the country.

I think the GOP is fully willing to give Trump autocratic control while they hold on to power in the background. This is a dangerous game they are playing,  Because Trump
can be manipulated by Autocratic world leaders who pet his ego. Also he puts people
in power he trusts who in the past have proven in many cases they work to benefit
themselves instead of the government.  it's his ignorant acts that prove he has no
business being the leader of anything, much less the United States. Besides his mental
stability is questionable. Many Doctors have said he should be tested iindependantely, in spite of his claims that he has passed mental test with flying colors.

Trump holds on to his control of the GOP with threats to unseat any member of the
GOP with his support in the primaries for new legislator unless they support him
without  question. Trump wants their support now, as he doesn't care if they supported
him in the past.  So he can have GOP members chasing their tails trying to keep up
with his every whim.

It will be interesting to see if Trump tries to jump out ahead of the large number
of GOP members who plan to run for president in 2024. I am sure Trump would
assume all he would need to do is run to get the nomination. No matter who else
decided to run against him, much less care.

I"m going to be a wet blanket. After reading all the 'voter restriction' laws I've come to this conclusion.

Ballet drop boxes. Ballet drop boxes are for those who, for one reason or another, decide to drop off ballets instead of mailing them. If you get a mail in ballet fill it out and sent it back.  Don't wait till the last minute.

Partisan voting station watchers. So this means there's going to be one rep from every party standing around at a voting station? Or are we going to watch a bunch of four year olds wining because they didn't have one of their parting members at 'these locations' and that's why they lost. And who's going to represent the 'write in' voters?

Shortening voting times. There are a lot of laws that makes it easy for anyone to vote. And as long as your in line before the time is up your still able to vote.

So handouts of food or water to a person in a voting line. OK folks. This is a no brainer. You are not to be approached by anyone for any reason wile standing in a voting line. That's already a law. This is like saying "The speed limit is 20 MPH. Any vehicle traveling at a higher speed is breaking the law." Then passing a law saying " Any vehicle traveling and exceeding the limit between two posted MPH signs is breaking the law." Redundancy is stupidity.

One one side you have a party using lies to pass laws that do absolutely nothing. On the other side you have a party screaming voter suppression. Who's in the wrong? The party using lies to then lie to people about making voting more secure. This isn't voter restrictions. It lying. It's what republicans do. It's the only tool they have.

The GOP may only be giving the appearance they are making voting more secure-with
the hope they can convince the voting public the Democrats are cheating. But it's still
meant to confuse voters. Especially older or less educated people. Also this gives the
appearance to their voting base they are trying to protect voting integrity, while  the
Democrats aren't.

Above all voting should be encouraged  by politicians, not discouraged. The GOP
seem to think the only way they can win is using dirty tricks instead of working to
convinbcepeople their way is best for the country.  Yes dirty tricks seem to be the
hallmark  of politics, but patriots should put their country first.

It seems some politicians think they themselves and their party are good for the
country, and only them. Good government requires more than one way of thinking
Otherwise extremest ideas can be put into law. Which can lead to  civil war.

I have always felt voting should be treated the same as serving on a jury. Oddly
enough courts choose people for jury duty from voter registration lists. So some people
may not vote with the hope they won't have to serve on a jury.

Unlike many countries  the U S doesn't require people to vote. While it is true some
people really shouldn't vote due to not taking the time to understand who or what
they should vote for. But perhaps if they were required to vote they might be more
interested.

I am reasonably sure the GOP would oppose required voting since their party  is
in the minority of the population. They don't seem to be interested in convincing people
to vote based on policies. Instead they would rather use emotional reasons to get
people out to vote for their candidates. Seems emotion is the only way to get some
people out to vote. Patriotism and voting seems to be lost to a lot of people.  It seems
Trump is trying to use patriotism, emotion, and policies all, to get enough votes.
He may not be a good leader, but he  knows how a lot of people think. This is what
makes him a good salesman. It's a shame the man only cares about himself.
Otherwise he could have been a fairly good president.

The Democrats are still doing what they can to reunite immigrant families that Trump
separated while in office. Even so reminisce of those hired by Trump are still causing
trouble for the new administration.  Many of which are under contract, so it's
hard to remove  them.

The CDC has recommended that those fully vaccinated don't need to wear masks, but
people still need to follow local rules about masking and should use reasonable
care around others. Also the washing of hands should be continued.

Again the GOP shows how tight they are with Trump. By voting to get rid of a far right
woman member of the GOP from a leadership position because Trump told them to.
Then they replace her with a moderate woman that Trump wanted. I really don't think
Trump cared that she was a moderate,  he just liked her verbal support of him and
his followers.  I have a hunch by making this move, they created  a martyr, and a very
powerful one at that. A mistake a man like Trump would make.

It appears the GOP will do anything Trump wants, even if it's stupid. Now they are
claiming the presidents unemployment support is encouraging people to turn  down
jobs. So GOP states are passing laws to require people to look for work. Now isn't that
interesting. Seems this requirement is already required of people to get unemployment
in the first place. So either GOP legislators can't read, or they are trying to fool their
voter base.  Of course people who haven't ever applied for unemployment could be
fooled by this. Seems the news media fails to educate the public when politicians
try to fool the public. Especially the far right media.  Unfortunately even media that
supports the left doesn't always properly inform the public.

It's kind of a shame the GOP got more support than Trump did in the 2020 election.
We can only wonder if their total support of Trump will help or hurt them in 2022.
Trump has a poor record of helping GOP members get elected. Seems he can con
people into supporting him a lot easier than convincing them to support others.

Trump and the GOP are trying to white wash the January riot in the U S capital.
I am sure many people want to think Trump's loss in 2020 was a lie by the Democrats.
but the GOP's belief they can use this lie to retake congress may not work, and
could end up losing even more seats to the Democrats.

We can be sure Trump will be starting his parade of rally's soon, but will his support
baste on a stream of lies by him, help or hurt the GOP?  It's hard to say, but
most people that follow Trump's rally's are caught up in his autocratic cult. A cult
Trump created to make him a autocratic leader. An autocracy gives the leader power
over the government that is nearly unlimited. Once Trump has this power, his supporters will find out what it's really like to have the government control their
lives. There will be nothing to stop him from putting people in prison the same way he
gave crooks he liked pardons. He wanted this power as president, but our constitution  did not give the president the power to jail people arbitrarily. This power belongs to our  system of courts, and even they can't put people in jail without due process.

I fear by the time his supporters realize how deep the rabbit  hole Trump is creating is,
it will be too late to stop his take over. Then our lives will belong to the super rich.
Just as it does in most autocracies around the world.

As you stated Old Rabbit, people are starting to notice. The unemployment bills are nothing more than smoke. Most of the out of work people during this pandemic have filed for unemployment bens. So these republican supporters got the rules and regs for getting unemployment bens already. This total act of stupidity is actually turning more heads and getting more people to realize just how out of touch the republican party is with reality.

And to show just how far the republican party will go. Here in Missouri we voted FOR medicare expansions. Our republican party has just nixed that. They decided they have the authority to tell voters NO, we don't want this so your not getting it. They don't have the right to do this. Still more people are finding out just how UnAmerican the republican party is.

Yes the GOP are showing their true colors when they turn against voters to get their way.

It appears  Trump and the GOP plan to use every republican fear and hate to gain
votes for party members in 2022. You can already see GOP controlled states working to pass laws that adversely  effect  theLGBTQ community, and to remove mandates for
protective masks to please voters.  It's sad how the GOP puts their
political needs above the public health.

They know many Evangelicals are taught by radical ministers that their followers
shouldn't vote to support Democrats because they support people who live in sin.
Those radical ministers should remember the christian religion is about love, not hate.
The one big thing I find wrong with  organized religion is many  of their leaders want\
to use  religion  for  personal power or gain. So they often mislead  people  to gain
their favor.

Some Democrats think the president should publicly demand a cease fire by the
Israelis. Of course the GOP is trying to blame the president too.   I think the presidents Idea to stop the conflict diplomatically is best. Isn't  it
interesting the GOP is wanting to stop a congressional investigation of the January 6 riot at the capital. Could it be they are trying to hide something?
Or  is it Trump wanting the GOP to  stop it?  I think Trump has more to  worry about than his involvement in that riot.

It's sad how the GOP lets Trump lead them by the nose.
The worse part is that Trump didn't start the radicalization
of the GOP. I think Moscow Mitch had a lot
to do with it when Obama
was elected and encouraged the start of
the tea party. I don't
expect the GOP to ever be overly moderate
But to compromise is the name of the game.
