First MSMBC has the same love of propaganda as fox news network. Not to be trusted. Secondly it would be ridiculous for trump to tell people to not be racist. Seeing the cabinet of hard lined racist he's building. Fueling a divide in this country would only serve his push for trickle down economics. Not going to speculate here. Just going by what he's said and how he's rhetoric has played out through this election. Then adding who he's surrounding himself with.
No matter who our psychotic pathological lier is he doesn't have the power he he wants. No matter who he surrounds himself with.
Anyone have some links to what these Russian connections actually are?
If Trump doesn't want to believe the CIA, who is he going to believe? His rich friends?
Dem
They plan to stand against cuts to social security, medicare, ACA, VA, and
medicade. Also against any right leaning pick for a supreme court judge.
The democrats already have rallies planned in several states to inform
the public about what Trump and the GOP plan to do. No doubt the
GOP and Trump will counter, but they won't have Obama to blaime this
time.
Grass roots groups are showing up across the country. A large
number of anti Trump people plan to show up in Washington DC on the 21st
of January. I will try to pass along any links to sites
with more information on this, and other demonstrations.
These groups are planning to let Trump and the GOP know how they feel about
their plans to undo social gains since the 1950's. There is a chance the GOP
will get some of the same medicine the Tea Party gave the democrats a few
years back. Trump may find out the swamp his supporters wanted him to drain
includes many of his friends. I kind of feel the only people he wanted to get rid
of was those who didn't support or agree with him.
Trump said on Day One of his Presidency that he was going to make IMMEDIATE changes to how things are run. Well, here's 3 of them for starters. :o

@oldrabbit from what iv heard he stepped down as CEO and place someone else in charge of his companies so he is no longer working at them, but still majority stock holder i guess. not completely sure about this but hopefully he does realize how expensive it is, and limit his visits anywhere.
These pipelines risk polluting the aquifers that supports
much of the central food growth for the country. If it is
polluted we will have to depend on rain alone to grow
crops in the plains states. It happens that Trump owns
stock in the canadian oil companies. With the earthquakes
in Oklahoma will the pipelines stand up to them?
Trump signed an excectave order to not let federal funds
support abortion or any help for it anywheree in the world.
This is supported by the GOP and any GOP president would have
done the same. I know many people hate abortion and some will
even kill to stop it, but this order will cause more abortions. Since
Obama allowed education for women about abortions the number
of abortions have decreased over the years. This short sighted
idea to defund planned parenthood will cause a lot of suffering
for women and will cause more unwanted pregnancies.
Trumps idea to get rid of the trade agreement with east asia he
promised to do is causing farmers in the midwest to loose a lot
of money because they won't be able to sell their grainn to
the far east. Saving jobs in one part of the country can often
kill jobs or business in another part of the country. I think
president Trump will find out fixing one problem can cause
another. It's not like running a business that usually only
effects local areas.
I don't favor doing abortions just because it's inconvenient for the mother
to have the child. But some people who don't want any support for
abortions don't care if the mother will die, or if it was a child who was
raped, or due to any rape. Including incest. One ignorant man running
for the US Senate as a Republican said."The womans body will abort a
pregnancy on it's own if it was rape." He wasn't elected fortuantly, but I
am sure the GOP wished he had been.
They don't want birth control, or education on how to prevent pregncies. They
say once sperm hits egg it's done, and nothing should stop it. Being a man I
can't understand what a woman deals with when she is pregnant, but from
what i have heard having a abortion is very difficult thing for a woman
emotionally. Then when politiicans think they have a right to interfere I am
sure it makes it even worse. Most of them are MEN who haven't the slightest
idea of what it's like to be pregnant.
Women should have reasonable control of their bodies, and the government
shouldn't order them to give up the right. No more than a homosexual should
be told who they can love or marry.
I know many people do understand there is a need for abortions, but the
radicals who don't create a lot of problems for women who need reproductive
health care. This business of not funding Planned Parenthuood is a snowjob.
Their purpose isn't for abortions, but for womens health..They usually try
to counsel the woman into having the child. For the most part the GOP
uses this issue to get votes at womens expense.
Trump
The president continues to harp on voting fraud, and how illegal voters
gave Clinton such a lead in the popular vote. Now he plans to have it
investigated. To what end, who can say.
^ I don't see this as being an issue. It's only an issue because crybaby Trump is having a temper tantrum because he lost the popular vote which seems to have hurt his pride. Oh boo hoo. :P Cry me a river.
Is this how the voter fraud issue got started?

He signed a order to go after illeagle aliens in our cities. The cities have
protected them unless they were shown to be danger to the public. They
will not help goverenment agents to find aliens. The reason? because they
want their residents to feel secure when calling the police to report a crime. Otherwise they likely would not.
Trump is starting the process for the Trump wall. Or perhaps Trumps folly
before it's done. I was wondering to my self, will Mexico let us stand on
their side of the boarder to work on their side of the wall? Or will we have
to build it set back on us far enough to have room to build it. A interesting
thought at least. What if the river that seperates our country from Mexico
moves. Then the wall could be in the wrong place. I wonder if it will be built
in the middle of the Rio Grand river. Also if I am not mistaken the boarder runs through a large body of water near the southern tip of Texas. Are they going
to buid a wall through it down to the lake bed?
^ Mexico's President has canceled a meeting with Donald Trump. He has also repeatedly said that Mexico will NOT pay for the wall. Guess this is one campaign promise DT may not be able to keep. Score: Mexico - 1, Trump - 0. :D

Trump is saying we should take Iraq's oil. Perhaps to pay us for helping
them. I don't think we were invited in the first place. This will cause bad
feelings between us and the middle eastern oil countries at the very
least. Trump really shouldn't make policy like this publicly untill he
finds out how the leaders of these countires feel. His words alone could
cause misunderstandings that may lead to problems.
^ Trump doesn't care about other people's feelings. :P It's bad enough we were in 2 Iraq wars, now Trump may be signaling about a possible 3rd? :o If we go back in again, it's just going to inflame more anger and tensions with Middle Eastern people's and create more radical extremeism against us.

GOP
The GOP has turned the Voice of America radio into a partisan state
radio station run at the pleasure of the president. To brocast inside the
USA as Trump pleases. He has already appointed people to run the station.
This is no different than state radio under adictatorship. Trump can brodcast
his opinons, and lies about anything he feels is good ro him or the country.
This station used to be to be broadcast abroad to keep people in other
countries informed of news and intertainment. Also to tell other countries
about our policies. Untill last november it was alwasy ran by non parisan
group of people knolegable about broadcating in general. The GOP changed
it so the president can appoint anyone to run it. I don't think it was an
accident they made this change after Trump was elected..
^ Source for this?
It seems our politicians will stop at nothing to get what they want politically.
If we let them decide without opposition who knows how far they will go.

Trump tweeted that he found his Tower was wire tapped, but has shown
no evidence of it. Now if its true there could be something illegal going
on with someone in his campaign or a court wouldn't approved it. If it's
not true then he is proving how unqualified he is to be president. A
president must tell the truth to be strong, otherwise he has no credibilty.
Trump needs to get rid of everyone who is against him. So he fires those who are investigating his ties with Russia. Because every mobster knows. If you get rid of the witness it's like you never done anything wrong. Trump has also trademarked his name on a few more businesses in Russia. Again breaking a constitutional law.
Less than 130 days till impeachment.

I like to imagine Trump cowed down to Putin. He's used to running businesses and corporations and thinks he can run the US like it's a business, not realizing that the stakes are much much higher. If a national leader wants something done strong enough they send in the army
If Putin does another invasion like he did in the Ukraine I doubt very much Trump will step up and stop him.
Maybe it's cause they're working together or maybe it's cause Trump has no idea at all what to do when someone actually puts a loaded gun to his head and shouts demands.
The annoying orange thinks he can run the US like a business. He has no idea how real, genuine politics works. He's a businessman, he's not a politician, And I'll go even further to say he's a bad businessman who has tanked a number of things he's tried doing. Remember Trump University? Trump Airlines? Trump Steaks? How about Trump Vodka which he made to compete against Grey Goose Vodka but failed miserably because nobody wanted to drink it.
And those are just a few examples.
Now it's time for the country as a whole to bear the mark of failure as all those projects of his...
So I'll begin by stating that I have full faith and support for America's great intelligence agencies. Always have.
^ What support? I sure as hell ain't seeing it from Trump. >:(
And I have felt very strongly that, while Russia's actions had no impact at all on the outcome of the election, let me be totally clear in saying that -- and I've said this many times -- I accept our intelligence community's conclusion that Russia's meddling in the 2016 election took place. Could be other people also; there's a lot of people out there.
Trump continues to claim
he has been very tough on Russia. More than any other president. This is
ridiculous, could it be Trump really believes it? If so we are in the hands
of a man who is loosing his mind.
Those in Russia look at Trump like he is a fool since the meeting with Putin..
Back turning Trumps campaign Putin remarked that Trump acts like a clown.
Trump at the time tried to say Putin was praising him.
President Trump says the government is ready for hurricane Florence. Well for the sake of
the people in the storms path I hope it's better than it was for Puerto Rico last year, who
saw 3000 deaths due to what Trump calls a success.
At the beginning of this years hurricane season Trump had 10 million dollars moved from
Fima to ICE. Seems Trump is more worried about ICE having enough money to put kids of
immigrants in cages than to help Americans recover from storm damage.
Directed Energy weapon... this is public knowledge...so the Russians know already. Yes this is real ;)

Where as we have the real deal.

And as for that particle weapon, well.... since it was invented in the , what, early 1940's, and we have had a lot of work on that topic since then, i bet its real now.
Russia is claiming they have developed a hyper sonic missile that can't be
intersepted. Well this may or not be true, but as with most weopons it's
invulnerability is fleeting. The faster an object travels the harder it is to
change it's course. Satellites traveling at mock 25 can be shot down. So
it's likely only a tracking problem to stop them. Work is being done to
create particle beam weapons, Tesla claimed
it could be done so time will tell. ...
"If we had confidence after a thorough investigation of the facts that the President clearly did not commit obstruction of justice, we would so state. Based on the facts and the applicable legal standards, however, we are unable to reach that judgment. The evidence we obtained about the President's actions and intent presents difficult issues that prevent us from conclusively determining that no criminal conduct occurred. Accordingly, while this report does not conclude that the President committed a crime, it also does not exonerate him."
"With respect to whether the President can be found to have obstructed justice by exercising his powers under Article II of the Constitution, we concluded that Congress has the authority to prohibit a President's corrupt use of his authority in order to protect the integrity of the administration of justice."
"Although the investigation established that the Russian government perceived it would benefit from a Trump presidency and worked to secure that outcome, and that the (Trump) campaign expected it would benefit electorally from information stolen and released through Russian efforts, the investigation did not establish that members of the Trump campaign conspired or coordinated with the Russian government in the election interference activities," the report said.
"The Russian contacts consisted of business connections, offers of assistance to the campaign, invitations for candidate Trump and Putin to meet in person, invitations for campaign officials and representatives of the Russian government to meet, and policy positions seeking improved US-Russian relations," Mueller wrote in the report.

We should be working to help make the countries these people
come from more desirable. If the Latin American countries had
good jobs, and law enforcement, these people would never leave

general don't want to leave home in the first place. But if there isn't
any future or threat of starvation and death, they will risk everything
trying to find a better life for their children.
...
How long will the GOP stand by and let President Trump break
the law? Perhaps as Senator Sanders says, it will take a
revolution of voters to send the grand old party a notice that
they must change or end up in the dust bin of history.
The problem is many Americans want to sit back and let the
world go by. To wait till their ox is gored to come out of the
shadows and vote. We can hope that that Trump, the worst
president in history will bring them out to get rid of him, and
if there is any justice left, send him to prison for the rest of
his life.
Trump urges governors to secure additional medical equipment on their own
From CNN's Kaitlan Collins
President Trump urged governors on a call today to try to secure additional medical equipment on their own without waiting for the federal government to intervene, though he did say they would try to help.
"We will be backing you, but try getting it yourselves," Trump said on the call, according to a person familiar.
He was discussing what health experts say is a serious need for more respirators and ventilators to deal with the influx of coronavirus patients.
On the middle east:
82 Days to go, and Trump is claiming he has brought about peace in the middle east. This is
very premature, because in reality little has changed until nations in the region follow along.
It's doubtful, because Israel would have to agree to a 2 state agreement with the Palestinians,
and thta would mean giving up lands they claim as their own. Doing so would mean the removal
of Jewish settlements, and that isn't likely.
This appears to be Trump wanting the American public to believe he has accomplished peace
where no other president has in the past quarter century. I am sure his supporters will point
and clame this shows how great Trump is. He knows even if this falls apart, the election will
havepast. Then it won't matter to him.
Trump plainly stated he is refusing to fund the post office to prevent mail inn voting. So
what is his excuse when his lack of funding prevents people from receiving social security
checks and medicine they get by mail? He apparently doesn't care about all the people and
businesses who depend on the post office for their livelihood. All he and the GOP care about
is preventing people from voting for the Democrats. Because to allow this might cost them their
election.
Trump is still pushing for schools to return to full attendance. Even though several of those who
have tried, are having to close due to infections. He doesn't care how this will spread the virus, he
only wants the kids in school so the parents can return to work. He doesn't seem to realize. that
many of those parents don't have a job to return to, and depend on food bans to feed their family.
Being a billionaire, he has never known a day without something to eat, or a roof over his head. To
him, anyone who is poor and hungry is nothing but a loser, and can die for all he cares. Trump is the
perfect Scrooge, it's a shame he isn't being haunted by ghosts.
Trump continues his attacks on Harris, apparently forgetting that Biden is his opponent. Well Trump
hates women who speak out against him, so it's likely his ego will make it hard for him to stop. He
spent a week running a woman down in 2016 when he was running for president, and that was because
he didn't like the fact she won a beauty contest. He might think he can bully Harris into backing down,
but I have a good hunch if anyone backs down it will be Trump.
People who are saving money due to Trump's payroll tax delay, best be
saving it, because if Trump loses you will have to give it back to the IRS
early next year. I imagine Trump came up with this hoping it would give
him votes from people who want to keep the money. Even if he is elected
there is no guarantee they can, because only congress can cut taxes.

I'm equally concerned by who the Democratic candidate is. Mr. Joseph Robinette Biden Jr. is almost as old as my father--the difference being at most two months. From what I understand, Mr. Biden may be suffering the beginnings of dementia, though that perception of mine may be due to carefully selected clips (much like the perceptions of anyone who watches the news these days).Very true. Also I would like to mention that the Portland Courthouse belongs to the US Government, Not the Pprtland Municipality. When the mayor of Portland doesn't do anything to protect both the courthouse, and more importantly, his own residents, Then Trump has every right to send in federal officers. Also, it's important to mention that those who vandalise Federal property and, or/ incite violence are not protected by the constitution.
Who here knows who Ronna McDaniel is? More of you may know who Tom Perez is. They are the chairpeople of the Republican and Democratic Parties, respectively; neither Trump nor Biden exactly control their own parties.
And Hans has brought up a good point, also I'd like to point out that the violence has been taking place in Democrat-run cities.
So how exactly are the riots Trump's fault? What you said is not relevent to the mass destruction that the LEFT is inflicting on the country.
If Trump obeyed the law himself, and didn't try to hide his health records, along with many
other things congress has a right to see I might look at him differently. But after over 20,000
misleading lies. racist history, and lack of concern for immigrants, minorities, and I still can't accept
his lack of leadership for covid19 that has likely caused over 100,000 deaths. He has no business
being the leader of anything, much less a country.
This doesn't even include his narcissistic disire to be a monarch. So in my opinion Biden
is better than Trump, if for nothing else than his empathy for humanity. Something Trump
is unable to feel. Trump is a mental midget compared to Biden or Harris.
and if people put this poor excuse for a human being back in the White
house, heaven help us all. Especially minorities, and the handicapped.
I think the only reason the GOP leadership stands with Trump is because he is their
best chance to hold the white house. So they can pack the judicial system with conservative
judges who work mainly for the super rich.
62 Days to go, and Trump apparently feels his only chance is to make the Democrats look like
idiots, who are under the control of the far left. I kind of doubt if he gets very far with this, as
most people who might believe this are already supporting him. Playing to his supporters is all
he apparently wants to do. He has started his rally's again. Only time will tell if covid19 comes
along to share the fun. Hopefully if it does, not to many people die because of Trump and his
desire to speak before a crowd.
We have to ask ourselves, why does Trump want to hide his health records? Why did he make
a quick trip to the hospital a year or so ago? Why was the Vice president required to make an
emergency return to the white house with no excuses given. Trump has had trouble speaking at
odd times, and even some physical difficulties.
Instead of giving a full report of his health to the public he has a white house doctor brag about
how amazing his health is. Then turns around and wants people to believe is opponents health
is suspect, with mental issues.
With Trump it's always someone else at fault. He is always perfect. He hides the fact he paid
someone to take his college entrance exam, and had his sister do his homework. I find it sad
that so many people still want this person to lead the country. I suppose it's largely due to
the far right media who support him constantly, and were fooled with his TV show the
apprentice where he played the part of being a super smart business man. Even though this was only
a fantasy, apparently many people still believed it was true.
Trump's not the first person to fool people with con jobs and won't be the last. As they say
a fool is born every minute, and apparently is mostly true.
People need to remember if you see someone online trying to make Biden and Harris
look bad, they are likely supporters of Trump and spreading lies. Russia is working
hard all across social media with conspiracy theories about Biden and Harris. They
want Trump because he is like a puppet on a string for them, and they know Biden
is no puppet.

So how exactly are the riots Trump's fault? What you said is not relevent to the mass destruction that the LEFT is inflicting on the country.
How do you know it's all the left's fault? Did you interview people? Did you take a poll? Do you have ESP or a crystal ball? How do you know? I think you're making a blanket statement there which isn't right. Just because a bunch of people protest, loot, burn things, etc., etc., etc. DOES NOT in any way, shape, or form mean they are all on the left. There can be just as many moderate or right leaning people that probably don't like Trump, police brutality, etc. and are protesting just as much as anybody on the left or middle has.
What I'm saying is this: Don't blame the entire political left for the protests and destruction that is going on. And don't stereotype all the protesters as being on the left only. People come in all walks of life and come from the ENTIRE political spectrum. Left, Moderate, and Right.
I don't like Trump.
I don't like his policies/actions.
I don't like excessive police brutality.
And I don't like the extreme far right.
After saying all that, does that make me a person on the Left? Not necessarily so. You don't know where my political allegiances lie. You don't know who I voted for in 2016 or even who I'll vote for in 2020. You don't know where I stand on various economic, political, social, etc. issues. For all you know, I could be someone in the middle (Moderate) of the political spectrum or I could be on the right. Or..........maybe I am on the left? You really don't know.
I really am getting tired of people being labeled as either Left or Right. Conservative or Liberal. Democrat or Republican in this country.
Your average ordinary citizen (Librarian, Taxi driver, Dentist, Construction worker, etc.) is none of those things.
The only people who deserve those political "titles" are the politicians themselves. Not the ordinary citizens.
The only "titles" that should be used to describe a person are: Individual, Citizen, Person, and most importantly........Human Being.
Could you please provide examples of Trump supporting the far right?
The reason I personally blame Trump for the destruction of property in the cities, is his blanket
support of the far right. He shouldn't support either extreme, he should support proper law
enforcement, which is want the demonstrators are wanting. Trumps support of the far right
encourages extremist to come out, no matter which side they are on. He does because he
see's his support of them as his best chance for reelection, and he is for anything that
will help him win, no matter who it hurts. Trump took an oath to support the nations laws
and the constitution, but has failed to do so from the beginning. Sadly the GOP has failed to
hold him accountable, fearing his supporters would kick them out of office.
61 Days left, and Trump wants to hide Russia's effort to convince the American public
Joe Biden is mentally unable to be president. Apparently even the Russian's find Biden
such a strong candidate they must attack his intelligence, and that of the people.
As many assumed, Trump is pushing to make a vaccine available by November 1.
Never in our history has a president had the gall to force the CDC or the FDA
to approve a vaccine for political reasons. Trump doesn't care if the vaccine works,
or harms people. He just wants the few percentage points he feels he will get from
the early release of a covid19 vaccine. Because he knows once he wins, he will have
another 4 years in office, even if the vaccine kills more than it saves.
Trump apparently told supporters if they want to make sure their mail in vote counted,
was to try to vote again in person. Trump best hope his voters don't try this. Not only
will it kill their vote, they will end up in jail. So even if Trump tried to pardon them all, he
would lose their vote.
Trump claims he cares about the military, but when Russia puts a bounty on our
soldiers, he looks the other way.
Trump puts tariffs on China, hoping it will show he is putting pressure on China. The
trouble is, China says okay, and starts buying soybeans somewhere else, and many
American farmers with the loss of sales, go bankrupt.
Not all farmers though, Trump makes sure the large corporate farms receive
millions in tax dollars to make up for losses caused by his tariffs.
These tariffs in reality are illegal, but Trump with the help of the GOP puts them in
effect. Even though they hurt many small businesses, driving their foreign customers
to manufactures in other countries. Some American businesses even have to
move out of the country to survive.
When Trump first took office, he sent a special forces troop on a rescue mission.
The problem is, he didn't discuss this with mission experts, apparently wanting to
look good to his voters, and due to this a soldier lost his life, and a 75 million dollar
aircraft was lost as well. After all this the mission ended up as a total failure.
Trump called covid19 a liberal hoax to begin with, then told state governors. the
virus was their responsibility. Trump and his rich friends apparently then decided
they could make a lot of money providing personal protection items for the people.
I think this because Trump, instead of invoking a law that would require manufactures
to start producing these items, he allow big business to do it them selves. This of course
allowed them to make a big profit, by charging several times as much for the items than
their normal prices would be. Even to have bidding wars that drove prices even higher.
Trump or his rich friends have no shame when it comes to money.
Schools continue trying to open, but in many cases they have to return to virtual learning
due to infections from covid19. Trump is still wanting less testing, hoping this will hold the
numbers down. The bad thing is, less testing just allows the virus to spread more and more.
Trump and the GOP are encouraging doctors to not list covid19 as the cause of
death on death certificates. This to reduce the real number of deaths caused by
the virus. They want the people to think the virus isn't as dangerous as it really is.
Just more evidence of how far Trump and the GOP will go to hold power.
Anyone who is interested in a fair election should volunteer to be a poll worker. Just go to
your states website or google for state info about being a poll worker. No matter what your
party affiliation is,
The number of infections in the U S is over 6,100,000 and deaths are over 185,000.
World wide the number of infections is over 25,800,000 and over 860,000 deaths.
This takes you to an article on GOP work in the Senate
showing how they are blocking legislation in the senate. Too much to list here..

You can find out more at the following links. I don't have a
direct link to the Mueller Report, but You really should read
it, because Trump is still calling it a hoax which it is not, and
he and the Russians don't want you to read it. One of these
sites below should have a link to it, and the
whistle blowers reports too.

You don't have to be left or right to disagree with Trump. He has done objectively bad things. He has done things that are undeniably wrong.
The republican party has become so afraid of being accused of flip-flopping or being indecisive that they can't even bring themselves to admit they put an incompetent no-brain in the office of the president. They seem terrified of changing their minds or admitting they were wrong because if you admit you're wrong then oh no everything you've done can be called into question.
Not to mention a lot of people with extreme views think that the office of the president is sacred and holy and we are never allowed to ever question what the president says. You know that if Obama had pulled the same stuff Trump has the GOP would be slanderizing him hourly.
Look, forget sides. Okay? How about we put a man in the white house who bankrupted four CASINOS! Do you know what a casino is? It's a place where people come in, give you all of their money and walk out. It's a place that makes money on its own. If you run it right a casino will run forever and always turn a profit and this chucklehead managed to make that fail FOUR TIMES. Four!
I wouldn't put this man in charge of managing a piggybank and yet the GOP put him in charge of a superpower with nuclear weapons at his command. A man who is so insecure he has to boast that he remembered five words like he's an grade schooler who got a perfect score on a test for the first time, and we let this guy run the nation?! Are you insane?
There's stuff I'm liberal about, there's stuff I'm conservative about. I believe in gun control, but I also believe in letting americans actually own guns to begin with. I believe we should tax the hell out of the super wealthy but I also don't think we need to throw ALL of the money at the poor because it'll just devalue the dollar. I believe the lower classes should get an increase in their wages and their earnings and I believe rent and water and gas and electricity should come down a bit, but I also don't think we need to make all those utilities free or mega cheap.
This isn't about sides or being a republican or a democrat or a whatever-the-heck-else-you-can-think-of-to-divide-people-into-groups. This about what is right and what is wrong and trump has done things that we all really should be acknowledging are wrong and not let him hide behind the office of president.
Is everything bad his fault? I can't really say for sure but what I do know is that all of these things are all intricately woven together in the tapestry of this country, as president trump is not supposed to tell everyone exactly what to do, his job is to carefully steer our country like a ship. Subtle movements with long lasting effect. Give direction for others to follow and guide them away from actions which will hurt the country. Let the leaders lead and steer with confidence and the voyage will be sound.
Right now our captain is not just asleep at the wheel, he's taking naps at the wheel, going golfing on the party deck and the rest of his time is spent on the radio talking with other captains and asking them how to steer a ship without looking where he's going.
Perhaps a mod should move this to the debate forum.
Trump (and/or the Republicans) is shooting himself in the foot. Two things to think about. ;)
1. There's been a lot of speculation and reasons for why Trump picked Amy Coney Barrett as a new Supreme Court justice and why he wants her nominated so fast. The most obvious is that he wants somebody confirmed before Election Day. He thinks that having her confirmed right away might help his re-election chances.
But there's something else that needs to be looked at. The Affordable Care Act. There's been speculation that Trump picked her to help him overturn/get rid of the ACA. Trump and the Repubs have been adamant about gutting the ACA. They hate it. And now with Amy Coney Barrett being chosen as the next Supreme Court pick, they may just get their wish.
https://www.cnn.com/2020/09/21/politics/supreme-court-obamacare-affordable-care-act/index.html
https://www.cnn.com/2020/09/26/politics/democrats-biden-amy-coney-barrett-nomination/index.html
Millions of people have signed up for Obamacare in the last several years. If Trump, the Repubs, and Amy gut the ACA, then that's going to piss off a lot of people. Some of whom could potentially be Trump/Republican supporters/voters. Not everybody who signs up for Obamacare is a Democrat. You could have people/families who are Republican/Conservative just as well. Trump and the Republicans in Congress will have more to lose than gain if they gut the ACA. Particuarly losing any potential future voters. ;) Repubs are already on life support in Congress. If they gut the ACA, watch as voters vote them out.
2. Trump loves to talk about how bad mail-in voting and absentee ballots are. He constantly whines and complains about it. But the thing is, he's also shooting himself in the foot on this issue. Not all people who vote by mail with an absentee ballot are Democrats. You can have people who are Republican/Conservative vote by mail just as well. Coronavirus is making a lot of people, regardless of political affiliation, refrain from voting in person and switch to absentee balloting. So by slowing down, canceling, etc. main-in voting and absentee ballots, Trump (and Repubs in Congress) could potentially be losing votes from Republican supporters and this will hurt their re-election chances. ;)
For anybody that has or hasn't kept up with the news, the last two days have been "interesting" to say the least regarding Trump's tax situation.
https://www.nytimes.com/interactive/2020/09/27/us/donald-trump-taxes.html?smid=tw-nytimes&smtyp=cur
It's quite possible that his tax situation could be one of the reasons why Trump is so heavily focused on winning a second term.

Basically, it seems to me that Trump is using the Presidency of the United States to hide from the IRS and banks/creditors. If he loses the election, he's in deeeeeeeeep doo-doo. :o
The debate last night was a complete joke. >:( The comedy team of Stan Laural and Oliver Hardy could probably have done better. If anything could have brought that debate to a more "civilized" manner, it should have been more moderating. Chris Wallace did a poor job of moderating last night. It's all a show that the MSM profits from.
But I can't give Biden a pass either. He refused to do a drug test or an ear check. There also is a zoomed in video of him which shows that he was wearing a wire. Of course though, it could have been doctored.

Fact check, please. Cite your source/evidence. I'd like to see.
Hans, that "wire" that people think they saw, is just a shirt crease. I rewatched the debate last night. No wire. It was just Biden scratching an itch he probably had. And Biden had no devices in his ears, either. You're right. On the higher quality film it does look more like a crease then a wire.
I'm sick and tired of all these nutjobs spreading wacko conspriacies all over the Net. >:( Stop believing in all that rubbish, Hans. As for that drug test, it's just Trump trying to aggravate Biden and get under his skin so to speak. Trump is just doing whatever he can and in any way he can to discredit Biden. It's nothing more than a "cheap trick".

BREAKING NEWS!
It was only a matter of time. When you mess with karma, karma bites back. ;)
President Trump (and his wife) both test positive for coronavirus. :o

But how serious is it for trump? Good question.
https://www.cnn.com/2020/10/02/health/trump-melania-coronavirus-risk-factors-bn/index.html
It's a good bet Trump probably caught it from White House advisor Hope Hicks. So now what will Trump do? He'll obviously have to stop his in person campaign rallies. He'll have to quarantine at the White House. I wonder if this will now make him change his mind on wearing masks? (Yeah, right. Doubtful.)
Hans Husky: About that wire/crease in Biden's shirt:
https://www.cnn.com/2020/10/02/tech/biden-debate-wire-conspiracy/index.html
One scary and possible future scenario might be that if Trump were to die from the coronavirus, he might (before his passing) try to convince his son (or other family members) to carry on his "legacy" and run for office. Either in Congress or President of the U.S..There are speculations that Trump Jr. or Ivanka may run in 2024 .
God, I certainly hope not. >:( >:( >:(
Another thought I had: With Trump now having coronavirus (and making that Twitter video), that could play very well into Trump's hands/reelection campaign. Because now, his supporters (and/or others) might feel sympathy/pity for him and re-elect him. A lot more votes could go toward Trump instead of Biden. I really feel people should not do this. Don't elect somebody out of sympathy, pity, etc. But vote for somebody based on their actual accomplishments (or lack thereof). This is why some people are calling this a hoax. I personally don't believe that but it will defientely impact the election.

"Oh no, he's sick. We shouldn't put the pressure on him to run the country"
Besides, he got the plague. That's not something I want in a leader. I prefer presidents who don't catch the plague. 8)
But the drive-by was totally and completely unnecessary. There is absolutely no medical reason for why Trump should be put into a car and paraded by his supporters, with two Secret Service agents in the front seat. None.
The reason why Trump did it, then? There are actually two.
1) He is increasingly concerned that being in the hospital makes him look weak in the eyes of voters. And for Trump, there is NOTHING worse than looking weak. He has spent his whole life projecting a tough-guy image and deriding those who he views to be less tough. Trump has released multiple videos from Walter Reed making sure his supporters know that while he's in the hospital he is still working -- and not laid low by the virus. But that wasn't enough for him. He wanted more of a show, more of a "moment" that would make clear that he was holding up against the virus. And so, the parade.
2) He needs to hear the cheers and applause of his most ardent backers. When Trump heard that there were people waving flags and standing vigil for him outside the hospital, it was like a moth to a flame. Trump has long believed that his raucous campaign rallies are the lifeblood of his campaign, and it's become increasingly clear how much he depends on them. This is a President who desperately needs to be affirmed for every word he says and action he takes. The applause, the chants, the MAGA hats -- they all fuel him. It's how he does what he does. And in the hospital, he hasn't been able to hold any rallies or even see people cheering for him. And so he leaped at the chance to do so.
Trump didn't think about anyone else -- and what his stunt might mean for them -- because that is not what he does. As he has proven time and time again as both a candidate for president and during his first term, he lacks the empathy gene. Trump views the world through a very simple lens: Is this good for me or bad for me? If the former, he does it. If the latter he doesn't.
Afterward, members of the Secret Service voiced escalating concern at what many of the agency's personnel have determined is total disregard for their well-being amid a deadly and highly contagious pandemic. Agents have tested positive for the virus while traveling for the President's political rallies, which he insisted on maintaining even against federal health guidelines. As employees self-quarantine or isolate in place, others have been forced to work longer hours to fill the void.
It's a situation that has prompted growing and more vocal concern.
"That should never have happened," one current Secret Service agent who works on the presidential and first family detail said after Trump's drive-by, adding that those agents who went along for the ride would now be required to quarantine.
"I mean, I wouldn't want to be around them," the agent said, expressing a view that multiple people at the Secret Service also voiced in the wake of Sunday's appearance.
"The frustration with how we're treated when it comes to decisions on this illness goes back before this though. We're not disposable."
Another veteran Secret Service agent also expressed deep dismay at the Walter Reed ride, though was sympathetic for those around the President given the difficulty in pushing back on the commander-in-chief.
"You can't say no," the agent said.
While agents in the Secret Service have the power to say no to activities that could put a president in danger, they can't say no in situations that could put themselves in danger.
A third agent told CNN: "It was simply reckless." But another sought to downplay the concern.
"I've watched some of the news today and it's ridiculous to say the President is trying to kill off his detail," said another current agent on Sunday. "He's unconventional, but we get the job done."
......and if the president will take a new approach the the pandemic.
It really sickens me to see that Trump just doesn't care about the coronavirus at all. Him being in that SUV was just a careless photo op political stunt. >:( Even some of his Secret Service agents were against it. But to Trump, he doesn't care.Correct me if i'm wrong, but he had to get into the car anyways to get to marine one when he was discharged. I also believe that he always has the same agents with him. In the end , I don't see how it made any difference.

You know, it's so sad that the US is filled with such great people, yet the 2 people that are competing for the presidency, are the 2 biggest nutjobs I have ever heard of, in my personal opinion.
Look, I'm not here to debate who is crazier. Both have major flaws and anybody who thinks that there candidate of choice is a perfect saint and the other is a evil demon is just plain ignorant and honestly, rather foolish. The point is, there are many people who are much more qualified for the presidency than Trump and Biden, yet we end up with people like this. I personally identify politically somewhere between a right leaning centrist and a moderate conservative and although my views tend to align more with the GOP than the other right wing parties like the libertarian party and the Constitutional party, I still think it would be nice if other parties besides the GOP and the Democratic party got a good shot at the presidency. You know, it's so sad that the US is filled with such great people, yet the 2 people that are competing for the presidency, are the 2 biggest nutjobs I have ever heard of, in my personal opinion.
Biden isn't nearly the nutjob that Trump is. Not even close.
The jackass-in-chief has ignored doctor's orders and returned to the white house and taken off his mask so as to project an image of strength.
Kobuk, there's a real difference between what President trump did and those before him. Those before him did it to keep a strong image of America to both this country and the world. Trump did it to mock a virus that has killed well over 200.000 people in this country. His actions are not one of a hero. His actions make him a murderer.
You are entitled to your opinion but to claim that this debate was as bad as the last one is simply beyond me. In fact, according to a fact check I saw, Hariss lied twice much as Pence. She was caught completely red handed when she outright lied about fracking. I am going to do some more research to confirm this. Also she refused to answer the question about filling the court which I found disgusting. Also, people love to talk about how divisive the GOP is. Now tell me, on the final question, which answer do you thinkencouraged more division?
26 Days left, and the debate showed the VP as disrespectful, nearly as much
as Trump was. Yes both skipped questions, but the VP seemed to do it much more
than Harris. As most GOP politicians the VP would not shut up, it seems they are
afraid the public might believe the Democrats instead. So they go on and on, just as
the VP did last night. Even over the top of the moderator.
To me the VP seemed tired, and even a bit hoarse. Could it be he is infected, and
hiding it? Only time will tell if this is the case.
The Trump administration still won't put their health care plan out for the public to see.
Even after 4 years. I have a hunch it's because it's just a return to the old way, where
people with health issues can't get affordable insurance, and even if they can, it's so
expensive many people can't afford it. So once the ACA is gone over 100 million with health problems will be without health insurance, and another 20 million will lose
affordable insurance as well.
The next debate is to be a virtual one, but Trump knowing it would be almost
impossible for him to dominate with constant interruptions, he has said he would be a
no show. Apparently afraid to be in a debate where he could be forced to follow the
rules. He seems to think debates should be a fight instead of a discussion between
two civilized people. Unless he changes his mind, he claims he will have a rally
instead. It will be interesting to see how many show up in front of a man that is
likely infected with covid19.
Sadly he has decided that he has been cured of covid19. It this was the case it would
be the very first, as science has not found a cure yet, much less a dependable
treatment. Trump doesn't even want to release his latest test results. Perhaps because
it will show his claim that he is cured to be a lie. It is interesting that each time he is on
a video he has a lot of makeup. Could it be he is trying to hide his real appearance.
If Trump is still infected and contagious, he should continue his quarantine, and not
put people at risk by traveling. But no, it's about him and his ego, and no one else.
Those who plan to vote by mail need to vote early, because Trump and the GOP
are doing all they can to slow mail service, and limit voting by people of color.
People should go to their county seat, and vote absent T in person. This will make
it very difficult for the GOP to keep your vote from counting. Also take a friend with
you, and if the state doesn't allow in person absent T voting, personally deliver your
mail in vote to them instead of mailing it. That way you can ask them to see if you
made any mistakes, or if your signature matches or not.
Anyone who is interested in a fair election should volunteer to be a poll worker. Just go to
your states website or google for state info about being a poll worker. No matter what your
party affiliation is,
The number of infections in the U S is over 7,600,000 and deaths are over 212,000.
World wide the number of infections is over 36,000,000 and over 1,015,000 deaths.

Hans. Are you trying to say that four years of blatant white supremacy support can be equal to a few questions?
Let me ask you a few questions then.
A member of a white supremacy group runs over and kills protesters. President trump said he was in the right. Good or bad?
A white supremacy group is known for attacking and beating up people. ANTIF stepped in and stopped them. President trump calls ANTIFA a terrorist group. Good or bad?
People are being brutalized and killed for the color of their skin. So these people protest with signs saying "Black Lives Matter". President trump calls black lives matter a terrorist group. Good or bad?
There is plenty more examples of our President supporting white supremacy. How about the fact that he refused to call out 'The Proud Boys' in his last debate? He later had to be forced to so he would look good.
So please tell me how a few questions is as divisive as four years of blatant support for white supremacy? I would LOVE to hear your answer.
Republicans claim that Democrats are packing the Supreme Court. You are talking about replacing justices. Packing the court means to add seats so they can make it a democratic majority. The number of seats has not been changed in 150 years and Biden is refusing to tell people if he will do that. He says that you will find out after the election.
Democrats claim that Republicans are packing the Supreme court.
So who's right? Well, they both are. But the Republicans do it more. ;)
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Judicial_appointment_history_for_United_States_federal_courts#Supreme_Court
Look at the very first 2 charts for the Supreme Court. Particuarly for the years 1976-2008. Now if that isn't "packing" the Supreme Court, especially by Republicans, then I don't know what is.
First off No. President trump has supported the Proud Boys. Just like his refusal to call them out during the debate. Then forced to afterwards. That is the truth.

And as for ANTIFA. Wrong again. ANTIFA is not a violent organization. They where formed to stand between violent groups and protesters. The proud boys have always been a violent group. Got time? Google proud boys arrest. Yes there have been a few incidences by and hand full of people in ANTIFA.
As far as ANTIFA goes.

Black Lives Mater is not, nor has it ever been an organization. Trump as falsely called it an organization and a terrorist group. Right wing media has done the same. The republican party has done the same. Blatant racist act. Call it a terrorist group and ignore the real issue.
There is the truth. Then there is right wing media.
Here's the difference between them.
January.
Media: Covid 19 is a deadly virus that is killing people.
Right wing media: Covid 19 no deadlier than the flue
February.
Media: Covid 19 has hospitalized thousands. Leading to mass graves of unclaimed bodies. Schools are closing to help keep the virus from spreading faster.
Right wing media: Covid 19 is a hoax their using to attack trump. Media and liberals are spreading fear.
March
Media: Local governments are closing businesses and public gatherings of any kind to try to keep the virus from spreading faster.
Right wing media: We never called the virus a hoax. Yet we are still going to downplay the virus and call all this unnecessary and over reactions by democrats and liberals.
So you have no right in saying that all media is spreading lies. The republican party, trump and the right wing media live and depend on them. Remember 'alternate facts'. What media stood behind that lie.
Well, Trump didn't get that Nobel Peace prize that he's been wanting for so long. Sucks to be him. :DVery true. The question is how do you fix such a problem. Not everybody knows how to factcheck and do there own research. Do you have the government control the media? That wouldn't be any better. Ultimately, I believe the media has to be held accountable , but how?
https://www.cnn.com/2020/10/09/world/nobel-peace-prize-winner-2020-intl/index.html
All media is a lie to some degree. The question is, Who's doing the lying?
The photographer/cameraman out in the field?
The reporter holding the microphone doing his/her report and asking questions?
The people in the sound/editing booths back at the studio?
The head honcho CEO who owns the media ?
Or somebody else?
As an old phrase kinda goes: The "brown stuff" falls downhill. We all know that media is about ratings and money. Make a news report spectacular enough and people will watch it and believe in it and that will drive the ratings. But who's pushing for that? Certainly not the cameraman holding the camera? Everything flows downhill from the top to the bottom. IMO, it's the big honcho Execs. who are media to be what it is. Not necessarily always the lowly camera people, staffers, desk reporters, etc.
Not all media is fake/false.
Is the weather fake?
How about sports?
Travel & Leisure?
Cooking and Home life?
Entertainment?
There probably are some reporters who do want to get the truth out for a news story. But in some way they can't because their bosses above them say to change this story or this fact to make it more "entertaining" to the wider audience.
Very true. The question is how do you fix such a problem. Not everybody knows how to factcheck and do there own research. Do you have the government control the media? That wouldn't be any better. Ultimately, I believe the media has to be held accountable , but how?
Who would do that? The government?QuoteVery true. The question is how do you fix such a problem. Not everybody knows how to factcheck and do there own research. Do you have the government control the media? That wouldn't be any better. Ultimately, I believe the media has to be held accountable , but how?
I wish I knew. But I don't have an answer. :( The only thing I can think of is to "re-invent" so to speak the way college journalism classes are taught. Other than that, maybe put some sort of penalties on news execs. and/or reporters who report false news?
As for polls, swing states, etc., I would take that with a grain of salt. A lot of people, polls, news reports, etc. would like to "put the cart before the horse" so to speak and say that Trump will come out on top and win this election. But we really won't know until Nov. 3rd. Not beforehand. Will Trump win in November? It's hard to say for sure. Some people are saying that we could still have another repeat of 2016 where the popular vote went to Biden, but the Electoral vote went to Trump. If that happens, it's because the Repubs pulled every dirty trick in the voting book to get Trump reelected. >:( It's not the Democrats who are "rigging" the election. It's the Repubs who are making voting harder and doing whatever they can in any way they can to secure a second term for Trump. (And let's not forget Russian meddling too!)
He's made it very clear that even if he does lose the election he will not go quietly. I fully believe that if left to his own devices he'd glue himself in the oval office and tell his followers to start shooting like it's a new civil war because he ain't leaving.
I mean I would hope that this moron doesn't try to spark off a civil war but I wouldn't past him to have considered it a viable option.
This is for the people who claim that the radical left isn't violent.

Is this Trump and the White House's new strategy for coronavirus? :o God, I certainly hope not. We all know that Trump is trying to play down the effects of coronavirus. But to think herd immunity will save people is just reckless. >:(Anyone who thinks herd immunity is gonna save lives doesn't understand what it is they're calling for.

I tuned in more to Biden's Town Hall tonight instead of Trump's. At least Biden's was more civilized. Trump's town hall was more like a repeat of the first debate. Except the "combat" wasn't with Biden, it was with the moderator.........who couldn't seem to get the town hall under control. :( From what I've read and seen of Trump's town hall, Trump was sounding like a broken record just repeating lies and baseless crap over and over and over and over and over and over...... :P :P :PThe debate was pretty bad but I was actually surprised how well he behaved at the town hall. The moderater actually interrupted him almost every sentence. She seemed to think it was a debate.
They are all so corrupt. Trump with the things you mentioned and Biden with Ukraine and burisma. Why can't we seems to nominate a normal, honest candidate for once.
Still fuming over NBS's blatant town hall timing. Now learned that despite the rules stating that all audience members should be non decided voters we got the 'nodding head lady'. Turns out she ran for office as a trump supporter. It's no surprise. Trump and his team can't be honest about a single thing. Why be honest with America during an even that was supposed to be unbiased.
Hans, you know what really funny about the Biden supporters? All the right wing news outlets are claiming Biden's town hall was on NBC. So they are all saying The NBC broadcast of Biden's town hall was full of Biden supporters. Critical thinking would instantly, in fact any thinking at all, would instantly bring to mind that Biden's town hall was on ABC. Not NBC. It's funny how propaganda works isn't it.I am aware of the difference between NBC and ABC I am talking about a town hall he did on NBC a few weeks ago. They said that all the people there were undecided voters. Turns out, the same people appeared on a programm for biden supporters. How come that causes no controversy but the left explodes at the "nodding lady" on the trump town hall when they clearly said that there woupd be trump supporters, biden supporters, and undecided voters. How do you justify that? Do you justify Twitter and Facebook censoring the NY post article about Hunter Biden.
I'll quote this from your post.
"In the NBC biden town hall they said that they were undecided and it turned out that they where all biden supporters."
Truth is good. Propaganda is bad. Alternate facts are lies.
Haha! Gotta love it! :D Microphones will be muted at the next Presidential Debate.Couldn't he just yell very loudly. I have a feeling that that might happen.
https://www.cnn.com/2020/10/19/politics/presidential-debate/index.html
Finally, we won't have to listen to all that hot air coming out of Trump's flippant mouth. :D :D
Miss you Old Rabbit. Hope your able to read this and are doing well. Looking forward to reading from you again soon!Honestly the only real outlet here is Reuters. All the rest are bs including FOX.
Hans, it is very clear that Hunter Biden is in the clear.
Seems Trump walked out on an interview. Still can't handle the truth.
Trump is a big fan of right wing propaganda networks and here's the numbers to prove it. This is a list of how many interviews he's done and one what network.
Fox News (all platforms): 115
Wall Street Journal: 10
NBC/CNBC: 9
Washington Post: 8
Reuters: 8
New York Times: 8
ABC: 7
CBS: 7 (including Tuesday's "60 Minutes" interview)
Associated Press: 2
If your not smiling and nodding at him he's not going to talk to you. 115 on a right wing network. 59 for real news networks.
Hmmmm. About Trump and the media.........What will Trump do after the election if he loses? He always complains about the media and how they portray him negatively, etc.I wouldn't doubt it . What about hosting a presidential apprentice. Instead of you're fired it could be: "you're impeached"
Could this be his next career choice?
https://www.cnn.com/2020/10/21/politics/donald-trump-2020-election-fox-news-oann/index.html
White House chief of staff Mark Meadows said Sunday that the US is "not going to control" the coronavirus pandemic, as cases surge across the country and nearly 225,000 Americans have died from the virus.
"We are not going to control the pandemic. We are going to control the fact that we get vaccines, therapeutics and other mitigation areas," Meadows told CNN's Jake Tapper on "State of the Union."
The comments from President Donald Trump's chief of staff come as coronavirus cases surge across the US and the administration continues to consistently disregard advice from government health experts to wear masks, social distance and avoid large gatherings as a way to curb the spread of the virus. The White House is also facing a potential second outbreak of the virus after at least five people in Pence's inner circle have tested positive in recent days, according to a source familiar with the situation.
Pressed by Tapper on why the US isn't going to get the pandemic under control, Meadows said: "Because it is a contagious virus just like the flu." He added that the Trump administration is "making efforts to contain it."
"What we need to do is make sure that we have the proper mitigation factors, whether it's therapies or vaccines or treatments to make sure that people don't die from this," Meadows said.
The US reported its second-highest day of new cases on Saturday, with nearly 84,000 Americans contracting the deadly virus. As of Sunday, there were at least 8,575,000 total cases of coronavirus in the US, and at least 224,800 Americans have died from the virus, according to Johns Hopkins University.
But as concerns grow that more people surrounding the vice president could test positive in the coming days, Pence, who is the head of the White House's coronavirus task force, does not currently plan to self-quarantine, in defiance of US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention guidelines, and will continue campaigning as the election nears.
Pence and second lady Karen Pence each tested negative for coronavirus on Sunday, a White House official said.
"I spoke to the vice president last night at midnight and I can tell you that what he is doing is wearing a mask, socially distancing and when he goes up to speak he will take the mask off and put it back on," Meadows said. "He is wearing a mask as it relates to this particular thing because the doctors have advised him to do that."
Meadows also refused to disclose the extent of the Covid-19 outbreak in Pence's orbit, saying the administration doesn't share personal information and that such disclosures are only appropriate in the case of the President, vice president or those in their inner circle.
"Anytime there's someone in harm's way, we have an obligation to let people know for contract-tracing," he said.
Meadows argued that Pence would continue with travel plans because he is "essential personnel."
"I'm not saying he is not campaigning, I'm saying that is only part of what he is doing and as we look at that, 'essential personnel,' whether it's the vice president of the United States or anyone else, has to continue on," he said.
Pence, who is known to rarely wear a mask while flying on Air Force Two, traveled on Saturday to Florida for campaign rallies in Lakeland and Tallahassee. The vice president walked across the tarmac from Marine Two in a mask and boarded Air Force Two about an hour behind schedule.
Pence emerged maskless from Air Force Two in Florida, running down the steps and jogging across the tarmac, fist pumping as he approached the podium.
An official told CNN's Kevin Liptak on Sunday that Pence is expected to campaign every day until Election Day and those plans remain in place for now.
After visiting North Carolina later Sunday, the vice president is traveling to Minnesota on Monday and back to North and South Carolina on Tuesday. He's also expected to return to the upper Midwest this week. The official said Pence would continue to be tested but, like Trump, still plans to be on the road every day for the next week.
California Sen. Kamala Harris, the Democratic nominee for vice president, said Sunday that Pence "should be following the guidelines," when asked about his decision to continue campaigning despite news of the positive tests. "We're doing it. I think what we have modeled (is) the right and good behavior, and they just take our lead."
Harris canceled travel a week ago "out of an abundance of caution" after two people in her orbit tested positive for the virus.
Harris, speaking shortly after arriving in Detroit, said that Meadows' comments to Tapper on Sunday show the Trump administration is "admitting defeat."
"We are breaking records of the number of people that are contracting, a deadly virus, and this administration fails to take personal responsibility or responsibility in terms of leading the nation through this dangerous, dangerous and deadly mass casualty."
Gun Control! The Dems will take away all your guns!
He seems to think the supreme court has more power than any other branch of government. The don't.You could fill several books with information Trump doesn't know about the election system. And then use those book to teach classes about the system...
I imagine President Trump throwing a three day temper tantrum. Like a spoiled four year old. His staff keeping him away from any cell phone or computer. All the wile he's stomping around proclaiming he is the President and should be allowed to do what ever he wants.
Kay, what I fear most from Trump (and/or his supporters) is what comes in the next 3 months from November to January 20th. If Trump loses, which it looks like he will, he still has 3 more months left of his presidency to go. What will he do during that time? That's what scares me. :o He could conceivably create a "scorched earth" policy. And I don't mean with nuclear weapons. What I mean is, he could say "If I can't have this Presidency, then neither can Biden.". He could fire more people, create more executive orders, or do God knows what to "trash" democracy, the White House, gov't institutions, etc. to prevent Biden from securing the White House and having a new government. Trump is like a caged animal that has been backed against a wall. And you'd better be cautious when dealing with him cause you don't know what he is going to do. I even just read on the news this morning that Trump has made his intentions that he will not concede if he were to lose to Biden. And of course, let's not forget that he is peppering the courts right now with legal challenges about vote counting, fraud, recounts, etc. to try and stop the counting, etc. How effective these lawsuits will be remains to be seen.
Trump is gone?(https://pics.me.me/thumb_the-evil-is-defeated-taylor-swift-ha-logrado-lo-superar-27559335.png)
Finally! Something good has happened in 2020.
I imagine President Trump throwing a three day temper tantrum. Like a spoiled four year old. His staff keeping him away from any cell phone or computer. All the wile he's stomping around proclaiming he is the President and should be allowed to do what ever he wants.
And here he is! :D
(https://pbs.twimg.com/media/DCfPqi5UMAAvP3x.jpg)
Here's a question I want to ask everyone: 2024 is still years away, but what do you think of Kamala Harris's chances of running for President in the next election if Biden does not run for a second term? Would she make a good President? Don't just look at her political record of service, but also look at the "character" of the person. Frankly, I wouldn't mind seeing her run for President.
I am so glad Trump is out. :) This is like the American people telling a spoiled kid that No, you can't always get what you want, or No, you can't have that.
I am glad the American people stood up to Trump and told him NO.
It's a bitter pill to swallow, but Trump needed to hear it. But will he learn any lesson from it? Sadly, I doubt it. :(
Unfortuneately, I fear a lot of Trump supporters will stubbornly refuse to open their eyes. Case in point:
https://www.cnn.com/2020/11/08/politics/trump-voters-react-to-election/index.html
Kay there is noting wrong with guns. I've owned a few. Was even a member of the NRA. I have quite a few friends who own well over 100 guns each. Guns don't kill people. People kill people with guns. And before that people killed people with knives and swords. And right here before this place was called America people killed people with stone weapons and arrows. Tougher laws and gun control of any kind wont stop this. Tougher laws on gun violence will slow it down. But that's the best we all can hope for.
I know I've said it here in this thread or in other threads that I believe we may be headed toward another 2nd American Civil War. Or maybe.........it already has. Maybe not a Civil War with people taking to the streets and shootings guns, etc. But rather what I would call a "silent" Civil War where the weapons right now are words, rhetoric, and social media. And the more and worse the rhetoric gets, the more liklyhood we actually may be in an actual shooting war with civilian shooting civilian, brother vs. brother, neighbor vs. neighbor, family vs. family, and so on.
President Trump is loosing everything. Including respect.Oh come now. He lost that a LONG time ago.
It is true a shutdown would be bad, but the GOP leader of the senate doesn't want to
provide relief that could be used to help those businesses from going broke. The
GOP isn't interested in helping people who are being affected by covid19. they
only want to help their rich supporters.
The internet has given people a way to communicate, but bad people are using it to spread lies to gain power and public support.
Biden won. End of story. Nothing that Trump or his supporters or the Republican Party can do or say to change that. They all need to stop their crybaby attitudes and dry their eyes and get over the election. The election is done and over with.
Trump lost.
Biden won.
Deal with it.
And once he's out of office trump is gonna have to deal with all of the consequences of his actions and all the mounting legal crap coming his way.
The friends of Trump had a rally in the nations capital yesterday.
Don't you find it disturbing that people like AOC are demanding a list of Trump's supporters for persecution, or that David Plouffe said "It is not enough to simply beat Trump. He must be destroyed thoroughly. His kind must not rise again."? Destroying political opposition and anyone who believes differently than you do is perhaps the clearest identifier of tyranny in existence. It was practiced by most recently by Hitler, Lennin, Stalin, Mao, and many other oppressive regimes after rising to power in the 20th century, and that's just the most recent examples. While you may enjoy it when you're party is in power, if things were reversed and you were persecuted for supporting Biden, denied aid, employment, the right to enter grocery stores, etc, I don't doubt the screaming and shrieking of "unfairness" would be loud and clear.
The friends of Trump had a rally in the nations capital yesterday.
Tell me, Old Rabbit, was the Democrat violence on the peaceful protesters in Washington DC last night justified?
Instead of acting like an adult President Trump is dragging his pain out as far as he can. His supporters are getting tired of this. Even the dimmest candle in the box is starting to see through this behavior.
I vote omnivore, an equal opportunity eater.
It's over. No civil war. No cold war. No violence in the streets. No separate government. No Trump Nation or Trump loyalist government. No votes have been disqualified or taken away. All in time for the holidays! Right wing fanatics will soon be back to normal people. Buying Christmas presents and worrying about shipping costs. Because they will start caring for family more than propaganda.
For all his antics and lies Trump will spend the rest of his life as a social pariah. Rudy Giuliani will go down in history as a clown.
I vote omnivore, an equal opportunity eater.
I vote omnivore, an equal opportunity eater.
Don't forget that even animals that vegans would classify as "Pure herbivores" like deer are known to eat flesh and bones. :goldbloody:
Deer are well known to eat the flesh that sheds off their antlers when they're done growing to get back nutrients and they do the same when antlers shed, they will also eat bones for calcium and they'll eat meat as well. There's even been a discovery of a white tailed deer eating human meat!
https://www.nationalgeographic.com/news/2017/05/deer-eating-human-forensics-decomposition/#:~:text=(Read%20more%20about%20the%20white,rabbits%2C%20and%20even%20live%20birds.
Now I know that's neither here nor there about the election but I thought it was important to point out that the herbivore party cannot be trusted to maintain their own vegan values! Everyone loves the taste of flesh! HAHAHAHA-er... I mean....back to you in the booth Old Rabbit. :goldlaugh:
EX President Trump's irrational behavior has a purpose. He needs to keep his fan base active. This way he can start pilfering them for donations. I can see hem going directly to fox news once he's out of office. Use their platform to start his campaign for 2024. Claiming he needs donations to help win back the office that was stolen from him. This money will go directly to him. He can do anything he wants with it. Including helping him to pay off legal fees and fines he's facing once out of office. Any real news of how he's handling this money will be treated as 'fake news' or 'Trump bashing'.
After Palin and Trump it will be interesting to see the next clown the republican party supports for president. They still need a clown in office to keep America uninformed.
Remember folks. What every Ex president Trump does in these last few weeks can be corrected next month. And you can always remember, with a smile, all of EX president Trump's signed executive orders that flew apart quicker than a stack of cards on a windy day. And the best part is Ex president Trump will be remembered through out history for his behavior these last few weeks. His entire presidency was a failure. No matter how bad he was as president. He will go down in history first as a man who lied about a pandemic that's killing thousands of Americans. And secondly for his irrational childlike tantrums. He is noting more than a stain on the American carpet, The very stain that has been covered up by right wing media for four years. Will be cleaned up in a few weeks.
^ Not everything that Trump did may be able to be corrected/overturned by Biden. There may be some actions that will require Congress's approval. Specifically the Republicans in the Senate. If the Democrats don't win the two Georgia elections in January for Senate control, Biden will have an uphill battle trying to overturn a lot of Trump's actions as well as getting a lot of his Cabinet picks approved.
I hear now there is an alternate universe news channel for trump fans. Wonder if they'll have conventions. Everyone running around in orange wigs and expensive suits.
Trump and his supporters are already going to Newsmax, One America Network, and the social media platform Parler.
Get out and get some fresh air.
I plan to stop my political posts after the Biden inauguration. My vision is getting pretty bad, but I think these
posts are helping me use the computer with my failing vision. Otherwise I might just give up on it's use.
Wha-
NO! BAD!!
We're still in a pandemic! You can't just go outside and taste fresh air cause Trump is on his way out! The virus is still here!
I do hope you're being metaphorical with that Cause cause that is just.... No! DO NOT GO OUTSIDE UNLESS YOU MUST! Wear a mask! Stop walking into the clouds of death that science has outright TOLD YOU is a cloud of death!
I'm sure everyone remembers when Ex president Trump decorated his golf club with fake pictures of himself on the cover of Time. I think it would be a nice gesture if everyone would post in Ex presidents titter feed. A nice picture of Biden and Harris on the cover of Time. With a hash tag, #real. Just to remind him to buy an issue.
Did you all catch Ex president Trump's latest action? He signed a bill wiping out the 1990's water conservation act. Ex president Trump claims "when you turn the shower on all you get is a drizzle." "People all across America have to flush their toilets 15 times." And so one. Just another lie that's lead to another joke this guy will be remembered for.
Heard immunity means we are nothing more than cattle to them. Let them be cattle too.(https://i.gifer.com/8R1Q.gif)
On another subject. Ex president Trump can NOT proclaim martial law just because he wants to. There are laws in place.
On another subject. Ex president Trump can NOT proclaim martial law just because he wants to. There are laws in place.
Nevertheless, even the mention of martial law may fan the flames of many supporters clinging to the belief the election result was fraudulent. That could incite violence to bring the idea into fruition.
"In the conspiratorial conservative base of supporting Trump, there are calls for using the Insurrection Act to declare martial law," said Elizabeth Neumann, former assistant secretary of Homeland Security under President Trump and adviser at Defending Democracy Together, on CNN's "Reliable Sources."
"When they hear that the president is actually considering this, there are violent extremist groups that look at this as a dog whistle, an excuse to go out and create ... violence," she said.
It's a concept she calls "acceleration," in which violent extremist groups, especially White supremacists, try to overthrow of the United States government. These groups believe that will take place through a civil war and look to "accelerate the chaos, accelerate the coming of the civil war."
"So when they hear that the president is open to this idea of martial law, we may see certain groups mobilizing to commit acts that, in their minds, a justification for the use of the Insurrection Act," Neumann.
Call me a bad person, I don't care.
Another republican congressman dies of Covid.

There needs to be more of this. After all their miss information and downplaying this virus I wouldn't mind seeing a lot more republicans die. God knows they've helped kill of plenty of Americans. Right now 1 out of every 1000 of us have died. We are nothing but cattle to them.
Oh, I probably agree that they do deserve what they get. I just don't agree that they should die. A lot of Republicans have been seen with Trump or at some of his activities not wearing masks or social distancing during this coronavirus pandemic. As I may have previously said in this thread, let karma do it's job. They know the risks. They should also learn to accept the consequences of their actions. So if they get sick, then fine. But dying? No, I don't wish that. They may say and do some dumb stuff. But they're just as human as the rest of us and still deserve to live.
Well what do you know. Remember what i said about giving Trump some rope to hang himself with? His last tweets where hints of setting up a separate government. That my fellow furrys is called treason. That's some rope there buddy. Thank YOU Thank YOU THANK YOU to who ever in law enforcement convinced Twitter to let Trump continue to post. THANK YOU! Now let us all hope with all our hearts that Trump finds a new, welcoming platform and continues to nail his own coffin shut.
In other news.........
The furry FBI has arrested 3 suspects today for their involvement in last week's insurrection. Kay Alett was arrested for producing and distributing chocolate Kit Kat bombs. Cause the Rat was arrested for vandalizing and defacing property by grafitti with acrylic paints. And Jade Sinapu was arrested for excessive barking, growling, snarling, and chasing at police (as well as postal carriers). All 3 will be charged in a furry court of law on Friday. :D
In other news.........Hey now if you can think of a better way to distribute kit kats to people I'd like to hear it! >:(

First let it be remembered and NEVER forgotten. The Americans who raided the capital building are victims of lies, propaganda and brain washing. Don't be angry at them. Be angry and never forget who did this to them.
Well this was one of the shortest impeachment trials. One day. I didn't watch it but kinda wonder who would speak up for Trump. And speaking of speaking there's a lot of speaking about three republicans who were speaking for months to the leader of the "Stop the Steal" movement. Actually speaking about planning this attack of the US Capital on that exact date. So in a game of cards you have a public speaker who just happen to be speaking on that planned day in front of a large crowd that would not have been there if that speaker wasn't speaking. The same date talked about by three republicans who were speaking to a propaganda organizer. There is a lot of speaking about how there where four republicans who would of had to know about this attack. One of them was actually speaking on that exact date to a crowd who would not have been there if that speaker wasn't speaking.

I get where you're coming from Cause, and I sympathize to some degree. I feel bad for the people who were strung along, they were misled and brainwashed into this cult...
OR, I think you should finish out this thread through the end of January. Trump may be out of office tomorrow on the 20th, but who knows what shenanigans him and his cronies will do afterwards. I say keep posting in this thread till January 31st. Finish off the month. Not a bad idea. If there's anything we should all know about this manbaby its that he will whine the loudest he's ever whined after this and it's going to be something to behold. Plus there's been talk of another insurrection on the 20th, it may or may not happen or they may wait.
And speaking of the impeachment proceedings. Part of his legal team just walked out on him. Trump want's to continue his lie about the election. They said no and walked out. His freedom of speech angle would be thrown out of court. His lawyer's defense on why Trump can't be impeached because he's no longer president floats like a rock. He did this crime wile he was president. Impeachment is the only coarse of action our government has. The rest would have to be done outside of the house and senate.

Trump's got home troubles too. Apparently he doesn't want to honor the legal agreement he signed when he turned Mar-a-Largo into a privet club. Legally he can't live there.

Perhaps he could put up a tent on his golf course and live with his body guards. Hi Hi.
Sometimes I wish there was a way to have a non human entity to setup rules for us all.
Say a alien with the power and intelligence to bring the people of the world together in
peace and prosperity. A dream unfortunately, but I fear humanity will destroy it's
self before it become smart enough to create a world of peace. Because the human
brain is for it's self, and only intellect can overcome that instinctual self desire.
Hopefully, truth, justest, and the American way will mean something to the GOP again.
If not they will end up in the trash bin of history. Where all bad organizations belong.
The GOP is crying foul over the Democrats idea of increasing the size of the supreme court. Claiming the Democrats are trying to pack the court. This hypocritical claim by the GOP would be laughable if it wasn't so sad. It has been the goal of the GOP for
many years to have a conservative majority on the high court. In 2015 the GOP controlled senate refused to consider a moderate judge for the court, with the claim it
was too close to the next election to do so. Then in 2020 they voted to replace a justice during a very election they had previously claimed was wrong to do.
President Biden has put sanctions on Russia due to their interference in our
political process, and for stealing government and business information via the
internet. Of course they deny all this, but we have good evidence to prove it.
When Trump was president, it seemed Russia could do no wrong. At least according
to Trump. I kind of think Trump felt if he was nice Putin would be. This just shows how
ignorant Trump was when it came to diplomacy.
His own lawyer said Trump was too lazy to run a business, much less the White House. The trouble with Trump is he enjoys having the title, but has no real interest
in doing the work. Oh he loves the crowds that cheer for him, and being in the spotlight,
but that is about all.
I think people should serve at least one term in the U S House, and one in the senate
before they can run for the office of president. I am sure the founders didn't expect a
man like Trump to run for president, much less win, or they would have required a background in government service to be eligible for the office. No neophyte like Trump has any business being the president of the United States.
The stupidity of the GOP and right wing media never ceases to amaze me. :P >:(Is it just me or is it a bit refreshing to have the what the heck news be just sensationalized jibberish from the republicans again? As opposed to those odd four years where every what the heck moment from that side was an actual thing that actually happened.

Hide your hamburgers, folks! The Democrats are going to take them away from you. :D
I never thought I would see this kind of thing actually happening but here we are. This crap has to be fought.
The real chaff. A judge, without probable cause, this is frightening.
My, my, how the shoe is on the other foot now. ;)What shoe? What foot? You don't see me filling a thread with post after post after post excoriating President Biden do you? I haven't written WORD ONE about Biden here at Furtopia. I also refuse to allow Biden to live rent free in my head. He'll have his Fifteen Minutes and he will be gone. Same as Trump.
Republicans and Trump supporters, and even Trump himself have all called Democratic liberals as "communists/commies" because they want socialist reforms.Isn't a Communist one who wants "socialist reforms"? Sort of goes with the territory :P
But now I've seen in the news where Trump and/or some of his supporters and fellow Republicans have PRAISED Russia for being strong and going into Ukraine, etc. :oI was never a big fan of Trump's. I was pleasantly surprised by a lot of what he accomplished, but now, he's had his Fifteen Minutes; he needs to step aside and let fresh leadership step forward. His cult-like followers are every bit as creepy as the cult-like followers of Barack Obama. At least there are no paintings of a naked Donald Trump riding a unicorn. :o
Gee, who's the communist now? :D Sounds to me like Trump and anybody else who supports Russia is a traitor. >:(
Back in the 1980's, Americans..........and Republicans.........knew who our enemy was during the Cold War. It was the Soviet Union. And it still is today even though it's now called Russia. But apparently Repubs just don't care about what is going on across the world and are still fixated on spreading election conspiracies. They obviously have their priorities screwed up. If Reagan were alive and President, he'd stand up to the Russians. Not cozying up to them the way Trump just did.If Reagan waas alive and President, he'd be 111 years old :D
Oh id do get better. be bedder by de moment. Trump demonstrates psychotic behavior. Taunting his opposition wile claiming to be innocent is psychotic by the book. Yada, yada, yada...
