CNN also confirms this.
EDIT: SK Military is on emergency alert as this is posted.

Good riddance to bad rubbish. :P
However.........Once one leader is gone, another dictatorial leader will always take the former's place. It'll be difficult to say what his son will be like and how he'll run the country.
-
And from some articles I've read, his son is very much a copy of his father... Only time will tell of course.
So many dictators gone in 2011.
-
I'm just surprised he hadn't kicked it earlier. After all, he's been Il for some time.

Gone, Yes. But who knows what the future will hold and what the replacement leaders will be like. ;)
-
Who do you guys think will take over? Kim Jong Un or the uncle?
-
I wouldn't mind filling his spot. I'd turn it into a furry utopia. Where do we put our names in the hat?
-
Glad to see him gone, but I expect his son that is replacing him will be even worse.
-
Regardless of who runs the country, that country isn't going to change it's ways any time soon. :P

"At this point, I'm not sure what's left for me to do, really," he said. "I mean, according to the Ministry of Information, Dad hit 11 holes-in-one the first time he ever played golf. I'm dead serious. Dad had never even picked up a golf club before, and he hit 38 under par. Where am I supposed to go from there?"
-
Yayyyyy! Even though not much is going to change.

Why do they always look so unhappy?
Every single picture of a dictator I've seen looks like someone peed in their cheerios that morning. If I had absolute dictatorial power over even a small country I'd have such a big smile on my face. Like I won the lottery.

Well they ARE the ruthless leader of the country. Maybe the chef DID indeed pee in his cheerios? I would.
