Disappearing images

For some reason, a lot of images simply don't show up, period. And this only seems to be limited to external images, such as image links in image tags, or avatars; just minutes ago, I loaded a thread, and TaoxFox's avatar loaded up, then flashed out of existence!

Using firefox 3.6.8

I going to have to say this is a problem with FF. I got the same issue when using version 3.6.6 (FF just updated to 3.6.8 and it's still there for me too).
However the issue did not occur on IE8 or Opera 10.60.

Hmmm... I should test it out on FF4b2 then.

Oh, on a related note, I think it may be also related to the problems I'm getting on this forum; http://www.neurohack.com/transcendence/forums/ (ironically I'm an admin there  :P), the problem being that when reading threads, occasionally I get a white screen with black text; the text is just the page source, which firefox does not render. Have you ever seen anything like that before on firefox?
