So I tried to get into chat but when it pulls up the chat box it goes white and says "error click for details" and so I clicked it and this is what it said:

I believe the most recent version of java does cause problems with the web browser version of the IRC. Perhaps you could download something like Icechat or yaaic (the two programs I use and can personally recommend) or some other IRC client. They generally aren't hard to set up.

So i have Icechat. Now what do I do with it?

If anybody else is having this issue, I just put up a tutorial (http://forums.furtopia.org/furtopia-org-services-support/java-errors-with-web-client-for-irc-read-here!/) for how to fix it if you do not want to go about configuring a dedicated client. But IMO a dedicated IRC client is the way to go :P
