I just realised...look at that pic. Did Kalo just give me his stash!?

Silly, silly McMajik. Kalo would never be so rash. That's only like seven shelves right there. Kalo has an entire warehouse full.

Okay, it's August 1st now and that means the 3 month contract with Pringles is now over. We had some good, tasty times and I got a lot of chips passed out to everyone.

Now it's back to Classic Kit Kats everyone! But every now and then I'll pass out some pringles if someone does something really deserving of them. As usual the 5th Avenue bars are reserved for the best of the best events in the furry community here in Furtopia and for WS because he does such good, hard work to keep this place going.

I've also got something else in mind too regarding handing candy out as a reward for some of our members here.

Hello once again everyone. I've got something fun that we can try out.

We all know how I pass out candy here and there, mostly to our new members, and I was thinking; what if I passed out more? And for other reasons than "I'm new! Hello!"?

This is the result of my idea, hope you all enjoy it and lots of fun can be had from it.

Kit Kats: Used for greetings and small accomplishments.

Can of Pringles: Accomplishments that help the furry fandom or improve Furtopia.

Peanut Butter Cups: Major accomplishments that help the fandom and Furtopia.

Two 5th Avenue Bars: The highest acheivement so far. Given to those who help their fellow man and fur alike. This can include but is not limited to; Going above and beyond the duties of your job here or going out of your way in RL to help the fandom and/or Furtopia, Providing great art at discounts to help financial burdens on those who want to commison but cannot afford it, organising furmeets that also do some good in their neighborhoods.

Of course none of this is written in stone, nor holy writ and as such is open for change. Also so that candies aren't based entirely on my own opinions I'd like others to PM about things they feel deserve candy. I'll look over the post and based on the views and opinions of the sender about why they think it deserves a candy I'll send the proper one.

Here are some guidelines: You can only nominate posts here on Furtopia forums, You must say in your PM why you think the poster deserves a candy. ("Because I like them" or "They're my friend" are not adequite reasons. It's okay if they're your friend as long as that is not your reason for nominating them.)

Also, I know I use the word 'nominate' but this is not a contest! I cannot stress that enough. This is not, in any way, shape or form a contest. If I see anyone behaving rudely or being mean about getting candy I'll stop immediately. This is just for fun and laughs and if neither are had then it needs to go away. It's okay if you joke around and laughs are had all around but be respectful okay?

Hope you all like this and give me feedback on it.

Well Texas is a nice place to live. I've lived in this state all my life, though I have visited Florida and a few states in between, I've passed through nashville TN but for the most part it's all been in Texas.

I enjoy it a lot, though the summers are horrendously hot. :( I'm a cold natured person so I don't enjoy strong summers. I love the fall and the past couple of days here have been extremely wet and cold, my kind of weather.

If I could live anywhere else? Washington state. There are lots of forests there and I love the woods, WA is also said o be very rainy and have a steady temp ranging from the mid 80s to low 50s or thats what I've been told anyway. And that kinda of weather sounds very appealing to me.

But I'll admit, I do miss tropical areas now and then, I was born on Galveston Island so I enjoy the look of palm trees and despite my cold nature there have been times when I rather enjoyed the summer at the beach. The Gulf of Mexico is a prime tourist vacation spot in summer and looks very nice at almost any time of day.

The western part of Washington is pretty close to what you've been told (though winter is more like mid 30s to the 50s) while the part east of the Cascade mountains is commonly in the 90s in summer and well below freezing in winter. (Also not many trees east of the Cascades except in the mountains.)

Do you like waffles?

(and are you really as immune to cuteness as you claimed in the other thread?)

Yeah waffles are alright, but i actually prefer chicken strips for breakfast. I'm a predator afterall.

For the most part I am immune to cuteness, yes.

Wow, a shroudwolf huh? I've never heard of that but the description of it makes it all the more interesting and awesome. I'm just a purple kirin with a blue mane and white foreleg fur. I don't ever draw it when I decide to doodle myself but I've got moss and vines growing from my mane and between my scales along my back. I can't do anything really special besides hide myself in the vines. On the other hoof my horn glows a different color depending on my mood, a rather thick tail, and I've got a lot of sharp teeth. (I'm a walking mood ring! YAY!) Anyways, nice to meet you and I hope that if I see you it is on pleasant and friendly terms <3
The echoes in my head, the voices what had they said, whispers in my ear, turn around there's no one here..
listen close to every heart and hear that breaking sound, hopes and dreams are shattering apart and crashing to the ground...

I'm going to post this here because I feel this attempt was so fullied with fail it does not deserve a topic devoted to it.

I'm talking about the new V.

It was godawful and if you enjoyed the old series and saw the new one you'd know what I'm talking about.
They started with a one hour episode that had things going by so fast that they actually managed to cram about half the original series plot into a single hour.

:P  ugh, it makes me disgusted thinking about it.

The saddest part is that I was looking forward to it, yes I know, fan made stuff is always so full of 'devotion' for the source material it often falls short of being anything more than a big line of references to the original stuff. Guess I have yet to properly learn my lesson.

The thing that irks me most is that they did everything so quickly and so fast and got so many good plot aspects out of the way as fast as possible so the makers of this V could show off all their new ideas and plans for the series.
You don't do that in a series, not even in a miniseries. You do that stuff in a movie.

And you know what? If this had been the first hour in maybe a 2, 21/2 hour long V movie, i might not have had such an issue with it. I'd probably be dissapointed they didn't make it into a long running series with building subtle plot points and character development, but at least I wouldn't feel as betrayed.

To take a good sci-fi story like this and cram about half of it into a single hour for a tv series is just abominable, but it could've worked had they been trying to make a movie, if they can put that much of the story into a full hour they can finish the rest off in an hour and a half no problem.

psst, Kobuk, become a shroud. We get to stay the same but change a lot. And you get to stay up all night drinking coffee in old diners sawping stories with truckers!

Is this true? What's the deal with truckers and shrouds?
Both are out rather late into the night. So why not have a cup of joe and chat awhile?
