X-Box for me!

Last year when I was shopping the deciding factor between the two was definitely the fact that the X-Box has an internal hard drive to save game on, while the PS2 you have to buy memory sticks.

However, if the consoles were identical PS2 would have had the edge on games.  I've just started getting into adventure games and the selection in PS2 is enormous.  The most recent one I played on X Box was Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban.  I beat it in only two days with less than 8 hours of play.  It didn't seem that big.  I heard that in PS2's Genosaga if you have a walk through sheet it takes 18 hours to go through it from beginiing to end.

What I like about the game selection in X Box is the best racing games.  Project Gotham 1 + 2 ROCKS!

I have thought about this a little too. What's your favorite video game system? Please, I do not want a system war on this poll, just an indifferent discussion. Please tell why you like your system if you want to, but don't compare it to another system, please. For me, hard to decide... I like Nintendo a whole lot.
I tried to put in the systems with the greatest impact. sorry if yours isn't here.

Super Nintendo is probably my favorite system. Some of the very best games of all time are for the SNES.
But Playstation and X-Box are also my favorites....

Playstation 2. Dreamcast was my favorite for a while, then I really got into all of the great Konami games for PS2, plus they brought the Space Channel 5 PS2 ports over to the US.

The SNES kinda seemed like Nintendo's golden age to me. Chrono Trigger, DK Country, Star Fox, Mario Kart... and the more ROMS I download the more I realize how many other cool games never even made it over to the US, like Tales of Phantasia (semi-related to the recent Tales of Symphonia for GC). Definitely my favorite.

I'm not really into games anymore......but I still love the NES......the games are like 30 cents a piece, so I have more than I can count

I take it as a personal affront there's no Saturn. I have no choice but to bite you!  '<img'>

I choose the Saturn because of sheer weirdability available for it... heck, it had some decent releases nobody saw. Suikoden anyone? Super Tempo?....

My favorite isn't on there... my absolute fave system of all time is the Sega Saturn.  Yes, it was a big flop... but some of my favorite games of all time was on that system.

From that list I chose my second favorite... the Sega Genesis.

I used to own an N64. Currently have a Gamecube. I'm not "very" into console games, but there are notable mentions *hint* '<img'> I enjoy playing and have to buy a console for. I still enjoy all the Mario (including Mariokart) and Zelda games. Super Smash Bros, Beyond Good and Evil, F-ZeroGX, etc.

Super Nintendo, Nintendo 64, Gameboy, Dreamcast, Genesis(yes I spelled it wrong as a choice), Classic NES, and Gamecube are what I own. My favorite system would be Gamecube for it's innovative games, it's fast AND powerful, and it's easy to scoop into a bag to take over to someone's house. Yes, the Sony systems are missing. I always found really cool games on Nintendo. The best things that suit my interest on Playstation and Playstation 2 may be on Gamecube or they are some kind of cool adventure game, like Jak and Daxter. Yep, the Gamecube is a hit for me.

PS2 for being the first ever major console with backwards compatibility.

That and the fact that its greatest competitor, the Nintendo Gamecube, has mostly games which... Well, I don't want to start a flame war by saying this, but apart from the really obvious StarFox makeover, it looks like they just recycled most of the N64 games (which I love, but not enough to buy more than once) and reformatted them.  Don't get me wrong- I love N64 just as much as I like PS1, but I can't play N64 games on the Gamecube; PS2 is like two systems in one.  '<img'>
