Well, after I started using Alexandre, I realized that Americans can almost never pronounce it right;

Wait, let me try to figure this out...

Al-ex-ahh-nd-ra?
Al-ex-and-ray?

If the pronunciation is Spanish-like, my guess is:

al-ay-HAN-druh

It looks so much like "Alexander"; that's what I thought it was for my first couple of months here...

The first time I realized how to actually pronounce your name was when you spelled it out in that story you wrote about the alien abduction thing. Wait... that would have been like, a year ago that you wrote that? Wow, time has gone by fast...

Before reading that, I had figured that you were going for something other than Alexander cause of the spelling. So I was basically reading it as a mash up of 'Alex' and 'Andre'. I tend to just read it as Alex anymore though. Easier on my brain...

My improv comedy troupe is starting professional performances tonight!  I advertised on the street this morning, and I'll be out there in the afternoon, too.  Fursuiting while advertising gets a lot of attention; I even got a big rig to honk at me.

Well, it was about 8:00 AM, so it wasn't quite too toasty yet.  Also, there was a bit of a breeze.

I'll be out there later today, but hopefully there will be some shade.  It definitely gets hot, but a little shade makes a huge difference. o.o

Bad Advice -- a Facebook video showing people in a panel giving advice.  I'm the only guy in it, so I'm easy to find. ^_~

Pastiege part 1 -- a group of scenes made up on the spot.  I'm wearing the stripedy sweater.  This video has a weird watermark and a horizontal green line that makes everything squishy.  I'm not the one who put it up, so don't blame me. <.<

On another note, today, I discovered that Wal-Mart is not so fursuit friendly.  I was, erm... kicked out... <.<

Alex, Never go to WM in suit. Never. And that goes for everyone else, too. WM is just plain evil.  I've read too many horror stories of fursuiters or other costumed people getting kicked out or worse. If I may ask, What did they say or do to you? Were the cops called?

Nah, just a manager came up to me and very seriously said, "Sir, take that head off or I'm going to escort you out of here."  I'm not gonna mess with management, so I took the head off.  Then I felt really awkward and went back to the car to wait for my friends.

I do know a lot of the management there, so it's possible I could contact them in advance just to ask permission.  However, there probably are some places that are a bit safer and better to do it, anyway. ^^;

So I was advertising for the improv show as Digby again, and a hearse honked at me.

Looks like the Logan Arthouse and Cinema has some good plans for me, anyway.  They may do a video / series of videos of Digby to advertise, some of them beating me up (apparently).  It's character abuse, yes, but they think it could be effective advertising.  Also, the manager is planning to do a huge mural on the side of the building of different people around the town (each person paying to get their face put up); Digby is likely to show up there, as well.

Anyway, it's kinda cool that, little by little, I'm starting to feel like a community celebrity.  It's nothing big yet, but I love to see people wave and honk while passing on the street.
