O.o? Okay, I don't know what was there earlier, but I was only trying to help and was unaware of the changes myself, I only just managed to read about them.

No, the post was a very caustic and rash opinion. Ziel has undoubtedly taken a quote of it, he was quoting something earlier.

If you'd have read the posted url you'd have known why. That was the point Kobuk and myself were trying to make.

Can someone close this thread?
The point is moot now, I've been approved as the first official game-master.
-
I'm going to go ahead and leave it open in case anyone has similar questions.

Does the same rules apply to a 1 x 1? Seeing as how it's usually discussed after it's been posted I don't see how that would now be allowed. Like you now have to describe this and that in great detail as soon as you post it.

I don't see a reason that a 1 x 1 RP cannot have or wouldn't require pre-planning. The new rules apply to all RPs on the forums.
-
I'm not saying it wouldn't. :P just that its can be a case of 'who wants to do a 1x1 with me and collaborate an idea.'
-
Yeah.... 1x1s that I'm comfortable with have hardly any structure beyond time period and characters. "Clearing Skies, Rising Sun", my 1x1 with sledge, has become so intricate, and its totally free form. We didnt plan it besides "hey want a 1x1?" "Sure, lets use so and so with so and so." "Sure, fine." I feel that a lack of rigid structure is what makes a 1x1 so informal and comfortable.

All roleplays need to follow the rules, but not every thread made in the RP section once you have GM status needs to be a roleplay. It can be a topic about role-roleplay or a thread looking to RP with someone else 1v1 (like in a PM.) And once you have a general idea where the story is going and what's happening you can post it as an official one.
Remember, You need to be able to show you have a general idea where things are going when you make the application and send it in for GM status. But what you actually post in a Roleplay shouldn't have the whole story spelled out for everyone to see. That's just for the staff in the application.
But you'll still need to have a setting, a basic idea what's happening in the world for the story, a list of rules, and a character sheet, and whoever starts the roleplay is the one responsible for it if rules are broken in it too often and it doesn't get reported to staff.
Hope this helps.
