didnt really seem like a "furry" book when i read it, just semed like a metaphor for an occurence in history. It was depresing ':p'

I have never read the book but I saw the movie and I was really really FREAKED OUT I actually had nightmares for a while after seeing it.

I'm in a theater proiduction of it atm

it's quite amusing so far....I have to sing a great deal of stuff....it's also quite depressing and violent in some places

.....we will probably need a lot of fake blood for one scene X3

i really need to read it... i loved orson wells 1984... I mean it is quite possibly my favorite book of all time ... and ive been told that i would more than likely love that book... im working on Farenheight 451 right now '<img'>

Read it way back in the day, I wanna say 8th grade? Anyways, I thought it was a really good read, and yes, many connections in there to government, politics, and corruption. The creepiest part is just how true that book is, applied to human life.

I actually really enjoyed the story back when I read it in 6th grade.  At that point I didn't know what communism yet was, having the book leaving me with a lot of questions.  "Did Snowball REALLY do all that bad stuff?"

It's kinda scary in a way, but aside from the politics aspect of it it's a wonderful story with a grim message.

BTW  when you guys were talking about the movie, did any of you mean the cartoon version of it or the later made live action?

The cartoon (this version http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Rqko1yNUv5I ) was said to be England's first animated feature released worldwide.  It has a much darker ending to it compared to the live action, but you don't get to know the characters as well as you do in the live action.
