I am an avid minecrafter and am a fan of many youtubers including, but not limited to,
Captainsparklez, Antvenom, and Mr.bloxfox2000.

i bought the game a day before it turned to beta so iv been around for quite awhile. been on many servers, built many things, had bad experiences (brother's friends destroying my stuff in our servers), but also had good experiences.
out of all the games iv played minecraft might have been the on that has influenced my life the most. helped me get used to jerks (brother's friends), helped me find the furry fandom, and first time i actually started to talk to people online on different servers.
i have been thinking about playing it again but currently my house is being remodeled so its difficult to use my computer, also have been dealing with school which prevents me from maintaining a server for friends to play on.
-
You know, minecraft is now on the PS3 so, it might be easier to play that, or there's always the pocket edition.

i prefer pc/mac for pretty much everything. dont like consoles that much due to the amount of space they take up and the limitations on what they can do. i also prefer keyboard over controller, the controller is pretty nice when it comes to having every button close by and for enclosed spaces, but keyboard and mouse offers a larger amount of key binding to better suit your play style, and comes handy in pvp due to being able to easily control your camera speed by how fast you move the mouse (and if you have a nice mouse buttons on the side to adjust sensitivity) unlike where in consoles where you are kinda stuck with one speed (unless you want to go all the way into settings)
tho one thing i am kinda jealous about is how consoles get all these special skin packs that are 3d (unlike the pc's version where the hat/jacket/pants is just a flat pixel that is over the body) tho of course in the pc version you can actually make your own skin and have a unique character unlike the consoles where you buy pre-made skins.
kinda surprised on how many platforms minecraft is being put on, they are making alot of money on this game. notch recently sold mojang to microsoft tho so he isnt making any money off it but why would he, he just took all $2.5billion and ran (would have liked to see some of it given to the developers but sadly notch owned all of mojang's shares)

I definitely agree with you on that last point!
-
Wild do you happen to have a Ps3? if so I can add you.
-
Yes but I don't have an Ethernet cable. And, no Ethernet cable, no PSN, no PSN, no online multiplayer :'(.
I'll let you all know when I get one hooked up so we can all do some survival together! Ok?
-
K sounds cool but you'll mostly see me on Black Ops 2 or sometimes Shadow of Mordor.
-
Sounds neat I think I might like to try one of those one time!
-
I play the crafts off and on every now and then
-
I love the game dynamics of minecraft and the open sandbox gameplay, it instills sense of freedom in me!
-
I'm a Minecrafter Furry! Though I play on the PS3, and I don't really get involved with it on forums/YouTube. I generally keep to myself and a couple of other friends about it.
-
I'm on PS3 too, but I don't have a PSN account.
-
Awesome. I'm currently in the process of rebuilding my house in my personal world. I couldn't get the roof down right, so I'm tearing the entire house down and rebuilding it.
-
On Pocket Edition, my bro and I are creating whole provinces in a world.
It's actually pretty cool!
-
Can minecraft servers cross platforms/consoles? It looks like quite a few furs here play and I'd consider hosting an furtopia minecraft server. I don't have a PS3 and would have to play on the PC.
-
I'll be setting up a 27/7 password protected server soon...

I don't think that you can. Though it'd be cool if it was possible
-
I agree it would! :D

I'm an occasional Minecrafter. Although my interests go more into mining and exploring, I do very little actual building of my own - more gather resources for other people to build with.
-
Sweet!

pretty much the same thing i do. i never really build homes or things like that but roads, canals, bridges, walls, trenches are what i build quite a bit.
so exploration or town planing is what i usually do
-
I'm currently in the process of making a little community thing. I already have three houses (including my own), a storage building, a doghouse and half of a library
-
well im planing on starting another server (pvp this time) no faction plugins just complete chaos (which will most likely lead to the world looking like a mess) might have kids from my school in it too. being not much of a fan of the getting your base destroyed part of pvp im kinda cheating and building a bed rock wall around my team's base (only when i go offline tho)
might be awhile till i start this server up due to school stuff/organizing my room (1 week at least) but if any one is into plain vanilla pvp (PC) there might be room in the server. things in the server will get pretty interesting if i could get people on furtonia on it. kids from my school will attack everyone, my team will remain on defense, and furtopians would be running around hunting kids from my school.
not sure if i would constantly run this server tho due to the amount of servers iv had in the past that i shut down (mostly due to not being able to be in the server due to being to tired to do anything after school) well anyway i might be starting a server and if you would like to attempt to keep the peace dealing with kids from my school then we might have a interesting war going on.

Very cool! But I have no PC account, I just have a game opener (pre 1.6) x_x no add-ons , just pure minecraft!
And it's awesome!!! My brother (not a fan of anything furry) and I have collaborated to build:
An 18 block tall by 195 blocks long by 5 blocks thick wall and are still working on a castle inside with a little town to boot! I even built a guild base in the wall! We plan to create many more castles like this one, within walking distance with roads interconnecting them! It's going to be an absolutely massive build! It has taken us since this time last YEAR to get to this point! It would really suck if the save got corrupted!
-
create back ups if you have been working for that long. a corrupted world save messed with my last server which ended up starting a new world (spawned in a few items from the last one tho)
-
Ok, I'll try to make backups!
-
That would be awesome, if only I had a PC account...

It seems crazy that servers can't host multiple platforms. I know enough about computer science to believe it could be done, but admit there's a lot I don't know.
I tried researching if minecraft servers can go across platforms, but didn't find any useful information. I know the PC servers can go across mac, linux, and winders (and anything else that can run java for that matter).

its mostly due to the console versions having completely different updates/features. also its highly possible its and attempt to make more money by making people have to pay for a different version to play with a friend.

Yes! I did some more research and found out that a different company built the PS/Xbox versions, and yeah, they're outdated versions of Minecraft compared to PC versions. It's also run on the PS-Network, or the XBoxLive network. Ah well.

I play minecraft :3. From all the games i play i play like 60-70% minecraft. One reason is that i like to build stuff without no limitations and the power of redstone interests me.
I'm currently operator in one 30-50 players server (depends on time). The server which i "work" for has a forum. But there are few rebels which try to "overthrow" the server even though the server is the only thing what connects them...... Well that's the one of the reason i came here :D Because the rebels they don't want to understand things they just want to see the world burning.
(It's not a V.I.P server so even if you have money you are no better than another)
If you like to know redstone stuff I'm more than happy to help you :3
PS. The server is international but still there are 99% of Finnish people (mc.trueworlds.net)
PPS. If you ever for some reason want to talk with me you can come to TeamSpeak3 channel (ts.trueworlds.net) :D

hey i have ps3 minecraft and i need more psn friends to play with so hey add me at danielborders and lets minecraft it up
-
I would play mine craft again but my toaster of a laptop doesn't like it...yet it let's me play warcraft just fine...figure that out.
-
Warcraft was designed for older "toaster" systems, and minecraft was built with newer computers in mind is my best guess. :P :D
-
Yeah ok I'll give you that one.
-
It seems that whenever I make an awesome world, it ends up being deleted. I haven't been playing Minecraft (PC version) in years ever since that day I accidentally poured lava on my farm...creative mode needs an undo-redo button. I've looked closer into the mod-making business, so Minecraft could be a little more fun for me.
-
I'm a fairly avid Minecrafter myself.
I enjoy both hunting for resources and building with them. Monster hunting is pretty fun too.
You could consider me a sort-of PC-purist ever since my 8-year-old cousin was able to hunt me down and beat me in combat (on the PS3). Those L3/R3 buttons are killer. Every time I try to attack, I accidentally switch the viewpoint.
