I see some folks with little pictures in their signitures, how do I do that?

I think you have to put it like this:
[ IMG ] http://your_image_url_goes_in_here [ /IMG ]
be sure to delete all spaces '<img'>

You do as Serra_belvoule posted in the appropriate section of your control panel. Please do remember that there are restrictions to what is allowed and how big the pic/banner can be:

If your image exceeds these limits, it will like be removed from your signature. Why is this done? It is done for the sake of modem users' bandwidth since they have enough to download as it is with the board pages and related graphics. Additionally, it becomes very ungainly to see a large picture repeated several times down the page that contains any given thread. I recommend using the larger image as your 'personal photograph' in your profile instead.
