Thanks to a minor incident involving a throwing knife, my friend from boy scouts, and a tree...
I am now missing a large chunk of my shoulder.
I lost a lot of blood as well as my bladder control for a brief moment.

If that's true, then how is it that you're here and able to type a post?  *skepticle*

I type right handed primarily
The knife hit my left shoulder

Water main broke in my street in front of my apartment complex this morning. Luckily, I had enough time to take a shower before the water got turned off.

We been hearing this since  1980's  yest no proof.  Hockey stick flaws.  Global warming models flaws. The bad news is more alarmist and demand to push humanity to a dystopian society

There is a lot of evidence for human impacts on the environment, yes it is leading to destruction, but i don't think it really endangers us as a species, just many other species in different locations not frequented by us. Out of sight out of mind is what it seems. You could fill halls with the papers and evidence, and people are welcome to believe what they want to believe, but out of sight out of mind only lets things escalate.

There could be a few reasons for people feeling like this.

Psychological: The consequences of climate change are too awful to contemplate. Therefore, we're denying the issue, as we used to deny monsters in the room by hiding under the blanket. If you don't look at it, it can't look at you.

Economic: The costs of a large-scale effort to fight global warming are too steep to bear. Therefore, we're trying to ignore the issue, or pretending it doesn't exist, or we believe that the economy (including development) is more important.

Political: The fact that Democrats are always hammering on about climate change and Republicans aren't suggests that this is a political issue, not a scientific one. This creates a feedback loop: if climate change were real, why is it so polarising? Because it's so polarising, it must be slightly suspicious.

Epistemological: Why should we believe in climate change? Where's the evidence? All we know is what scientists say, and scientists are sometimes wrong. Then again, scientists also got murdered hundreds of years ago for claiming that the world wasn't actually flat.

Just had someone at work try and "convince" me that they should be getting their room for $50 cheaper than what they're paying at the moment. Yelling, saying the person who took their reservation lied, they deserve free things now, etc...

They stopped once I let them know I could see that they themselves made the reservation at the correct (higher) rate themselves.

This makes the fifth person this week who has tried just walking up and demanding a lower rate because "there must be some mistake". My bet is that some newspaper or talk show put out a list of helpful holiday travel tips that suggests just demanding lower rates from the poor front desk person.

What is it about the holidays that makes people so mean?

Never turn down tea if it's offered. It's impolite and that's how wars start.

I had to cancel rock climbing with friends because there's going to be a heatwave in Australia. It's gonna be 41 Degrees Celsius (105.8 Fahrenheit) on the day that I had it planned.

UUUUGHHHHH once again school plans change. One of my classes just got cancelled, and there's nothing else to fill in the gap where it was. I guess I'll just have to squeeze that class into one of the semesters when I'm just taking a spanish class.
