I have finally completed the "Basic Fur Texture Tutorial" , it can be found from the main page of my site, here:

I created to help those intrested in the basics of fur texture, using the simplest technique i used with Adobe's photoshop.
I hope it is of some help to those interested in the topic *

Wow this is one heck of a toturial you made! I dont have Photoshop 'with' me at the moment cause i use Corel Photo-Paint, but i'm going to try and somehow do what you have done with Corel and see how it turns out. If not I'll dig up Photoshop. But great stuff you posted up!

Thanks * ...Corel Draw and Painter will work aswell, but you may have to play with different settings. hope the tutorial can help you in anyway *

kick butt tutorial, i just finished a chimera in lightwave i'm just dying to test it on, i'll post you the results if you like,but thanks for the tutorial it was just what i was looking for

*Big smiles* , I hope it somthing everyone can use to help in some way. I been working on the tutorial since last spring, but had it on hold over the summer. I intended to build it as easy to understand as i could, in the simplest form.
