Hello all,
So it turns out watchers can make themselves one of these threads, leave it to the sleeping fox to find that out long after he became a watcher, but I digress. I believe I'm the most recent watcher to furtopia, although not recently made one x3
I do mostly that though, watch over the forum, checking in and out of threads, answering polls, and posting occasionally, but I guarantee you, I will see you
o.o
O.O

(o) . (o)
So a bit about myself, I'm an arctic fox, be it anthro or feral, and I'm the sleepy master of dreams, and builder of prosthetic tails for those furies unfortunate enough to lose their's somehow. I've also lived all over the east coast and midwest, but recently moved to Alaska for college(love it up here btw ^.^ nothing like -40 to wake you up in the morning, or instantly put you to sleep ._.)
So, whats up guys : 3
-
*hides in snow*
Can you see me now? =P
-
*sees the snow mound*
*nods*
I see where you are o.o
and that's good enough >: 3
-
*Hides in his admin office* Oh! =D
-
Can you see me..NOW!?
Where in the Midwest have you lived :o?
-
hi!
Why is everyone hiding? >.>
-
Oh crap! How did we forget to tell you this? :D Sorry, sorry! Yeah, you've been free to create your own thread in here for the past forever, but it just totally slipped our minds!
*pouncetackles you into the snow* :) So tell us more about Alaska! I remember you posted pics once, but I want to hear more about what it's like.

haha, yeah, no one ever mentioned it to me o.o
that and i kinda figured you needed to be higher level staff than a watcher ^.^;; lol
oh wells.
eeeeep
*is tackled into a snowdrift sending a poof of snow onto everyone*
hehe ^.^
ok, for one, Alaska is HUGE!!!!
like i said in the recent thread, driving 300 miles to pick up a friend in another town, which would normally be at least 1 other state away, is normal distance up here.
just driving the highway, btw we have like 3 x3, and stoping in the middle between to cities and on the side of a mountain and looking around, you dont see ANY human civilization for hundreds of miles. It's beyond amazing, it really is, everyone thats lived up here has no idea what they have. and those in the lower 48 have no idea what open country really is.
as for weather, how does walking between classes and your breath freezes to your facial hair halfway to the other building sound?
blowing soap bubbles and they freeze before they hit the ground x3
-
Well this is quite recent. When did you become a watcher? >>
-
If I recall it was back in september actually >.>
-
*finds a better hiding place* >.>
-
acording to the time stamp on my watcher invitation
Watcher position.

I am so envious of you for living there. :) I want to go to Alaska so badly and experience someplace entirely, 100% untouched by human hands. For a while now, I've been wanting to backpack through one of those Alaska national parks where there are no roads and no trails and where you have to be airlifted in just to reach the outermost edges. That seems like it would be just unreal.
My brother is training to be a pilot, so maybe he'll get a job as a bush pilot in Alaska and fly me around for free. :D

to be an alaska bush pilot you lituraly have to be the best, theres no chances up here, like some of my friends parents are pilots and one of them WONT fly people anywhere unless they have a gun, encase they crash somewhere.
it gets crazy x.x

Its always been my dream to go to Alaska. I wish I could talk one of my friends into making the trip. One day though... I'll get there. I'd definately go in summer though... I have enough winter here to last a lifetime. It sounds soooo amazing.

.

well, my second part of winter vacation starts for me tonight, flying out to seattle to spend a week with lawrence (used to be a member here) so i wont be online as often and my watching ability will diminish, and after a week their i spend a week in pittsburgh, i'll be able to get online more there though.
-
I'm back ^.^
well, not like i was ever truly gone : P
-
So did you have a nice vacation? 8)
-
mhmm ^.^
got to expereance weather i havnt seen in a long time o.o
rain of all things lol, thank you seattle ^.^
-
Mark me envious. As a canadian, texas holds little appeal to me. Thank god I'm moving back this summer if my parole gets deffered.
-
x.x
omg i miss my arctic home so much.
i've been in pittsburgh visiting family and going to Anthrocon, and wow, i miss fairbanks...
nice and small, yet with everything i need. all really close and free to get to using the bus.
pittsburgh's huge and the buss routes are complicated X.x
im trying ti figure them out so me and wolven(another furry that went to AC with me) can make it to the zoo tomorrow.)
i miss the clean air(as clean as forest fire air can get) and amazing view(like 300 miles of wilderness to the mountains) and the people too.
*looks to the sky in a homesick kinda way*
-
Isn't it weird how some time away can make your old home not feel like home anymore? I had that experience recently when I went back to visit my parents in the suburbs. I felt genuine culture shock going back there. I don't think I want to live in a suburban environment ever again.

mhmm, it hit me pretty hard when i was at Anthrocon down town, everything just felt, grimy, that nasty city feeling, like old concrete and steel. made me miss the wilderness by my home up in fairbanks all the more.

heading to kodiak alaska for a week to stay with a friend, much hiking and beach combing will be had. also very little computer usage x.x

well guys..
after a few weeks of thought and watching my own activity I'd like to resign as a global mod.
I feel I'm very much under-utilizing my position.
I'm sorry i haven't been as useful as originally thought, but its just not in me for this kinda thing.
sorry guys : /
I'll still be here as a member, just sitting in sidelines doing my usual thing.
