The claim has been put forth that furries want to be added to the LGBTQ community. It's probably some sort of attempt at humor on the part of Gutfield (https://youtu.be/ikY1jFqvrBU) to fill airtime. It's projection on the part of commentators to suggest that it's something to do with sex. A survey is cited, but no one claiming to represent the fandom is ever interviewed. Besides, there are already sub-groups within the fandom which represent a variety of interests.
