The Places I've Been
« on: January 20, 2009, 11:51:21 pm »
I wrote this while thinking about how lucky I am to be able to see as much of the world as I have.

The Places I've Been

I have seen the rising sun
I have seen it set
I have seen the Cherry blossoms
Floating in the wind

I have seen a country
Torn apart by war
Remnants of the great wall
That stood here dividing all

I have seen the sunsets pride
On white sandy beaches
Here is where stars are made
And build up their riches

I have seen fair Edinborough (sorry for any misspelling :-[)
Where the Queen stood tall
I remember my door
With it's white doorknob

I have seen the western sky
It fills me with much pride
Though I feel a little sad
For it's always dry

I have seen many places
Only one place is my home
I belong in fair Nihon
Where Cherry blossoms soar

Comments and critique are welcome
Sors immanis et inanis (Fate - monstrous and empty)
Estuans interius ira veheminti (Burning inside with violent anger)

Through my travel's I've seen so much but I know, I know its good to be home

Nice, Grim.  I like it a lot.  It sounds great! :D
