I'm not sure if I'm really a lifestyler. I certainly don't think about furry non-stop, but most of the pictures in my home are either anthro or normal animals. My wife and I talk to and about each other as though we were animals, and I'll usually purr at her if we're curled up on the couch watching movies. I never really thought about wearing ears or a tail around here, but mostly because I live in a conservative area dominated by the military.

Ah well, I'm satisfied with who I am anyway.

I think I'm a lifestyler but my fursona is a cat and they can be extremely sneeky. I used to wear a tail all the time but my cats decided to spirit it off to some realm I haven't discovered yet

Thinks it can vary in what lifestyler means a furry. To me its kinda like a vampyre lifestyler as compared to one who conciders themself a vampire. In the former, one adopts the term as a symbol or metaphor and spiritual views often include that symbol. For me as a lifestyler, furry is mainly a spirit thing that also affects me in how acts & views. I feel I look with animal rather then human specific eyes. The who attitude just feels right to me for me. But at same time some feel lifestyler means just active pretend of being something while recognizing its pretend. But not letting that awareness get in the way. Either views ok with me. If one somehow participates in being a furry thats kewl with me. Even if their difinition is dif.

I feel pretty much the same way as Arisether and WillowFox. Furry influences decisions on pretty much everything that CAN be influenced by it, I dont have a tail yet, but I would wear it lots if I did... Or, maybe not. Im pretty shy about the whole thing. >> Id freak out if people started asking bagillions of questions. If I could find a collar that would look alright on my freakishly wide neck, I would wear it NON-STOP. ...'Cept for showerin', and stuff, duh. o_O Because anything wearing a collar is automatically adorable. ...I tried putting on my dog's collar once, but it smelled like something he'd just thrown up, so... yeah. Anyhow, furs are a HUGE part of my life, I DO hold most furre friends closer than my own family (that may sound horrible, but I do o_o; ), and yeah, I would openly admit being furry to anyone (without being extremely flamboyant about it). So yeah, I'm a lifestyler, I'd say. :3 Plenty of spiritual stuff ties into this too, and I'm not too sure on the defintion of a Were, but I think I go that far. =P

You could ask, "What makes you goth?"

"Well, I dress in black and listen to Maylin Manson and Rammstien." Â -They embrace the goth culture.

But I have one Marlyin Manson record, and I have some black clothes which I supposed from time to time I could wear all at once but I don't consider myself to be goth. Â Â I do not embrace the goth culture.

I don't wear a tail around everywhere, I go to very few furry gatherings, but I consider myself to be furry as hell. Â I embrace it, but don't wear it on my sleeve.

I really hope furries don't fall into the petty attitude- "I am GOTHER than thou you mad &#$%r's" ':p'

If that happens then I'm going to have to start wearing ears and tails to be accepted, then it's "Where's your fursuit? Â Stand and be ready for inspection to pass the furry test you primate-luvin dirtbag!"

Hell with that, suck the fun right out of it.

Lifestylers to me are people that take furry to the extierm they claim to be a real furry or animal/human. They dress like an animal, kind of like a transexal dresses as the other sex. No ufece to tran's. But thats the best why I can put it in my terms.

My fursonal definition is tking you furryness into RL which chould be done in many ways some more extreem than others.

Lifestylers...hrmm....

People who dress in some way to show their furryness or act in some way to show their furryness. These people are often seen with a tail and/or ears, or a collar (or even a fursuit). Going inside their home you'll see a lot of Furry related items. These peop;e will sometimes bark, meow, howl, (or make other aimal noises), or perhaps do a normal thing like an animal would (I, for example, have the ability to scratch behind my ear with my foot)

I pretty much recently got really into furrydom enough to consider myself one, and I can easily see myself becoming a "lifestyler." My furriness is already on my mind in one way or another pretty much all the time now.
