When the fur takes over!
« on: August 02, 2004, 06:30:07 am »
Just wondering has anyone ever had there furriness take over them in completly the wrong place?!?!

Like one time, At the shopping centre i worked at..I was on my lunch break and was looking at the pet shop.. Anyway long story short, this little puppy was jumping around in its pen being all cute and stuff then i barked at it...

A few ppl saw a few more heard.. But one was one of the carpark staff...She sees me all the time and gives me the funniest looks.. Expecially when i was showing my manager the ears which i made for a "Costume party".. Its so funny.. But just its also a little bit embarrising sudenly barking at a puppy in public..

how about the rest of you?

I had to consciously resist meowing a few times during Cats last night, heh.

ESPECIALLY right after the few times in the show where they actually meow. '<img'>

Sometimes if I don't like someone I'll growl under my breath. Sometimes I feel like I most howl at the moon. And I meow at my cats everyday. LOL '<img'>

I tend to growl as well when annoyed. I have a good friend who happens to be a german shep (four legged canine) He belongs to my moms best friend and each time I go over we have a traditional greeting ceremony with lots of howling and canine chatter.
I dont see many horses face to face but when I do theres always the nose touch with breath exchange.
I never really mind if anyone sees.

This happens to me relatively often.  I get chided by the family for it quite often, though thankfully they're past the 'OMGWTF' stage and they've entered into the passingly amused stage, took them long enough though one must say.  It manifests itself with me in all manner of ways.  I believe the most recent was an instance of ...

",,,pssst, you're yawning like the Dog again, stop that..."
"Rrr..nngg...Ruuf?  Beg pardon?"
"Oh bloody 'ell.  People 'ill stare, yanno."
"We could not hurt you any more than we could squish the helpless pootworm. We are one with the pootworm. We are one with you. Of course you realize, this means youareone with the pootworm. REJOICE! To be one with the pootworm is to be ALIVE! And why not be alive? Is that not what living is for?"

I'm generally able to control myself in public settings.

It's during the night and in the woods that it becomes harder, and I generally let myself go.

My nickname at the local cinema is Snarl because I have a reputation of growling at the 'bad-guys' in the films. It gets a few laughs from the audience but unless they laugh I never notice what I'm doing. I've also been know to growl at stuck-up shop assistants.

Seems like a lot of people here are growlers, including me.  I growl at people who are buggin' me, sometimes I howl at dogs, some people find that kinda odd in public...

Although sometimes I'll hiss at people too, and I meow to my cats...  Come to think of it, I try to talk to all animals in their... native tongue... I guess.  Everyone thinks I'm crazy...

I meow and talk to my kitten - or i would to any cat that i had in the past.  '<img'>

I'm kinda beginning to also experience making weird 'kat noises as of late.   '' I churred yesterday while making a peanut and butter sandwich. Luckily, noone else was in the house.  '<img'>

And i usually speak to my cat...[I meow, at her.] My parents always hear that, but i don't care. '<img'>

Before my cat got run over I used to meow at him. I growl at people I find annoying, and at inanimate objects I find annoying (games, lunchboxes that won't open.. it amuses my friends to no end "XD Hey Mel, growl for me!" "No. >>")
When people's dogs start barking at me I bark back, or I hiss. But that's just because the dog that always does it is annoying as hell, goes of on a neverending series of yaps like he's all that, and then when you take a step in his direction he splits  '<img'>  That and he bit me. -.-;
Anyway, when I'm alone I whistle at birds too but that doesn't really count as public anymore, I guess.

Hmmm, when I was a wee little brat in 1st grade, I'd RP as being an alien. As in the alien from the alien trilogy.

Yea... I don't bring that up too often for good reasons....

Today while standing in line at the grocery I found myself stamping impatiently, whuffing (blowing air in annoyance), and tossing my head, lol. Very horse-like behavior. '<img'>

'<img'> I'll howl at the moon without care of who hears it. Whilst talking, I always refer to hands as paws or say things like you're pulling my tail.

Sometimes I chow down on food like a wolf would. Head low to the plate, eyes looking about with the occasional ear perking.

''  I pissed on a tree once if that counts for anything.  '<img'>

'<img'>  Diffenetely a bush dog! My mate always giggles at me when I bound through the bushes of a parking lot instead of walking around to the sidewalk.

I'm sure there's more, but I can't think of them at the moment considering it's 0440 in the morning.

Speaking of which...I sleep sprawled out like a wolf too! According to my wife!  '<img'>

If I get genuinly very pissed off at something I will down right snarle at it.  Like when I was having a foot race with someone on a bike, they were beating me (of course) So I yelled "NOOO" which degraded into a the nasty snarle which I greeted my troop with as I rounded teh corner of the building.

I also tend to eat my food fast without even trying.  I'm not sure if that's what 3 years of trying to eat in an extremly short lunch hour or wolf instinct, I dunno  '<img'>   More than once has someone gotten a bark out of me when they surprise me.

I can't say there's anything truly "involuntary" about any of this stuff.  And what's wrong with barking at a puppy?
But yeah... anyway.  I guess my furriness comes out in all the aformentioned ways.  I have recently been referred to as "Tiger" (or sometimes "Tigger" since I work at Disney..even though I'm not  a fan of the guy) and "Kitty" at work, mainly because of my facial expression(s) and or purrs that I tend to forget that I've worked into my speech.

*belch*

Oh yeah, and we mustn't forget about furriness on a date with Kattywampus. . . .  Mr-r-r-r-r-r-reaoowwwllllll!  =^_^=

Howling at the moon can be very satisfying, especially when its a nice full one!  I have a fox laugh that I use in private when I'm elated.  Like many here, I also bark and growl a bit, which my dogs don't know quite how to handle...  '<img'>

When I was angry I grow. One day when I hit my paw in my room's door I say "Oww, my paw!". Lukily on that day I was alone in my house. '<img'>
