Disused Names
« on: July 22, 2018, 06:59:36 pm »
Post first names that may have fallen out of fashion. The ones you seldom see anymore, except perhaps in old black & white movies and television shows.

Example: Adolf
"The coyote is a living, breathing allegory of Want. He is always hungry. He is always poor, out of luck, and friendless. The meanest creatures despise him. And even the fleas would dessert him for a velocipide."~Mark Twain
(Baps the old humorist.)

Bear your soul and take control
If the wolves are howling outside your door
Invite them in and make them beg for more!

Festis, Ichabob, Gretta, Probably not used in the US as much as they are in Europe.
It's been said that rats can gain access to your home by climbing up threw your toilet. I prefer to use the front door.

Hugh. I knew one in school who preferred to be called Bart when Bart Starr was a household name. Since the rise of The Simpsons, you'd think he'd changed it back. Nope.
