For the time being I still have a website hosted at Furtopia thanks to the fact that WhiteShepherd was kind enough to offer me temporary extended hosting at the beginning of the year. Earlier this morning, I attempted to connect to my Furtopia FTP account with my FTP client so that I could access some of my files. Despite repeated attempts, I was not able to connect. While I was trying to connect to my FTP client reported the following messages:
STATUS:> Connect: Saturday 05:31:33 10-01-2011
STATUS:> Connecting to ftp.furtopia.org

As of the time of this writing, when I try to ping ftp.furtopia.org all of my requests time out, and I get 100% packet loss.
Is Furtopia's FTP server down by accident or by design? Would some kind administrator please look into this issue for me? It could be something as simple as an incorrect DNS record or something like that that needs to be updated. I was able to successfully connect and use my Furtopia FTP account as recently as two-and-a-half-months ago, so this issue must be relatively new. Normally, I would PM WhiteShepherd first about an issue like this instead of posting it here because he used to be the go-to guy to handle these sorts of things, but I have been trying to PM him repeatedly with other questions since July with no response, so I am posting this latest technical issue here first in case somebody else is in charge of these sort of technical issues now. I would greatly appreciate it if you would please look into this for me, and hopefully the problem will be something simple that can get fixed quickly!
