Otherwise, I chew-up spent saxophone reeds (bamboo = tasty) fingernails (mine are almost painfully short, all of the time), the rubbery stuff inside of golf balls (the shells taste like crap. That blue, foamy rubber stuff is da bomb.) and several rolls of dental floss, adequately chewed into shreds of nylon pulp.
I learned at an early age not to chew on power cords.
Oh, and I eat food, too.

I have no idea why, but ever since I was little I've had this habit of chewing on my tongue when I'm nervous/concentrating/pretty much any other time and now my poor tongue is all scarred. Oops...
It's a good thing I don't mind scars. I'm surprised I can still taste things, but I can!I chew on paintbrushes when I'm painting too.
Other then that, I can't think of anything else.

I chew on pens, pencils, a random blank plastic CD that I've been holding forever, styrofoam(Gets EVERYWHERE ), spent popclicle/sucker sticks(before I realize they're spent), anything rubbery, anything small enough to fit into my face, and my blanket/pillow(at night) My last kit tooth actually split in two and fell out when I was gnawing on an iron bolt. Funny, my tooth never grew in straight...

I also chew on my headphone cord _ALL_ the time, roll it around in my teeth, its fun ^!^, but looks really odd. Chewing anything, pens, magazines, bottles while being "that scary guy with the crazy mohawk and all black clothes (soemtimes with a toque with ears on it)at the back of the bus who no one wants to sit near" and have a blank and/or intense evil stare on my face is great...oh..the reactions I get >
PS....dont chew pens....or pastels....The pastel was an accident... o!o

Wow... that is impressive... and probably bad for you. I personally chew on my ski pole handels a lot. then I chew off the clippy things on most or all of my pens, I have flattened a few before chewing them off... yum.

The funny part is, I always drink my coffee black so I don't need to get stirrers. I always do just to chew on later (I usually get 2 at a time). This leads to weird looks when people see me nomming like mad on the stirrers at my desk. I saw one guy looking, so I stopped chewing, smiled big, raised the other paw (one was holding the stirrer as I was pulling on it, shredding it to bits) and waggled my fingers at him before going back to chewing while still looking at him. He just laughed and walked off.
Bad part about coffee stirrers... Plastic leaves a bad taste in my mouth. So, I still have my Altoid addiction.

so I stopped doing that. Along with straws my favorite chew toy right is Halls Sugar Free cough drops. Tastes just like the sugar ones. I love getting them soft and then CRUNCH... I can easily eat a bag in a day if I don't control myself.
Someone seriously should make chew toys for adults with a variety of sugar free flavors (like ice cream, steak, candy, pasta?). Theres a market for it.

Indeed! My brothers and I actually a few years ago when we were kids made up the term "chewy" to represent something you really wanted to chew on, or punch. Usually chewing on the insides of the cheek were good enoguh (stopped that early enough to prevent any serious damage)
But I'm constantly wanting to chew on stuff. I don't because I really don't want to see those items ruined! Things I wanna try chewing:
Styrofoam
Couch cushions
I like chewing on any wood items (better than pencils preferably), like tooth picks! I love chewing those.
Straws. I fold them up and chew on em until I get bored of chewing.

It's called sugar cane.
I bought a piece today and its the best.(you do have to peal off the outer layer though)
It has the best texture and crunchiness to it. Like the best pencil. :) It's really juicy. Plus its just really tasty, and can last a long time before its completely destroyed.

I also discovered a new chew toy, one that's extremely addictive: Magic Rub erasers!
I put the eraser into my oral shelf while I was drawing, and I instinctively bit down upon it repeatedly. Instant addiction! It has the perfect amount of give, as well as a taste that is as nostalgic as its characteristic smell.

You just have to make sure you get the outer layer off before you bite. The inside is where all the juice and texture is at.

K... that being said... I don't have some weird reputation for chewing on things. just I'll catch myself doing it every now and then. i remember a few instances were i ended up with ink all over my face in school from chewing on a pen. I ruined my favorite pair of headphones like that too... I'm trying to watch it before it happens now... Because chewing on duct tape can't be good for you...

I mostly chew on straws when I finish my drink until it is no more.
If i'm not seen chewing straws, its most likely toothpicks, tons and tons of toothpicks. I once chewed up a whole pack of 50 in about half a week. When I'm not chewing it, I just leave it in my mouth and it makes me look cooler 8) Why? Its cheap (free in resteraunts :D) and it comes in packs. Its biodegradable, so I just spit it out on the grass or something when it gets too mushy. :P

I destroy a lot of guitar picks that way. I'll go to play finger-style...and end up gnawing on my picks. Any necklace that is long enough to reach my mouth gets chewed on. Pens and pencils (which is why my friends were very reluctant to loan them to me in school).
I am trying to keep it under control, so I keep candy sitting on my desk to suck on and chew on so that I don't decimate my pencils and such. (:

the rubber jacket for a wii mote is perfect, you can chew and tear at it super hard and it wont rip or get punctured, but there is one draw back, about 5 minutes after chewing on it, you get a bad tast in your mouth
so just have a drink handy :P

lol, its stiff like a real bone, but not super hard so you can make marks on it. it taste kinda like peanuts but not that much. a bit like raw rice. and i got no clue ^^; my friend bought it at his specialty pet store.

I don't have a specific chew toy as such, but I do enjoy to chew on things. Gum is just a minor distraction however, as it is too soft. My real fun comes from frozen gummy worms. Those are freaking fantastic. It takes me forever to gnaw through a handful, a bag laats me a good week or two.
That actually sounds really good. I've got to try that sometime...

It's a squeak toy I got at Comic Con last year. Got it for a couple bucks with my dog in mind, but she didn't take to it right away so I figured I'd keep it on my desk with me. Didn't come with a squeaker so i had to take one from one of my dog's 50 tennis balls.

Pretty much everything. However, we especially like chicken bones, t-bones from steaks, erasers, ear bud cords, aaand a little plastic toy bone we got at a Halloween party forever ago. Our parent keeps trying to break our habit, though, so we end up chewing lots of gum instead. She hasn't been very successful yet, but we are getting a ton of free gum! :DSam here

The basket my girlfriend sent me for my birthday last year has leather straps. She's not a furry, but they're all chewed up from her distracted biting! The world is her chew toy.
