Well, I do whatever comes natural to me. Naturally I'll claw things, nuzzle people I like, meow, etc. just because it's part of being me. Don't be frightened about how you act in public. You should be proud of being a furry. Lifestylers show the public that we are who we are. '<img'>

I do a lot of things without realizing it. When I'm confused or curious I weiner my head to the side, when I'm excited I yip, happy I purr, angry or annoyed I do growl at people. In some cases I will bite.
I also have on-and-off phantom limb syndrome, so I will try to move my tail/wings or perk up my ears and I get really confused when it doesn't work. ':p'
I use a lot of body language and sounds to communicate, and most of my good friends have picked up on it, thank goodness. XD

There are times when I'll wake up in the same position my cat sleeps in - and sometimes I forget I'm human. I also bite people for self defense (yeah, it's gross. I know.) and when I finish my cereal I drink it like a cat - I use my tongue.

I remember doing something similar when I was five or six. Whenever I went to the public swimming pool, every now and then I would pretend I was an alligator or a shark. I guess I would really get into it, because I recall some lifeguards giving me odd facial expressions.

I think everyone's ran up the stairs on all fours at least once.

I almost always run up the stairs on all fours. I've been doing that since I was a little kid... '<img'>

And here I thought I was the only one that did it...

Me too... I do that all the time.

I tend to sometimes growl when I'm mad. The only other furry thing is I can sometimes purr.

well when I look at someone that I don't like or accidently bump into someone I growl at them, sometimes I whimper just like dogs do, and when I'm hot I begin to pant like a dog and of course *raises paw* I to also go up the steps on all 4s

Hmm. Humans legs are considerably longer than their arms. And you were going downhill, you say? That would put you leaning so far foward, and offset center of gravity so much that i dont see how you could even move, much less RUN.

Sure you didnt fall down and try to catch yourself with your hands?

':p' Whenever you bring physics into a discussion about... you know the rest. ':?:' I honestly forgot all about this thread. '' I'm tending to wrestle with my dog more, but I think that's kinda common.

~EDIT~ By the way, my arms are the same length as my legs, minus the feet.

Oh lucky. That way when you go on all fours you don't have your bum sticking up. XD

Rest of us have to bend our knees a little to avoid that.

There was a topic a while back that was similar to this. You were supposed to list all the "Bad furry habits" you had.

Anyways, theres a really long list of all the furry things I do on that thread. So I won't re-list them all. I DO growl and hiss at people when they make me mad and I always go up stairs on all fours.

I have my own doggy chew toys that I'll chew on when I'm bored, around people or not. In fact I just got a new one today and couldn't wait to chew on it. So I unwrapped it on the way to the car and chewed on it while driving home.

I guess I'm a hard core fur too. '<img'>

it's not really that hard, curse these short limbs i'd been faster if they where longer lol.

oh i love the wilderness i can just run forever ( well maybe thats because i'm in great shape and can already do that regardless lol ) hard trying not to lose yer self in it lol. :D

oh yea ( saw this a bit up but don't know how to qoute lol )
but i to open everything with my teeth, wheather it be a bag, a can tab, even bottle lids lol, hell at my job ( KFC --SIGHS-- ) i even get the urge sometimes to open the raw chicken bags with my teeth, but that be stupid. and alot of times i can't sleep unless curled up on my side lol

Spacing out is quite useful sometimes. I can bring it on at will and most of the time I'll do it to pass the time quickly if I'm really bored. I just imagine my self flying over vast land scapes and feel the wind in my face, and then the 2 hour car journey is over ^.=.~
Okay I know what you are talking about! I have ADHD and have a time keeping my mind on track so if I am bored I just let my eyes go unfocused and start to think about a interesting subject...most of the time I tend to think of ideas I have for books and then next thing I know I am being called back to the real world by some one or thing.

I weiner my head to one side if something is interesting to me, and I squeak a lot, especially when something startles me.

That and there's nuzzling, curling up in bed, and growling. I never seem to realize when I do it but people around me seem to think it's cute. Not a lot of people I know are aware of furries though.

Wow... appears this thread was brought back from the dead. That's okay; I found it interesting enough to read all the way through (and enjoy how the action of tilting your head to one side is now called "wiener" by the filter). :)

I also "weiner" my head to the side quite frequently, especially when trying to look cute. It usually doesn't work, but I still do it.

I have the tendency to growl every once in a while. I've growled at children while working at Wal-Mart, and (luckily) the parents always found it cute. I growl quite a bit when I'm frustrated, and I've found that I pace a lot when angry.

As for spacing out, it happens to me ALL THE TIME. Like, seriously, guys, all the time. I'll usually just lie down in the middle of the floor or start messing around with some random thing when that happens, too. Nobody seems to mind, now; they just seem to expect that. There are just too many small things for me; nothing is really outstanding and something that people find weird, but there's a whole lot.

I have one more: I can puff my chin up like a frog. :)

Ooh, I'll have to show pictures of that one... :D

I once saw a documentary where they talked about how caged zoo animals would just pace back and forth relentlessly, for long stretches at a time.

The people filming the documentary didn't seem to know why they did that. But I do.

I'm pretty sure that I have done my share of "furry" antics in public, but I'm not too certain how many I can recall. One being, I tend to shake my head to get excess water off it after stepping out of the shower, or the pool.

I switch to quadrupedal locomotion for climbing up stairs (It's faster).

I once returned a friendly hug (by a male friend) with a nuzzle.

I have been known to tilt my head in a distinctly canine fashion when puzzled.

I paw the ground or "rest" my foot in a equine like manner.

I once hissed at someone in a feline manner.

Hmm. I guess the species designation of "Array" fits me well.

I sorta zoned out once when i was climbing a tree, and when i came to, i cracked my head on a branch, and fell. Remarkably, i managed to get my legs around branch, to stop myself from falling.
