A Few of the things i've written
« on: December 08, 2008, 11:48:48 pm »
Here are just a few poems i've written, I normally don't show what i've read simply because of the dark or controversial conversation found in them; however I don't see anything wrong with posting these few. Any comments would be appreciated.

The Madness
There is a science called madness,
Shunned by many.
Rarely understood.
And in its glare many see sadness.

It is a very powerful obsession,
Consuming ones mind.
Destroying ones reason.
Insanity to have it in possession.

It invades the world around,
Innocent in thought.
Guilty at heart.
Yet it has a will unbound.

It cannot be stopped by fear,
By strength.
By mind.
Not even by what it holds dear.

It truly is the unstoppable love
With only an end in an unsatisfied death

Accursed Gifts:

Intelligence is a curse
It brings no great bliss
For in lies you will immerse
And learn to what is amiss

Strength surely is no blessing
For it leaves you alone
Those will come to you confessing
Those will be who you condone

With great gifts we see,
What lack can truly be

Ignorance is a great gift
For no knowledge of sin
For blindness to the evils
Lets you see as good has been

Frailty seems like such a bad thing
For its own truth it does hide
As great relief it would bring
Because in others you would abide

With great gifts we see
What lack can truly be

Heya, Inquisitor!  Glad to see you've posted here!

You know, I remember writing poetry like this a while back.  I love how "Madness" is described as an "unstoppable love", and I'd actually like to hear more about that; I think it could be fun to play with and show how it's love.

You know, I didn't even realize there was a rhyme scheme until now.  In my opinion, that's good; nothing felt forced.  I felt it flowed very nicely.

Dark subjects can be a bit hard to share, especially when you share it with others.  However, I love to read those along with controversial subjects.  They make me think more.  :)

Thanks for sharing!
Allasso, Volume 2: Saudade is now out!  Feel free to check it out ^_^
