What?

Exactly how flexible would I have to be to do this?

I've always wanted too. It makes me feel more like my animal.

Ummm...well, I think it IS possible, but not for the average person. If you really want to be able to do that, I suggest you start stretching every day to loosen your muscles up

i've done it a few times, just for messing around, but i had to hold my leg back with my arm, idk if the leg can go that far back on its own power.

I've actually started to do this automatically before realizing that my foot just won't reach that far. My brain tells me to do it, but a split second later I realize I can't

I knew you said you had "Spiritual Connections" with dogs
But off of pure habit, you try to scratch your ear with your foot?
Your spiritual connection is a bit more than i thought

Although, i tend to yawn like a cat - and sleep in a ball with bundles of pillows , and anyway why would you automatically use your foot?, isnt it more logical to use your fingers?

I hope of course your not talking as your fursona, I better prepare to be embarrased (I cant spell) -.-

If i was flexible to do that, the possibilities would be endless

. I think I tried it once while playing around ... ended up almost pulling something.

Well I can't actually do it. It's more of an impulse that hits me sometimes. I'll feel an itch and my first thought is sometimes to use my foot. Then immediately after I realize this is impossible and use my hand. As a compromise I'll often paw at my itchy head with my hand the way I've seen my german shepherd do. I do however often bite my arm instead of scratch it when it itches.

I've got pretty long legs, but I don't really have a hard time getting my foot back to my head. However, it'd be hard to do an actual scratching motion.

But I think it'd be cool to have that impulse. I have enough animalistic thoughts, but that isn't one of them. Cool for you, Dog.

As far as flexability goes I COULD have done it about a year ago, but I don't stretch anymore. I used to be able to get my feet behind my head as far as that goes so I guess I coulda scritched my ear

I think the most you can do is hold your leg up. Maybe with practice?

I dunno about doing it normally, but there are some folks who can scratch their ear while in suit. JD Puppy is the best example that comes to mind.

I'm just not flexable enough for that. I do compromise by scratching in a rapid fashin, like a canine, however

Yeah, the "hind foot scratch" is really more a function of anatomy than behavior, and behavior is really what counts. But if you get a kick out of it...

I also tend to scratch itches like Ziel described. I've got a few looks for it, too!

it's possible but you have to be quite bendy or flexibel to be able to do it. I could do it if I wanted (heck I can put my leg behind my leg) but it's more of a feline and canine thing
