What am I? Confused again...

I'm once again unsure of myself. I love all animals, feel fairly "generic", yet want to be only one thing. Below is a growing list of traits and behaviors. That is to say, I may update them. Ideas for fursonas so far?


-Semi-social. Like people a lot, but need to withdraw periodically.

-Like one on one interaction best

-Love forests and rainforests

-Completely nocturnal. I am far more active at night than during the day, tired during the day, and probably need a night job!

-I growl a low-throated growl when very irritated. My mouth remains closed.

-I rely a great deal on touch and scent. Also vision, somewhat.

-I tend to attach to certain people

-I am very playful

-I am very patient with people, sometimes too patient, but I usually can stand up for myself

-I like the sun, despite being nocturnal!

-I am very paradoxical

-I am friendly

-Though a bit socially nervous, I'm not usually shy

-I identify a lot by smell

-I am very energetic. People often are worn out by me, or energized by me, depending.

- I get overexcited and silly in large groups

-I'm a bit high maintenance in relationships.

-I'm good with children

-I like to chew on soft things

- I have a high tolerance for temperature extremes

- Oddly, I am not all that adaptable, usually

-I have a  tendency to follow people around

-I have a strong attachment to trees

-I’m quite tolerant

-I’m very vocal. Sometimes when bored I will amuse myself with sound

-I have a short attention span, but am very observant

-Touch is important to me. I love to show affection, such as hug

-I can never sit still

-I’m very motherly

honestly I'd say somewhere between a Raccoon and a Snow Leopard, maybe a hybrid of them two? *squees at the thought*

Like Avan said, just pick something.  You are whatever you want to be, even if your characteristics say otherwise.

I just asked myself what I thought I was, I started as a tiger but went to wolf and coyote abd to all other animals. Just pick the one you like the best, and you can change whenever you want if your not comfortable.
I see a lot of traits I posses in your list!

When reading your list I thought; "Flying Fox!" (Fruit Bat), but figuring yourself out can take awhile. Don't rush it, don't worry about it. I had to go through a few different 'sona ideas and characters, play them out in different scenarios, and re-examine what they meant to me many times before I even began to feel like I was 'allowed' to settle on one.

I never had a favorite animal, so I had to look back and try to pick out one that had shown up a lot in my life and draw my attachments to it from there.

That's what I thought of too--except for the growling part.  Flying foxes usually make a whistling noise.  (At least the Egyptian ones I used to be around did.)

I keep thinking a vampire bat
They're good with each other because if one has a baby and cannot fly to get its meal then another will regurgitate some blood for it and they're nocturnal 
Or maybe a meerkat? They baby sit the pups and look out for one another. I guess they could have high maintenance relationships because they live in tight nit family groups.
