Jack & Jill: An in-dev survival horror visual novel
« on: June 02, 2015, 08:57:09 pm »
If you like horror games, visual novels, or both, I've got some news for you!

I'm currently making a visual novel entitled Jack & Jill.  It's about our eponymous heroes who go to fetch a pail of water for their sickly Mother Dearest, but get lost in the dark, dark woods surrounding the hill their well is situated upon.  What dangers lurk in the woods, and what do they have planned for Jack and Jill?  Can you make the decisions that lead  them to the well in back and get them both back home to Mother alive?

The game will be available for free download on GameJolt: http://gamejolt.com/games/adventure/jack-jill/66821/. [VIOLENT CONTENT WARNING]
There is currently a (very early) alpha build up for download, but it's just a teaser of how the game will look and operate (though some minor changes have been made).

Jack & Jill is pretty bare-bones at the moment, but so far the main story is mostly hammered out and over thirty character animations have been completed.  The game will have a full soundtrack from several different musicians (mostly complete now), be completely animated, and have unique animations for every character interaction.  The soundtrack will also be freely available.  It should be noted that the game is going to be violent and won't be appropriate for the faint of heart, but will not be an "adults-only" game.

I wanted to share this with you all since there will be many anthropomorphic characters in the game (a wolf, a deer, a fox, and a hare) and because I'm looking for feedback from what I have so far, as well as any ideas you might have.  I can also take any questions if you have any!
I make ambient and noise music: http://nickshutter.bandcamp.com/
