In Florida, it's illegal to kill a skunk ape... their version of Bigfoot. In Florida, it's also illegal to commit suicide; now how are they gonna enforce that one?!

Here in Michigan, it's illegal to tie an alligator to a fire hydrant.

In Nevada it's illegal to ride a camel down the street.

Actually I beleive suicide is illegal almost everywhere......they don't do anything to the succesful people, just the unsuccesful.

Well, I know that the Camel law in Nevada was invented because a entertainer from Aladdin's Palace (the Casino) actually rode a camel down a street and caused an accident. I dunno, that's what I heard.

It's isn't in the UK...

it was made legal in 1961 before that you whould be hung.

if I remember correcly It was made illegl in 1889.

I seem to remember something about a law (either in a town or the whole state) in North or South Carolina where it is illegal to eat sunny side up eggs. I guess there was some complaints about cholesterol or something.

The only time I really heard about that law being enforced was when this one band wanted to have someone commit suicide on stage during one of their shows, so the city actually pulled out that old law to prevent them from having that as part of their gimmick.

I think that the band were looking for terminally ill patients who wanted to go out with a bang in front of the spectators.

i know it used to be illegal to run out of gas in youngs town ohio..

Ooopsie, I should have been more specific, I meant suicide is illegal pretty much everywhere in the U.S. I believe it is illegal, because then they can commit you for observation.

This isn't really funnry so much as ridiculous, but in North Carolina it's illegal for an unmarried couple to live together.
Sodomy used to be illegal but they got rid of that last year...

I don't remember what state it was in, but apparently, it's illegal to walk around in that state with a duck on your head.

Its illegal to commit suicide here, too. That law has always seemed kinda.. weird to me, but I guess in some ways I can understand it x.X;

But.. hmm. I cant think of any really stupid laws in this country...allthough I'm sure there is at least a few.

In Marshalltown, Iowa, horses are forbidden to eat fire hydrants.
Hunting camels is prohibited in Arizona.
In Quitman, Georgia, it is against the law for a chicken to cross any road within the city limits.
In Texas, it's illegal to put graffiti on someone else's cow.
You can't blow your nose in public places in Leahy, Washington, because it might scare a horse and cause it to panic.

in the state of masichusettes*sp* it is illegal to carry a concieled weapon more than 14 feet long

in the state of alabama it is illegal to wear odd socks to church(not sure about that one, but someone told me it was true)

in the state of new york it is illegal to make faces at a dog on wednesdays

in the state of alabama you cannot that off in an aeroplane whilst in sight of a donkey

(cant remember what state this ones from) but you cant walk dow the main street wearing cowboy boots unless you own a cow

In Australia it is illegal to conceal a weapon, but you are legally required to conceal your weapon.

Here are some Australian dumb laws (as well as some other countries, but I'm focusing on Australia)

And good news for all you crow furrs and bird lovers out there, it is illegal to shoot a crow in Queensland (AU$225000 (US$157500) fine and/or 2 years in prison).
