Pokemon

It seems to me we have quite a few fans of Pokemon here, but no place to discuss it.  So yeah, here's a thread for us to do that.

New slogan:  Pokemon, Gotta Kill'em all!  :goldbloody:   I wish that entire franchise would just die. No more tv shows and no more video games. It's been running for far too long.  :P

^^ I agree with both of you...

Not to bash the people who like this franchise, but it seems like there are always fanboys who yell at me when I say I don't play any Pokemon. They act as if I'm not part of their "clique" just because I never played a game growing up. I'm not sure what the big deal is; it's just a video game. Maybe I don't like the same stuff you do. Deal with it.

I love Pokemon. I've got a vaporeon tattoo down my left hip which I posted pictures of a while back, and plan on a matching style flareon on the other hip. Having said that, I'm really only a fan of gen 1 and 2, although I have (and currently am) playing some of the later games.

Long-time Pokemon player here. Since the original Red and Blue on the Game Boy ^.^

Alrighty then, i guess i'll slink back into my hole of shame.  As a fan who started on gen-three who has thoroughly enjoyed every* Pokemon game he's played, it's nice to know i'm part of a booming demographic that can look at itself in the mirror without crying in shame of what we enjoy.

Now if you'll excuuuuuuse me, i'll get back to over-grinding my team on Alpha Sapphire.  Gotta love Armaldo.  ;)

(*I wasn't too sold on on gen-four, but gen-five made up for it.)

I'm sensing a mild case of the trolls here...  :D

I'm assuming this is meant to be taken sarcastically, but i'll take your thank you in stride nonetheless.  Thanks! :)

On another note, what are your preferred Pokemon types?  I seem to lean towards Dark, Steel, Rock, Ground, and Bug types.  I also find that i rarely use Electric, Grass, Fighting and Flying types.

Weisseman bought be a 3DS for my birthday, and a copy of Pokemon Y, so I have got back into it big time. While I don't think the designs are as good as the Gen I stuff, it's still a very enjoyable game.

I tend to lean towards fire, water and dark types. Until recently, my Y team was 50% fire types xD

I also logged into the Pokebank today and snagged myself the Regitrio, which is nice.

Are you guys planning on giving in to pokemon go?
I was a pretty active ingress player, so I imagine I could have a lot of fun with Pokemon go.
Just a little sad that it's only the original run.
I'll have to wait a while before they add other pokemon and I can have a cute gardevoir.
Throw your pebble in the mainstream and start a ripple.
