Title: What kind of music do you listen to when studying or doing assignments?

I mostly listen to Justice, Daft Punk, and Knife Party

Sometimes I will listen to the Josh Vietti station on Pandora or the Classical for Studying station

I may also listen to a bit of Surf (The album with Chance The Rapper in it, I don't know who else worked on it)

If I'm studying, I prefer to simply have my headphones on just for the silence that it gives. I can't listen to music and study at the same time because I will start singing with the songs ;) However, if I am just chilling, I love Green Day and Fall Out Boy.

Spanish guitar (Govi in particular is one of my favorites so far), classical music (Beethoven, Mozart), some Japanese or Chinese spa music (I don't know what else to call it lol). Sometimes if I listen to Josh Groban or other artists I normally like I get too distracted.... :-[

My weapon of choice these days tends to be Amiga music compilations (Protracker etc). I find them relaxing and energetic in equal measure, and as I don't find myself distracted by things like lyrics and guitar solos, it serves quite well. Almost like a studying montage sequence in a movie  8)

i usually listen to coldplay, my chemical romance, or ed sheeran. idk, they help me concentrate.

In this case, my assignments would be writing stories or RP material.  In that case, i choose what i listen to carefully, because the music will guide my work.  For example, if i were to work on a project while listening to NIN, it would likely turn dark and tragic rather quickly.  Likewise, if i were to tackle the same project while listening to Foster the People, it would likely have a more upbeat feel to it.

I just love that i can do my two favorite things at the same time, and make it a single activity.

More recently, I discovered that it is much easier to focus when working and listening to music from a game soundtrack. FTL: Faster Than Light has great music for working or studying, mostly because the game requires a lot of focus as well. :)

I usually just listen to black metal or maybe some funeral doom, like this (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UIaHlkCc1yY). Pretty much what I usually listen to. I just like having something going.

i mostly listen to dubstep or any other music that doesnt have many words. ive noticed that i might be lostening to a song while writing a paper then accidnetally write the lyrics.

Something upbeat to set a pace, hardcore to set a mood and something not very thought provoking. So... Five Finger Death Punch, occasionally Volbeat, System of a Down, and others.
