I'll let you know if it ever happens.  So far I've had no success in that department.  (Not that I've really been trying all that hard; right now I consider myself lucky to have been able to make friends at all IRL. '<img'>)

Well I did have a girlfriend before ((well four years ago))who was a non-fur but after a few months we broke up cause well I guess we didn't see eye to eye but its okay. Now I'm a single fur and really don't mind if I date a fur or a non-fur just as long as they respect me for who I am and love me for who I am then that's what really counts in my eye.

Dawn is furry, but it doesn't play a large role in her life anymore, to be honest, it plays less a role in mine as well.  I'm glad that I have someone who shares an interest in furry with me, but I'm more glad for all the other things we have in common.

Take the furry connection away from us and I think we would still have an incredible bond.  Furry is just a small part of that bond.

My mate is a fur, and she is the best thing that has ever happened to me.  We were married in April of this year. '<img'>

Congradulations! ^__^

Thank you very much.  She is a winged Black werewolf that goes by the name of Raveness Wolf.  She's not on much here on Furtopia, every once in a while.

What I'm wondering, is how many furry couples are natural predator-and-prey?  '<img'> Not that the opposition of the species would make any serious difference (or any difference at all), I just think it's rather amusing! For example, my mate's fursona is a ferret, and I'm a snake.

I've had a bit of both. Two furry and one non-furry significant other in all, though towards the end of that relationship I did corrupt her a bit into the fandom =P. Personaly either way I could care less, if they're furry good for them if not I wont look any less on them. People are people  ':p'  .

Its like that with Tak and I. Tho I dont ever foresee Furry not being part of us in some way.

I've had mates that were non-fur, before.  Raveness Wolf is my first furry mate and the last mate I will ever have.

The girls I date generally tend to be animal lovers too. I don't ask if they're furries or not, as me being me we rarely become more than friends after about two weeks.

Interestingly enough, my ex recently told one of her freinds that she's a furry. Never mind though, eh?

My mate isn't exactly furry per se, but he does have a totem animal that he holds a deep bond with much like I do with my jackal. He's a big black tomber wolf.  '<img'>

Well, all my nonfur mates have been less really affectionate and moreso amorous to the point of being unfaithful. They were average gals for the most part, but they were more interested in bedroom play than BEING mates, my mate today is a fur, and she is very affectionate and truely loving. It more than likely has to do with the person themselves, however I do know that affection is more open and freely shown within the fandom with out ridicule by ones peers within the fandom. I feel so much better as well knowing for a fact that my mate understands the fact that I'm a fur, it honestly feels alot better when I say something about it and she doesn't look at my like I spoke a foreign language.
The bond we share also includes our fursona's, so furry is actualy part of our relationship, whats more, we never would have met if we were not furs, our general interests, though some what similar, are not the same or would take us to the same places.  *chuckles softly* It all started when I apologised for not leaveing my little Chimera a greeting post the night before I seen her in the IRC ^v^

I have Kiwi, my snow leopard better half, but in reality she's more than just a mate. I say that because I always see people who kiss/sleep/yiff one time being "mated". Is that all you have to do to be a mate? If so, then I'm glad I have the opportunity to go further.

Maybe if there was a furry term for something deeper...

Well, I for one don't see some one mated even if they are just boyfriend and girlfriend, ( adjust those as is necesary for other preferences ^v^), seen too many of those just based on yiff, or physical atraction, to me mates are the deeper meaning, and some one is not mated to me unless they truely go further than pleasures of the flesh

That's a good way of putting it. Perhaps if the word wasn't flung around so carelessly, it would hold more meaning.

So yes, in your sense, Kiwi and I are truly mated.

Well I am happily mated and engaged to a fur.
heh.. oddly enough he's a Liger and I am a housecat.. o.o; but somehow in the mix it works. '<img'>

I've dated non-furs previously but it was never something I was comfortable to disclose to them.

He and I have a strong bond, hell he can usually read my mind on anything. It's almost creepy, and to be honest, I have never been treated so well in my life. Its like we were just meant to be together.

I've never had a mate..and I think if I ever did, they'd probably be a fur. It's just too large a part of my life and I don't think it'd ever work out with a non-fur.

It was in fact my human mate that suggested to me that I may be a furry. Me never hearing of such a thing found it interesting and started learning amore about it. If it weren't for him I think Ocelot would be caged inside me forever, in a way he set me free and into the wild. He's not a fur but I think enjoys the fact that I am and likes to (ride on my tail so to speak) visit the places I can take him.
*he sits at the waterfall and watches its infinite patterns.  It reminds him of his ocelot, the way that every different angle he looks at it reveals another beautiful aspect*
