I you could have one special ability of any animal, what would it be? Try to be a bit creative and not repeat what others said!

I would like to have really good eyesight like eagles because mine is really bad and it's something I would probably enjoy.

I would like to be able to climb vertical surfaces and panes of glass as well as my pet snake can.

Or else be able to brumate like a beardie. But that one is less socially acceptable.

if mystical animals count then i'd chose a dragon's ability to live forever (not die of age) and their magic abilities.
if it has to be a real animal then i'd chose a naked mole-rat's ability to live longer for a creature of its type, and it's ability to be mostly cancer resistant. or turtle's ability to live a long time
 
reason for just living longer is because technology/research can solve many things though the thing is you need to be able to survive till it's that advanced. also just for the sake of around longer.

This is exactly what I thought someone would say and why I didn't pick good hearing or good smelling because bad smells and loud sounds and a good eyesight isn't something that can harm you.

Screw eagle vision when I can fly  like an eagle.

But as far as vision, I would go for cat ot owl, super sensitive and night vision.

But, if I had to choose something more flashy... I like the idea of having a light frame with digitigrade legs suited for climbing and sprinting. Cat parkour, yay.

That, and a strong sense of scent, to find those special hidden things, and know where others have been.

That's a tough bargain actually. On one hand, it'd be cool to have super strength and speed, but on the other being able to fly would be awesome too. Can someone genetically modify me to have the strength, wings, tail, horns, and wings of a dragon? Please?

no, its actually electricity. it doesnt affect the eel becuase its outer skin is insulating so it wont conduct the electricity. for your second question, the eel usually just does it as a defense mechanism, its intended to stun everything in the water.

There are actual real animals that don't die from old age. At least some kinds of lobsters don't age in the traditional sense.  And there is a kind of jellyfish that can revert to polyp stage.

I would agree that living long enough to see all the future benefits of technology would be very cool.
