how would animal/human hybrids would call themselves?

I am writing somehing in which there are humans and *furries* and those furries know they are a genetic stew from man animals and humans and most likely each individual is a mix of more than human and one animal.

how would these creatures call themselves?

I was thinking therianthropes, ore therians to be short.

Anthropomorphic, which happens to be a word, and might work well
as a general term for them. 

I imagine each hybrid species would come up with a name or use one they
liked that others suggested.


"Chakat" is one that was made up for large cat taurs. If you look it
up online. Be "warned" there is adult content in some of the
stories, and perhaps some of the drawings as well.

yes... dont remind me of chakats please, my creatures often get compared to them, or assumed to be herms, because of the taur condition, and i am well aware of the adult rated stuff with them
