I'm not sure why, but on my laptop, I see either the left or the right of the bottom two images, depending on what angle I view my screen at.  As was the case for Mylo and Loc, Amy's original post looks like a single white block to me.

@Loc, redpaw, and redyoshi49q: Well, there's your problem. You guys are using crappy TFT displays without gamma correction, aren't you? For most such displays, a gamma correction factor of 0.45 is required for colours to appear even remotely correct. Go into your display driver configuration and set your gamma correction factor to 0.45 (give or take depending on your individual monitor). This will enable your monitor to display colours (almost) correctly, at the expense of being able to display very dark colours at all. Though TFT displays can't display dark colours correctly anyway, so nothing of value was lost.

I just hope you weren't using those displays for your art. If you were, you art probably has colours reminiscent of Monet's paintings before he had his cataracts removed. Sorry.

I think it is, since the question is what the aforementioned beige text with beige glow actually looks like. If it looks white, or any colour other than beige, your monitor is badly out of tune. I'm pretty certain Amy is not at all surprised by the fact that beige text on a beige background is unreadable, and is more likely to be surprised by the fact that it doesn't actually look beige on uncalibrated monitors (a fact which didn't even occur to me until multiple people all claimed it looked white).

Maybe, …Amy hasn't said anything other than what's in the first post, so it's difficult to be sure what's the reason for the post.
