I think I'm turning raccoon, but how can I be sure?

I do wash hands a whole lot.
I've got dark circles around eyes.
I operate in the dark.
I have thumbs.
I have dug through the trash a bit lately.
I often have to go head first in my own trash to fish our something I didn't mean to put in there, and people stare.

But mostly I have been crossing paths with them a whole lot and seem to know where they are. And when I see them they aren't afraid of me.  I've come across about 8 of them in the last few months.
