I would assume Rocket is an anomaly following several hundreds of thousands of generations of grey foxes and the amalgamation of a transcendent fox spirit and a simpler one.

Tabby doesn't really have a set ancestry, per se. The idea that I have is that they're just reincarnated at various points throughout history.

I think that maybe one of Blue's ancestors was some sort of land owner like a duke or governer.
