Oh * death omen?
« on: June 22, 2005, 01:36:47 am »
Hmm.... So need all you furry shrinks to see this and analyze:

A lion walks up an icy mountainside with some difficulty finally reaching the top which is aperantly the goal, also finds a green gem encrusted odd world at the top. Another smaller lion repeats the process with more difficulty. Then finally I manage to climb the slope, It was much easier for me than the others, I seemed more physically fit. But then I think, no, this green land is not what I want, I am looking for something else: a single gem a shard. I find it quickly and attempt to return down the mountainside, leaving the green hevan. Then a roar bursts out very loudly causing all but the green land to fall to dust in an avalanche, I then begin to wonder who did it, who made the noise? as I'm falling amid the ice I see the gem, and reach for it but miss, as I do so I see something reflecting in the gem, my reflection. Then I realized it didn't matter who roared, i think it was me,but that was unimportant, but something about my reflection scared me, badly.

not exactly a death omen, but close, very close. almost a warning?  ''

help me.

Mabey not a death omen, mabey more a warning to take a close look at your self before chasing after what your searching for. Perhaps you won't find, and keep, what you're looking for untill you change something about yourself...

Then again..this comes for a girl who sees seven crows on a fence watching her and draws comfort from it when everyone else sees it as a death omen.

It sounds like a lesson more of priorities, really. Don't sweat the small stuff.

Pagans, back me up on this!

I agree, "dark" don’t necessary mean “evil.” To be a balanced and centered individual I believe that you need to understand and sometimes walk the path of the dark side. Knowing the dark side that dwells within all humans gives you greater focus and understanding of your true self.

As for your dream, I told you my option when you PM me and my option wasn’t changed:

Quote
It sounds to me that the elder lion is leading you and the smaller lion to this green place, perhaps to show you or teach you something. The lion is symbolic of the assertion of the feminine and the power of the female sun, if the guiding animal was a lioness then maybe she was leading you on a mission to learn more about your feminine energies- creativity, intuition, and imagination. If the elder lion was a male it suggests something completely different; the reason why the lion totem primarily deals with the feminine is because do very little work, their only job is to protect the pride from against predators and reproduction. When the male lion shows up, you usually need to examine your usefulness within some group or community in your life.

Next you see a world of green but are unsatisfied by your surroundings. Some of the beneficial aspects of the color green is expansion and harmony, it could mean that your are unhappy with the harmony of your life or the way it was been going of late. Then a roar breaks the harmony and causing the world to shatter. This roar is very important, lions only roar for two reasons: when hunting as a way to scare their pray to the lioness laying in waiting and when they are intruded upon or whenever they feel threatened. If it was you who made the roar maybe something about the green world threaten or unsettled you so you roared to be Reid of it.

Then there is more green symbolism, this time in the from of a rock or crystal shard. Judging by the dreams content I think the negative aspects of this color are being personified: jealousy, greed, envy, disorder, resistance. I believe that what was being reflected in that shard was that of your “dark side,” the part of you that is tainted by jealousy, greed, and dark desire. The fact that this image of yourself scared you indicates that you must be basically a good person.

“When a lion has shown up, there will be opportunity to awaken to a new sun.” I’m not sure why the spirit of the lion wanted to show you a different side of yourself, maybe the lion telling you to atone for an act of greed or envy that may have shattered the harmony of your environment or was simply a lesson to show you the dark side that dwells within all humans so you can better understand your true self, thus boost your “feminine energies.”

Heres what i think:

A dream is a dream. It cannot predict the future. You can only predict the future to a certerain degree.

(IE:pick an atom and throw it...pick a spot in its path. say 'this atom will be here, in X ammount of time' you might be right or wrong...the chances can be .999 to .00001...but even if you pick a spot behind the atom's trail, it still might end up there)

So i think your dream is telling you something about yourself. You're stronger in one way or another then most people. You're able to overcome obsticles better then some of your friends.

Im not quite sure what the gem means, or the roar, unless you tell us something out of the ordinary happend recently...

This is an interesting dream. As i belive in the paranormal, it could be an omen, and it also couldn't. if it means anything to you, then thats what it is. Its your dream, after all and its happening to you, so you are best suited to analize the message.

What it means to me is that you see that many are enjoying what they see at the top of the mountin, but as you get up there in easier effort than you expected, whatever you find doesn't really satisfy you. Everyfur and everyone is diferent with diferent interests and points of satisfaction. while others are satisfied with a jem, you might be satisfied with something compleatly different. As for the avalanche, that is symbolism of the short-comings of your expectations of the reward of the journey. You expect something great and rewarding but yet when you acive what you search for, in the scheme of things, its basically not what you expect.

I hope my rambling helps you. Im experiencing something simmilar to this and I feel it aplies to your situation as well.

I wish you find a sound mind and easy life in the future. '<img'>

P.s. Dreams are all of the subconcience. something could have triggered the dream(stress, over secureity, ect.) just don't take it too seriously.

A dream is a dream. It means nothing (well, that's what I think). I recently had a rather unnerving dream, but it was because I've been under a lot of... uh... upset. You shouldn't really dwell on stuff like that for too long or take it too seriously. It's probably nothing.

I think i got a death omen, or some sort of bad omen. I just started getting into the fandom a year or so ago, and right as I found out I liked being a raccoon...I saw the episoad of CSI, now it didnt really upset me, I thought it was funny but the creepy thing is, moast of the episoad was about a 30 something man who went to furry orgys as a raccoon and then got shot and hit by a car after being poisoned. Now I'm only 17 and I dont go to furry orgys but, I just hope that show didnt come on as a sign of my future  ''
