The blue unicorn is indeed Trixie.  They also seem to have a Lyra/Heartstrings.  I don't recognize some of the others...  The Zecora and DJ Pon3/Vinyl Scratch look especially spiffy.  I'm hoping that they rework how they're planning to sell them though, 'cause I'm a lot less likely to buy DJ Pon3 or any of those other new ones if I have to pay for a doubles of Rainbow Dash and Pinkie Pie to do so.

I don't know why these little plastic objects are so compellingly addictive for me.  It makes more sense with my daughter who's actually the right age to play with them for hours on end.  I don't do that any more.  But, the fact that my attention span for playing with them has significantly waned since I was her age has seemingly not changed my appetite for them accordingly.

(Only vaguely related side note:  I really feel like Pon3 should actually be spelled with a 'w' -- Pwn3.)

How did I not notice this announcement or thread before? Oh right, happened while I was out of town. Derp. MUFFINS!

Anyhow, I'd never really thought about getting any of the toys. But Vinyl Scratch, Zecora, and Trixie (for whatever reason) in that picture just look really good. Colors are done well and all. I could possibly be inclined to pick up a couple of these. Though I would still prefer the full-cast ones, rather than the brushables.

I may have a Toy's R Us operative in my local store to help me nab that Vinyl Scratch.

BTW, do their horns look like those Kong dog chew toys to anyone else here (Celli excluded)?

Agreed on the Kong thing, too. The horn style looks to be different than before. Perhaps a bit less... pokey. Let's hope that isn't because the horns were deemed a 'safety hazard'...

I'm glad there are finally ponies from the show, but I'm not interested in getting the brushables at all.  When fully-molded ponies come out, then I'll be much more easily separated from my money.

My four-year-old will be getting this set from the Easter bunny in a few months.  I'm looking forward to watching her play with them.
