Title: Your movie and tv show collection?
Post by: Kobuk on January 08, 2016, 04:25:46 pm: Just for fun and curiosity, how big is everyone's movie and tv show collection? I myself always prefer DVD's and Blu-Ray's instead of downloading something off the Net. I always like to have a physical copy of something. Plus, I love all the behind-the-scene features that explain the making of movies and tv shows. :)
Here's my collection so far. You might be able to see some titles.

But.........I have some box sets of stuff, like the Indiana Jones movie collection for example. That's 4 movies in one box. So my movie total would be 466 instead of 462. If I were to do this for all my other box sets, my collection might be 500-525.

That would make an interesting discussion thread topic--favorite TV series which we like to binge-watch and/or collect on DVD.

In reality, I probably have about 50-60 DVDs and Blu-Rays, and I'm like you, Kobuk; I prefer having physical copies rather than just streaming. I also got a lot of movies for Christmas.

That being said, i'm sure that about 10% of those DVDs get 95% of the usage. We have plenty of movies, but the stuff that gets played the most is mostly TV shows. I'm bored so i'm going to list some of our favorite stuff to watch...

Kids in the Hall: Season 1

Kids in the Hall: Brain Candy

MXC: Seasons 1 and 3 (still don't have season 2 for some reason...)

Ren and Stimpy: Season 1 and half... or whatever.

Mr. Show: Seasons 1-3

Monty Python's Flying Circus: All four seasons

Manborg (It's a real movie, i promise.)

AXE GIANT: The Wrath of Paul Bunyan

Drunk History: Seasons 1 and 2

Yu-Gi-Oh: Volumes 4 and 15 (best 2$ i ever spent!)

And of course, the most used disk of them all, by a HUGE lead...

TROPIC THUNDER (THE BEST MOVIE EVER MADE, IF YOU DIDN'T KNOW)

I also would like to note that if The JonTron Show was available in disk format i would buy everything, in triplicate.

But counting my old VCR tapes and dvd's I have recorded my collection
is probably almost 200 tapes and dvd's together. The number of videos
and cartoons would be well over 400 including commercals. :P
