I'm partially Assexual... But, if I were to (ever) have a girlfriend, I think it would be all the same. A Furry one would be great, though, since she might understand some parts of me better.
In any case, someone who isn't so human. n.n;;

Fur, I am incapable of loving a non-fur more than as a friend or family member.

It has nothing to do with thinking furries are better, I simply can not love someone further than that unless they are on the same wavelength as me. Being furry is my core personality feature, it defines my every thought as well as my libido and I don't think I would be compatible with someone that isn't at least partially similar in these ways.

Hmm... Fur mate, no doubt about it.

Although right now I could go for anything, so long as it breathes or has rechargable batteries.

I would like a fur mate, that way I don't have to explain the whole furry thing to begin with. It avoids some odd questions.

I chose other because it really won't matter to me once I fall in love whether or not they are a fur. But They would have to understand that I am a fur, and it's a huge part of me. '<img'>

I would not want an anthro mate... I do want to have children someday.

And it was a matter of happy circumstance that my current mate is a fur as well.  Human or furry... doesn't matter to me at all.  This is someone I love.   '<img'>
Did I do that?

I said fur mate just cause its  pretty much what I am used to and fantasize about, however in reality I figure that species doesn't matter as long as love is there, like when I had my last girlfriend... She became the only thing on my mind and furry babes just seemed to dewindle into nothingness in my mind. After we broke up though it was back to furry again. I am such a hypocrit  '<img'>

I'd definitely prefer a furry mate too, but if I'm in love, I'm not really gonna care too much. It's the bond that counts and not whether they're a furry or not.

*places vote, looks at the poll*

Wow.

Anyway, I put down "Furry Mate" too, though like a lot of people said before me, I wouldn't brush off someone just for being the same species as myself.  As far as I know, the human/furry difference would only be one based on appearance, the latter of which I'd obviously be more attracted to, but personality is still the most important aspect for me.

only true thing that came out of that crappy CSI episode is that most people prefer the feeling of fur to human skin, so having a anthro furry mate would be awesome. But humans are just as good, I mean as I said before it comes down to whats inside, not outside

I have more to concern myself with when thinking bout relatioships than wether or not they are a fur... Im not particually furry like (no, i have feathers! bwaaahaha!), i'm just part of the fandom. Besides, there are greaterthings about me than somone would not accept over my general 'furry-ness' that i'd haveto worry about.

So i say it's about se-... i mean love and happiness. Not about weather they be a fur, a person or an inaminate object. =P

I myself would prefer a furry mate, (saves the hassle of explaining the whole furry thing, among other things) but I'm more concerned about love, so I'll take whatever fate brings me.

I would much prefer a furry mate.   ':dead:'

Wonder if that'll ever work.  Meh.  Not on my list of priorities at the moment.

I voted furry, but would be happy with any mate who would keep her promises to me. Love, honesty, and mutual respect is what I really need. It seems though that these traits are much more apparent among the furry community. I spent nearly sixteen years with a woman who doesn't know what furrys even are. A little role-playing goes a long way.
'' But it would be so nice to be able to share this also.

An anthro mate?!?  Oh, it'd be so awesome to wake up in the morning wrapped up in my love's big fluffy tail....

I have fond dreams myself, but undoubtedly, Im going to be stuck single. Id sooner be a best freind to a girl (of any kind), then risk becoming just another ex-boyfriend. Tis a bad habit, but no one break out the violin, ok? '<img'>

If by fur you mean, not furry as in less animal and more human, yes. example = Aisha from outlawstar.

Well, since two different questions have actually popped up, I'll answer both.  '<img'>

Firstly, as far as being mated to a fur, it definitely would be nice.  I've found that that first conversation where you reveal your furry-ness can always be a bit awkward, as you never quite know what to expect. One of my previous ex-girlfriends actualy took it pretty poorly.  That being said, it'd also be nice to be able to share that part of yourself completly with your mate, and have it reciprocated as well.  Would I only mate with a fur?  Nah.  Love is love, and it's not something you should try to control.

As far as being mated to an anthro though, where do I sign up!   '<img'>
A femme fox, wolf, or cat anthro definitely beat the socks off of any current day super model in my book, and there's just something immesely appealing about the idea of snuggling up against them during a cold night.  Of course, personality is always what's most important, but I think as soon as she laughed at one of my jokes I'd be hooked for life.

-Brackhar

PS.  No offense to the species I didn't name, those are just the ones that immediatly come to mind.  '<img'>

Hrm.  I change my answer from several months ago, now.

I have had my fill of so-far-from-furry-it's-not-funny Others.

Henceforth, any Others I am with will have to at the very least be in touch with their animalistic side, and also highly understanding of me being the way I am.

Not actively seeking right now, though.  Have decided nobody here in San Antonio is anyone I want.  *Nod.*

I'd would want a Fur mate, all the way! I believe they would be a lot more fun, understanding, and compassionate. Well this is coming from a wolf who mates for life. ''
